But an honourable mention to Colorado Weeks's entry, which should be the new OHC theme song.

TheVideoGamer - This one surprisingly has a lot more of a positive reception than i was expecting, especially for a track loud and distorted. I wasn't doing this to annoy the hell out of you, but rather, I was going for a risk taker kind of approach. Sometimes i feel like if i'm either playing it too safe, or i'm not playing it safe enough, which is why sometimes i end up in this direction, where it's too out-there. What i like VS what someone else likes will matter in a piece like this. Also since the theme is Leap of Faith, i took the plunge (Or jumped in the water, as in the 2nd image), and went more hard hitting for my piece. Basically in the best way possible, this is Turkish Gabber. We have a Zurna, which the Turkish equivalent to an Oboe, some sort of tribal drums, which might be Davul, a type of Turkish drum. End of the day, it's mostly a Middle Eastern kind of vibe, it was mostly based on samples i'd acquired earlier. The gabber parts are just...well gabber, i didn't do anything crazy here, but what i did do that kind of makes it stand out, is the long intro, mostly comprising of the Zurna but broken up in a microsample kind of way, allowing for the track to build up to the "drop" if you were to call it that. The ending is kind of a 360 back into the intro, in an attempt to end the piece. It is not super technical, and based on the distortion here, it does make you go WTH, but i can't lie and say, it is a little fun. It's nice to make something new and different sometimes. Oh well, glad you liked it!
Koekepan - Short one from you, like quite short. I love the melody here, it feels like a piano solo, but on a cool synth. I do like the soft melody changes here, especially since i thought we were mostly going to stick to 1 chord, but not we get a few. I do find this relaxing and chill, but honestly i find the length is a bit of a hinderance here (In my opinion). The setup here, makes me think were getting a 6 minute longplay, but instead it's only 1 minute and 30 seconds. I feel like we haven't fully explored the ideas, by the time i reached the end. The track could also benefit from more chords (By chords i mean, more than just bass notes on a pad), so it doesn't sound too thin. The track as an idea is lovely, but it definately could benefit from a longer runtime, it has a lot of potential. Good job!
LillyMeadows - I find whenever people make 30 second tracks, i end up with very little to comment on music wise, so it makes it harder for me to come up with any thoughts, if there's so little music. This applies to everyone, if you send me a 20-30 second piece, there's not much to critique or point out, as i don't get much to work with, if you understand. I do like the drums a lot, i feel like were in that modern 80's industrial era. Chords are so cool, it's definately the highlight for me. This has a lot of potential, good job!
DarkShadow - The DarkShadow bassline has returned, although this time were in more of a trance style, but of course with the DarkShadow chaos. I wasn't expecting a lot of flanging, but i like it. The gabber kicks at the end (Not played in a 4 on the floor style, but it's still fitting to call it gabber), were quite jarring in volume, but i suppose understandable given the nature of the style. The chords are really cool in this one, slightly more melodic than usual. I sense a lot of potential here again, good job!
cotmm68030 - Just 11 more seconds man, and you would have been our 6 minute man lol. You seem to really like doing vocal entries these last few rounds, which i'm not complaining, your vocal work is great! I just find it interesting. The drums in this are very quiet compared to the rest (In fact i'd argue the whole track is, but this is just me), but they do add a nice rhythmical element to the track, i just wish they were beefed up a bit. I do like the pad stuff in this, but it's not as melodic as one would think, which for a style like this, i kind of understand. The vocals are pretty awesome to be honest, but i feel there isn't any anticipation. It's essentially verse, stop, verse, stop. I feel like we could add more timbre elements, like more distorted parts, or a lead melody. I feel like were missing something. I do dig the end verse a lot though! Nice contrast to have a singing verse next to a rap kind of verse, that was super cool! This was a lovely idea, but with a lot of potential. Saying that though, i relistened to it, and it did grew on me quite a bit. My points about the drums remain, but the rest is more positive. So in the end, i decided to give this one to you, well done!
