This is mobile voting guys. So expect a bit more spelling mistakes here, and a bit of unevenness. Sorry.

@Mister Fox - Unfortunately that’s the whole point. Industrial Ballad.

@Misael.K - loud? That implies we already had a loud distorted track the other week lol. Yeah I know I did my Metal number but that’s not apart of this. Maybe there’s something I’ve missed.

@Treyt - Unless they’re certain exceptions because of absences such as what happened this round, then yes I start on the dot. I have a template ready with all of my go to plugins so I don’t have to worry about loading, or waiting. I just draw the notes in. I usually start with the piano so I can make a melody/chord progression instantly, as a baseline sound for me to continue with. If I like it, I then decided to use it on a synth and work from there. That’s how it typically goes, but sometimes it can be different.

@Misael.K - Your assumption is correct. I don’t hesitate I just do it. I have to go to bed at some point lol. The minute the theme is announced I go for it.

@Arcana - I think we all did lol.

@Mister Fox - Jokes on you. You don’t even participate in this compo lol

@Misael.K - I guess nobody is warming up to the idea of a Industrial Ballad then. I hath failed lol

@Arcana - He can always start if he wants to lol I’d say likely not XD

@Treyt - It’s never too late to not participate. Just say no, it’s that simple haha.

@Arcana - Ok nobody is liking the idea of a Industrial Ballad. I have definitely failed XD.

@Mister Fox - Never heard of that one. Must check it out.

@Arcana - If something goes wrong, just remember it has a spacey calming vibe lol

@Misael.K - Ahh nice you like something about the track. Great lol.

@Treyt - I mean the Industrial Ballad keywords kind of give it away. So nothing is accidental.

@Arcana - My reverb is like another instrument all together lol.

@Treyt - Hey Treyt also likes something about my track. Awesome lol.

@Mister Fox - Why tea? Why not coffee lol.

@Misael.K - Did you make some food and forget to eat it XD. It happens to the next of us, especially when we are busy.

@Treyt - Ok everyone is talking about a cup of tea instead of my Industrial Ballad. I have most definitely failed XD.

@Misael.K - I don’t even have a say in this conversation because I don’t even drink tea lol.

@Treyt - Ok everyone is saying my Industrial Ballad is now a bit too long. I have absolutely most definitely failed XD

Also Merry Late Christmas everyone!

@Misael.K - Yes there is more. And I have Absolutely, most Confidently, most definitely failed XD.

@Treyt - Happy Holidays to you too!

@Atmohpserium - Nope, you are going to be happy and you are going to like it!

@Treyt - Can you tell how much I love Christmas?

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words lol.

Now then…

TheVideoGamer - I guess this track was more of a failure than a success. My plan was to make something emotional like a ballad but in the context of industrial music. So basically a industrial ballad. Noisy and loud but with a vibrant melody. But everyone felt that was too much lol. The drums are distorted 909, and the bulk of the piece comes from a 32 bar piano sequence in F sharp. Every sound goes through some kind of overdrive distortion plugin turning it from calm into powerful. There is 3 layers in the chord progression, and 2 layers in the strings, which is just the chords with no rhythm. The only other thing to mention is the main solo melody throughout, and the Tubular bells that compliment the melody. Even if controversial, I’m glad people took the time to listen. Thanks!

Lyra_183 - Lovely singing! Nice to see a collab. What’s the quiz? Guess the song? Because unfortunately I don’t know. Hello Athena you also sing super well. I couldn’t identify the song sadly. Oh wait, I did get a Jingle Bell rock appearance at the end. Is that one point? Lol. Oh well, good job anyways!

DarkShadow - Ooh this is unusual for DarkShadow. Had the time signature craziness, but it had a lovely sound to it! It’s can’t tell the soundfont, but sounds like it’s SNES styled. The melodies in this one is great. Probably one of your strongest ones for sure, you use the soundfont amazingly well! Awesome work!

cotmm68030 - 6 minutes les gooo! Always down for song deep textural dark ambience, using some of the most unorthodox sounds possible lol. It’s soo creepy but also cold and empty. In some parts it’s also weirdly calming, which it shouldn’t be because of the style but it ends up being. The way the panning rattles in my brain from left to right, the way each sound weaves in and out. It’s pretty fire. The bass is always very powerful too, in how it too also rattles in my brain. The melodies in around 2-3 minutes in were a change of direction and I loved it. It’s proves my weirdly calming point, as this is psychedelic and chill but with reverb drenched on it. Your voice is quiet but perfect for the texture. It’s just a super cool and weird piece that I love. Starts of unsettling, but then gets very chill, and spacey like. Merry Late Christmas dude. I picked this for the 2nd spot. Absolutely loved this, incredible work!

