All of the songs were good this week. Lyra's doing super good and I liked DarkShadow's and I also liked cryref's. We didn't have a lot of entries but all of them had a kind of kind, nostalgic quality to them. A lot of 6 4 5 1 progressions :)

I managed to join in again like last time because of DST. I usually rag on it, but this is a case where DST is actually a good thing haha. Anyways onto the voting!
TheVideoGamer - This track is another TVG downtempo track, but with a lot of ethereal synths, programmed with the release up to give it a tiney reverbed feel. The pads are phased slightly for a psychedlic vibe, and there is 2 breaks, a main one and a top layer mainly for hat related stuff. This track is very simple in arrangement, but it does tell a lot, opting for transitions within sections, and various changes overall. There is 2 progressions with the 2nd one including a A major6 for a bit of contrast, and a breakdown in the middle where we go for a more 80's stab approach. I also included other goodies like an arp that gets filtered throughout, and a bell sound for extra ethereal-ness. It can be seen as a little dense in terms of sound, but i think that's kind of the point. I really like this one, it's got some great melodic ideas. Oh well, glad you liked it!
DarkShadow - Quite intense for a DarkShadow entry, which is funny as every week you're usually intense haha. I do like the drums though, it's got a sort of Industrial thing going on, and the chords are very middle eastern in a way, which is not something to expect from DarkShadow. The end was nice, but a bit too loud in parts. Whole thing is perhaps a little loud for me, and i listen to a lot of loud genres. However i am generous in that this was very unique for a DarkShadow entry, it suprised me, so i'll give you this one. Well done!!
Meistr - Same rain sounds as me lol, we must have used the same idea hah. The guitar work reminds me of country music, especially so since it uses the 4 chords of pop. The break is really great, and the singing is killer. I do wish the vocals were a little louder, but that's it. It's not from a singing standpoint, it's the fact the voice is hard to hear, because of how quiet it is. The 2nd half is really nice, it sounds mildly ethnic, it's a nice beat i have to say. Lovely ideas, and great mixing (Minus the vocal mixing). I feel like giving it to you (That and there's 6 entries to choose from, sorry lol). it's also enough for the 3rd spot, awesome work!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Woah i wasn't expecting this much level of funk from you, i'll take it! That is one sexy saxophone, it's so good! These chords are absolutely funky, lots of jazz influence. You already sold me with the finger snaps to be fair. You make some killer mixes, but this one definately takes the cake for it being the tightest and funkiest. Such a great use of sounds too, part electronic part acoustic. I love how you keep taking us into different sections in such short notice, i'm always giving so many different ideas for 3 minutes, but it's not too random or disjointed it's great. Absolutely killer productions, it's excellent. It was so tough choosing between you and Cryef22 for the top spot, both are excellent, but i leant towards Cryeff's, for it being more theme accurate, even if yours is personally better mixed (Although Cryef's is mostly ambient stuff, so it's easier to mix, but i digress) Either way, it's so excellent it takes the 2nd spot, incredible work!
Lyra_183 - Welcome back, it's really nice to hear you sing again. I absolutely love that it reminds me of a church hymn. Showcases just how far you've come in the singing department. That and the concert hall reverb haha. I love how you've managed to make a smooth coherant melody, and there is some great phrasing. For the most part there is some clear pitches, played in a nice smooth way. I don't know what else to say, i'm more than generous this week, i'll give it to you. Well done!
Cryef22 - Woah this is beautiful, the piano is nice at the begining but man you really take it places when you add bells and strings, this is wonderful. You say you don't like this, but i love this. It's a mildly speedier version of a c418 track, with some beautiful melody ideas. I love how you slowly introduce each element, but it's not in the way or obtuse. It just sits really nicely in the mix. The strings in the end make it really nice dynamic, solidifying how beautiful it is. It was so tough choosing between you and DDR for the top spot, both are excellent, but i leant towards yours, for it being more theme accurate, even if DDR is personally better mixed (Although this one is mostly ambient stuff, so it's easier to mix, but i digress). It was more than enough for the top spot, Incredible work!
Arcana - I love the melodies here, it's quite unique. It's not just major keys, but there's certain chord choices that really suprised me in how good it was. The drums are nicely mixed too, it bangs well. The main trance synth also suprised me in how good it sounds rhythm and chord wise. I do like the vocals here a lot, it's suprisingly in key, even though i'll admit it's not my favourite from you (In my opinion), but it is very catchy, so even with my criticisms, it's more than enough for me to give you this one. Well done!
Top 3 - Cryef22, DDRKirby(ISQ), Meistr.
Awesome - Felt a little generous this week, everyone was awesome, plus i don't really like singling out people in the Needs Work part.
Needs Work - Everyone was awesone, so nobody needed to be in here!

All very good entries this week
- I liked the composition and overall structure of "Raindrop"
- "Splish Splosh" was sparkly and fresh-sounding, like bright lights through the rain
- The way the melody handed off between the sax, the higher 8-bit lead, and the flute in "Rainy Windshield" was very smooth
- "Into The Rain" was a nice song to end on, with the catchy chords and hopeful melody