Misael.K - Bit earlier than usual. I really like the bitcrushed percussion here, it's soo cool, it also pairs super nicely with the airy melody, kind of tribal in parts, but also super chill and relaxing. There's a lot of really sick arps, really makes me feel like trickles of raindrops. The drums are interesting also, in that's it's pretty minimal sounding. Normally you go really hard with the kick and snare, but in this instance, it's mostly a kick and some light percussion, definately not the standard Misael beat. The melody in this one feels mostly like an arp of some kind and not really a solo lead melody, it's kind of fascinating. The whole track is very fascinating really, because even though i know it's Misael.K, it still sounds like someone new. Towards the end it get's kind of wild, there is some strong emphasis on pad sounds, making for this insanely good ethereal progression, before you switch on me, with this weird volume effect, that acts as a transition to the final chord and bass note. It's not a conventional ending in the slightest. Seriously, this is not only super unique and fascinating, it's extremely catchy and memorable. The chords are really what seal the deal. Long ramble, so i'll end of a definitive awesome ranking. In fact even better, i'll end it with a 2nd place pick, it was that good. Incredible work!
Nukage - 4 minute Nuke graces our ears, which is becoming a little more of a rarity these days. This is some fine EDM trap, which you know how to extremely well. Also unlike last week, where it feels a little quiet, this one is the opposite, in that it's a bit...distorted. However that's the point of the genre, it's a EDM Dubstep Trap hybrid. I will say, the drops are super on point, which i'm not surprised you always know your Dubstep like drops. The vibe in this one is pretty awesome, and the different live effects here, are a big treat in this track. Yeah definately a huge one from you, loved it a lot, definately wanted to vote on this, but alas i can't. Awesome work!
Wassup Thunder - Epic Intro there, it's not often i hear a frantic intro, that morphs into a string section. It's also a rarity i hear Wassup rock, but i'm all for it! I dig the ostinato here, it really gives me that final battle vibe. The melody is super catchy, and the choir parts really give me that end of the world vibe. The only thing i'm not huge on is the synths, you're trying to insert Eurobeat into a genre that doesn't need Euro sounds, so it can make it a bit...off to me (I would go for purely acoustic sounds here), However you really gave me your A game in regards to melody, it was very strong, that is one thing you are known for, and that's a great melody line. Honestly even with my critiques, i still enjoyed this a lot, and i still think i should give you this one. Well done!
Coloradoweeks - Omg these lyrics exactly explains my process for my entry in OHC for this week, it's such a weird coincidence! I was thinking, what will the people think, but then i thought, no the theme is Leap of Faith, and that means taking a risk. Showcase music nobody dares showcase before lol. In all seriousness though, this is some sick punk rock. That opening fill was fire, i totally feel like i'm in the 2000's. This is like a crossover of Avril Lavigne and Bowling for Soup, it's soo cheesy but the good kind of cheese, like Parmigiano. The way you've sung these lyrics are also kind of amusing, it just totally feels relatable. I've had to replay this like 3 times to properly get my thoughts down, without resorting to smiling or attempted laughter, it's just soo good. The only real critique, is to beef up the drums a bit (Aside from the opening fill, that was somehow really great), so we get that raw punk sound, but as it stands this was super sick, definately giving you this, wish i could vote for it so badly, but alas i can't. Awesome work!
Xanthos - Not heard of this tool, so i expect some interesting music. The whole thing just feels like were underwater, it's quite the chill piece, but with a distinctive rumble, that emulates a mild earthquake. The arp was very cool, it definately brings the melody shine into this piece, especially for something mostly drone based. There seems to be a lot of different polyrhythms going on, this is currently the most experimental Xanthos track to date. The drone is nonstop, and so it can make the track very dissonant, since the note is in D, but the arps are in Eb. I also feel like the arps whilst lovely (I love the rhythm it's playing), could benefit from a beat being added, or some kind of pad chords, to keep it more epic. However i was curious about the software, and i found it's more suitable for live performance, and so with that factor i ended up finding more cool stuff in this. The tempo automations here also make for some sick rhythmical work. Ultimately the drone at the beginning clashes with the rest, and if that was either shortened, or better manipulated to transition better with the rest, i would love it, but as it stands, good job!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - You are just the master of pad chords, your synth choices are on point. Wasn't expecting the water sounds here, although i think it's a laser made into some kind of water sound. The DnB is top notch as always, but the chords really make this special. This one is especially unique, and absolutely fire. Mixing is is perfect too! I don't know what this is, but it's got that balance between DDRKirby and someone new. The drums just never stop changing, there's so many different sounds coming in! I didn't notice the never-ending note, or at least any notes that cut-off. If anything it enhances the piece, makes it even more epic lol. Seriously i love this, i know i say this all the time, but this might be my current favourite from you, it was that good! In fact it was so good i wanted to put you on the top 3, but i had to delegate between you and 3 others and let me tell you it's soo hard. In the end, i didn't vote for you, but if there were a 4th place then this would be it, it's that good. Amazing work!
