A few were disqualified in my eyes for being late, so I went for those that created the lurking mood that a swimming ambush predator should.

I also really enjoyed Dex and Atmospherium's tracks; similar to stuff I listen to when I wanna drive a little faster. Cotmm's NIN cover was a welcome surprise, and I do say they nailed it pretty well.

Meister's beatboxing croc is really clever and fun. It just sounds so legitimate!

Misael.k's song felt very uplifting, like a confidence booster track (aptly named).

Nukage made a track that I'd listen to just about any time of day.

@Misael.K - The title makes it sound more menacing than i thought lol. It's suppose to sound cute.

@CotMM - Oh god imagine that haha.

@Nukage - This track kind of works as a lullaby lol. Emotional and calming at the same time. Good night dude (I know were like 6 days after the compo but still...)

@Dex - Maybe a more sophisticated, and honestly a more enjoyable Disney song lol.

@Misael.K - The vocals do actually sound a bit amusing when you isolate it like that. I was actually planning on using the whole Acapella to Crocodile Rock, but it didn't fit for some reason, both in terms of melody and in terms of the speed. This acapella is also what caused my FL Studio to crash twice, so it really was a nightmare lol.

@CotMM - lol, that GIF works so well...

@Misael.K - Tempo's do be like dat doe...

@Atmospherium - I like the honesty in this comment. I agree, it's a very random blend of sounds, that sort of just....works lol.

@Canamla - Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

@Atmospherium - Except the Avalanches do a much better job in the sampling department, and have a more sweeter sound than my blatant uplifting almost stupid approach lol.

@Misael.K - Another POV: The neighbour won't turn down his music, so you sing as loud as you can to get him to stop XD

@Arcana - It's definately an amusing one.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then....

TheVideoGamer - This track ended up getting a few more laugh's than expected, thanks in part to Elton John singing in a very high register. I mean honestly, it's hard not to keep a straight face when you have Elton John going "Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" XD. Crocodile Rock fits the theme lol. The track itself began life as a piano sequence, that sounded pretty emotional, despite the simplicity of it. I made it whilst i was waiting for the theme to come up, which i ended up growing a bit attached to. I didn't want to really do something else, because one i thought this could work in a different context, than the typical "Crocodiles are scary" approach, but also it meant spending more time coming up with a different progression or sound, which takes more time. I felt like being time efficient meant that if it's good, it's good. I built this loop with some sub basslines, some strings, a choir and an assortment of guitar loops both from sample packs and real records (An example being Oasis - Half The World Away). Towards the end, because i was running out of time, i just threw in random samples that worked well, resulting in some Fleetwood Mac in there, some Sheridan Smith music stuff, Some Way Out West, Some Cusco and some Philip Aarberg. Honestly i like what i've done here, even if it's a bit on the more stupid side. Glad you liked it anyways!

Lyra_183 - So you want an honest assessment? I'll do my best. The singing is great, you have a great tone. The problem with acapella is that since is just your voice, i don't have any reference material, so i can't tell what key your singing in, or what tempo etc. The one thing that is obvious, is you are way better than most of us here. You sing so well in tune, compared to me. I could not sustain in key for so long. I can't find any problems personally, but i do feel by adding some instruments to this, we could really build this into something awesome. Still though, great work, and i hope it really goes well in your audition. Good luck and good job!

DarkShadow - LASERS. If it's got no lasers, it's not DarkShadow lol. The chords seem to be more background material compared to the drums. Personally the bass work is excessive in this for my opinion, and this is coming form a Gabberhead. Good job though!

cotmm68030 - No 6 minutes? I guess 5:26 is closer enough lol. I guess we are hearing a cover today, that's different. Really liking the drums and synths in this, really adds that electronic feel. I don't consume loads of NIN so this is more of a blind reaction. The drums are kind of quiet in this, and the guitar based work is pretty in your face. However i do know industrial music gives no crap about dynamics or clean audio, so take this with a grain of salt. It's kind of a mix between semi chill and nerve-racking industrial sounds. It's pretty cool. I do like the pause in the middle, a bit of respite before the vocals come in. You sing this super well, great atmosphere. I'm torn on this, as i don't know the original well enough to make a judgement on your cover. As a track it could do with some mixing, but then i think about the style of music...so. In the end i leant with giving you this one, as i found more to like than dislike. Just barely though, this was mostly down to a taste perspective not a general perspective, if you get me. Well done!