Dex - Plinks! Loud drums! All the high stuff. It’s kind of cinematic to say it’s only a piano and a drum sound. The melody is cool, but sounds a little bit loud for me, and kind of sound font like, which takes away a bit of the acoustic feel for me. The sound font makes it sound like it belongs to a SNES OST, but it’s done in the context of a rock like piece. Maybe I’m being too hard on it who knows. It is a little loud though if I’m being serious. Rest is fire though, that bass tone is amazing. It has a lot of potential for mixing. The idea was fire! Good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Ooh nice melodies in this one! The last chord was unexpected and absolutely amazing. It works in the sea of minor wow. The house grooves in this are fire…oh wait was that it? Oh no we have 2 beats!? I wasn’t done vibing to the first one! I didn’t even get a chance to vibe to the first one! The 2nd one is also awesome with a lot of cool minor 7ths. Awesome melody really fire glitches in the drums. Oh no not again is that one over too? Damn these are way too short! It should have just been one beat I didn’t have any time to vibe to them. Makes it hard to award a good job, because of the lack of substance. However these were too good to ignore, so I’ll give you this. Well done!

Coloradoweeks - Drums! Orchestra! Loud and epic! Another style I’m not used to you producing, but damn it’s pretty epic and has a lovely melody. It’s a tad bit loud personally, and could do with a bit more articulations to make it more realistic, but the idea was awesome. Has a lot of potential, it was pretty great. Good job though!

Meistr - That’s a lovely synth melody. It’s got a kind of a unique rhythm to the sound. It reminds me a bit of Trap but with a bit more IDM influences. The dubstep drop is amazing, but the buildup was a bit faint in this, so the drop is a bit more sudden. Still doesn’t change how awesome this is, the growls are in sync with the melody which i love a lot, it’s pretty awesome. The whole thing is lovely and super epic. Awesome work!

Treyt - More orchestral music! I can totally hear the dynamics in this! It’s extremely Hans Zimmer sounding! It’s like a descendant of him. The bass-lines are lovely. And the melody is super fire! Maybe a little quiet but it works super well. The DnB stuff is actually a little off putting lol. I was expecting full Hans Zimmer orchestral but then you bring out the DnB drums. Still doesn’t bring down the piece though, I still find it lovely with lots of great Dynamics. This is probably why my track failed, because it was one dynamic throughout. I guess Industrial Ballad does not work lol. Despite my little quibble I ended up picking this for the third spot. It was super lovely  Awesome work!

Misael.K - Really liking the guitar like sounds here. It doesn’t sound like a completely real guitar but I love it nonetheless it reminds me of some electro synth. It’s pretty great. There seems to be a melody creeping on, but it’s getting pushed down quite hard by the rest of the instruments. The bass is very dirty I love the way it fits the drums. The chords are pretty lovely actually, it’s really dark and somewhat epic. Love the background pads. I feel it has potential for mixing and the melody is buried. However I do like what I am hearing a lot. Almost gave you this because there was a lot to like, however my critiques unfortunately just prevented this from being Awesome. Certain factors shape how I review a song sorry. Good job though!

Atmospherium - Ooh this is different. It reminds me of Squarepusher for some reason. Both in the drums and the bassline. The big difference it’s way more aggressive, and fits a EDM dubstep vibe. It does remind me of it though. I love the groove in this, it’s so damn catchy. It’s got soo much delicious syncopation it’s just vibe heavy. I love the assortment of bass synths here it’s sooo….catchy. I can’t stop grooving. It was soo good you got the top spot! Incredible work!

Arcana - Nice intro, has a lot of atmosphere. Great chords and nice singing. The drums in this one are a little faint, but not completely silent. I love the synths in this, adds a nice electronic flair to the whole thing. Some parts are a little dissonant, but it’s not frequent. It has a lot of potential. It was lovely. Good job!

Top 3 - Atmospherium, cotmm68030, Treyt.

My top 3 wasn’t based on total theme accuracy because of the technical problems in this round.

These 2 also deserve a spot on the list:

DarkShadow (This one was your best to date! It should have been on the list!)