Dex - Great intro, totally hyped me from the sick Heavy Metal vibes, i totally feel like fighting a final boss for a video game. The guitar melody is fire here, loving the modulation in the chords. It just feels like an oldschool Dex piece, but with a sick melody and synth overtone. The organ solo wasn't too surprising, but definately worth the addition. A track that i don't have a lot to say, if i have to be honest, but when i do have something to say, it's extremely positive stuff. Definately voting worthy, awesome work!
NickC - Man this is Ethereal Pad week, what's going on! Man this is such a nostalgia track, i feel like i'm on the PS1 now. Such a classic combo of Amen Break meets 7th chords. The pads being that classic fade type pad, that always feels like a sampled string of some kind. The melody is awesome, but my god it's a distorted square wave of some kind, which takes me out of it a little. It sounds like a distorted sine wave, yet i think it's actually more of a Square wave. Breakdown in the middle was great, i loved the rest. Seriously despite the instrument choice for the melody, this is insane. I know you make bangers, but my god this one is especially good from you! If you changed the melody into a less harsh instrument, this might be probably a top 10 from you, but even with that critique, i still love this soo much, enough for the 3rd spot, it was that good. Amazing work!
Johnfn - Classic John beat, really digging that groove. Bassline is funky, despite it mostly sticking to the note of the chord, but truthfully that's not what i'm paying attention to, as holy hell that melody line is fire wow. Which i'm not surprised, you were known for the sick melody lines before, and you still are. The chords are also great, even if not super technical. In this case it's all about the melody, which i absolutely love. I just wish it wasn't so short, the track ends as i was getting into it, but even with that, it's just such a great piece, definately worthy of a vote, even though i can't. Awesome work!
DJohn - Two John's! This time with an emotional piano, that feels soft and tinkly. I feel like sleeping, with a nice lovely dream. Lots of amazing chords here, wow. You guys are seriously bringing your A game for the chords, i love it! The background of the kids chatting was also amazing, that little attention to detail just makes it soo worthwhile! This is just one hell of an emotional piece from you, with an amazing progression, and a lovely melody. Not a conventional ending, but that didn't matter, because everything outweighs the rest. In fact it was soo good, i placed it on the top spot, it just...works so well for the theme! Incredible work!
Arcana - Is that a Steel Drum? Liking the synth tones here, although i'll admit some of the chords felt a bit...interesting. However they change when the vocals hit, and i like them. The singing is really great, although perhaps a little loud for the rest of the track. I was anticipating a beat, based on the shaker loops, but that never comes. The actually melody on your voice though is really great! Perfectly in key and time to the piece. The actual composition itself is also really good, there is so much potential here for smoothing out, especially with the intense vocal, that is a bit in your face, but i dig this though a lot, good job!
Top 3 - DJohn, Misael.K, NickC.
Don't ask about my picks, because man it was soo hard. Even after narrowing it to 4, i still had to move it to 3, which took ages. My top 3 could have gone in any order, it was just what i felt at the time.
These entries are incredible, and deserve a place on the list:
Nukage (Amazing EDM, so sad i can't vote for this!)
Coloradoweeks (Amazing punk, with some very humorous lyrics. Another awesome entry i cannot vote for...)
DDRKirby(ISQ) (This one was the worst, i spent ages deciding on which 3 were i to pick, and this one was fought so hard, but alas i can't vote for it. If there were a 4th place, this would immediately be it)
Dex (Definately voting worthy this)
Johnfn (That melody is awesome, so sad i can't vote for this....)