Canamla - Welcome back! I am reminded of Mortal Kombat for the genesis in this. The riff's are kind of hollow but sound cool. I'm digging the moody ambience in the intro. Suddenly we get a synth wave type of piece, with thick melodies and riff's, and a lot of bass. A huge dynamic contrast, that was very sudden, almost scared me a bit lol. I feel personally it's a little incomplete (Which i'm saying on a compo i know lol), the intro maybe is a little too long. I feel mixing touches could be applied here also, might be a bit bass heavy towards the end. It does have potential though, do not be discouraged, with more seasonings this could be awesome. Good job!

Koekepan - Nice EP riff's. Sounds like part Jazz and Funk. Great bassline, sounds like it's imitating an 808. Very laidback bobbling on the water vibe. The EP is a bit dry for my liking, and there is some weird timing that i'm not huge on personally. I do like the piano and choir though, lovely additions, adds a bit of beautiful ambience to the sound. Very expressive, has a bit of emotion in parts. I feel it could do with a bit more space, maybe make the EP less dry. Has a lot of potential in this, and it still sounds lovely though, has potential, good job!

Dex - Ooh that is a lovely bassline. Part synth, part rock. It really makes it gritty EDM. It's not mixed well personally, which i apologised if that sounds blunt, but the rest was pretty fire. The guitar and piano was fire, and the background synthwork i was huge on. It kind of makes it industrial sounding, but yet it's not. Really if you want this to shine, i would just keep the bassline to a normal fender like bass tone, and instead use the dirty synth stuff as a way to compliment the guitar. Maybe try and turn the guitar into a synth maybe? It's sad to be honest, because the rest is pretty amazing. Super vibrant melodies, lovely guitar and piano work. In all honesty, the bassline is the only thing i feel like it needs a bit of touches on. And after re-listening it's definately better than the first listen. I still feel it has potential, but as of now i ended up picking it for the third spot, based on how good the rest is. Awesome work dude!

Meistr - Nice to see a collab, i always love that. The textures on this one is pretty crazy. I dig the bubbling noises, and the chords. It immediately reminds me of Massive Attack. Beatboxing was also crazy. That must have been one of you, it's amazing. The melody was catchy too. The bubbling is too much sadly. I was ok with it for like 1 minute, but then i was like "Ok, this is just drowning out the melodies now, it's getting a bit too much". Still doesn't change how great it is, but it does prohibit me from giving it an awesome work, i'm sorry. This is mostly down to a taste thing, i am aware others will think differently. Good job though!

Atmospherium - That is one dirty bassline. Loving the modulations to the sound. That waveform looks loud lol. Loving the filtered drums, lovely intro. The drop into the metal parts was out of the blue, but honestly, i was totally prepared for it. The guitar work is absolutely fire. Fits the theme super well, amazing riffs. Drum fills are fire also, great drum work. This is raww and dirty, i love it. Ending was a lovely idea. Just amazing. Debated to myself as to whether i put you or Misael.K on the top, and i went with Misael.K at the end. Still though, this was an amazing piece, with lots of lovely gritty guitar work. Amazing work!

Misael.K - Funk Rock ooo. Loving the swing, i'm getting maybe a bit of Sting vibes. It's got some distortion to the whole sound, including the organ and bassline. The melodies are super catchy, and even with it's distortion (Intentional, not accidental), it's just a head-bopping piece. I could totally see lyrics to this. I just love the different sections and chord changes. Absolutely amazing piece, incredible work!

Arcana - Nice chords and bassline. The vocals are sadly way too distorted for my taste. They drown out the rest of the sounds, but still I love how this is more live than your other EDM vocal entries (Ignoring the modular performances). The reverb tone is pretty great. A bit of mixing, and this would really shine. Good job!

Nukage - That is one hell of a quiet waveform. Even by the most simplest of Nukage standards it's practically minute lol. I had to boost this up to hear it. What i's more ironic, is that it even has a build-up and a drop. I sound evil for laughing, but the concept of a quiet waveform for a EDM Dubstep type beat is amusing. And this thing is like not a bit quiet, like this is very quiet. Also when i listened, i noticed you slammed the sidechain extremely hard on this, compared to other Nukage entries, so it feels extremely compressed as a result. Like the kick is in your face compared to the rest. Sad, as the melodies are amazing, it has soo much potential. (This is actually probably the first in ages i've given you a good job rating. Damn, i'm sorry dude.) Probably feels like you started late. Still though, lovely idea, so don't be discouraged. Good job!

Top 3 - Misael.K, Atmospherium, Dex

Due to the short number of entries, i didn't have any that was also deserving to go on the top 3, besides what's already on the top 3. Sorry about that guys.
