@Misael.K - It's the worlds most aggressive night's sleep haha

@MCMiag - Crazy but extremely simple.

@Suzums - It's one very thicccc choir isn't it?

@Xanthos - Yeah but after a while it becomes a bit too repetitive lol.

@Coloradoweeks - Except Ghibli has more chords, and harmony choices lol. I don't think they would survive on purely one chord haha.

@Elbobbo - Somehow the notes feel soo wrong, but yet feels soo right lol.

@Arcana - Really? Because i can only think of me who would go this far within a musical piece.

@Suzums - Yep lol. Needed it, otherwise it becomes super repetitive.....

@Arcana - To be honest i do go overboard with the reverb XD

@Misael.K - Drummmmmmmmssss

@MCMiag - Phil Collins? I'm more of a Neil Peart kind of guy lol.

@Arcana - Thanks, it would be just a single loop without it lol.

@Suzums - I don't know, but i do remember a video of i believe Intel making a machine recreation of Pipe Dream, the infamous video. It was an actual video of a live machine, doing everything the video does, but in real life. Like this was an actual demo. Not that this answers you're question, but it does give an idea of something similar.

@NickC - To be fair, Aphex Twin does say some of the most ridiculous things, so take it with a grain of salt. He is not the most reliable lol.

@Suzums - There was also The Monkey Drummer set to Aphex Twin's Mt Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount. But that one was an Animated CGI experience, so i guess it doesn't count.

@Xanthos - Nah i'll let Wintergatan know about Suzums concept. Maybe it could be a reality lol.

@MCMiag - I better check this one out lol.

@Coloradoweeks - XD

@Suzums - Cheep cheep!

@Elbobbo - It is a solo after all haha...

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - This track is literally what the title says. One chord. I didn't add anything else, no other notes, it's literally one chord. Everything else is melody as well as chord effects. Despite all that, it's literally still one chord, as we don't move away from the F# root. The bulk of the interest comes from the solo's that are present throughout in varying degrees. The Solo's are long and varied with lots of long and short notes throughout. The 2nd solo is made on a Imitation Saxophone synth sound. There is also an intro melody that comes in at the end to make it full circle, which sounds like it's emulating a guitar. There is a choir that fades in and out, but remains full circle in the drum solo part. The drums as well as the whole feel is kept in a 3/4 time signature. The middle part contains the drum solo, which is where things get interesting, prevented intense repetition. All in all it was a fun idea, and i hope if i do it again, i do it better. Thanks guys!

Lyra_183 - Great singing as always! I mean if you wrap up in a blanket, to shelter from the cold, then i don't see why not lol, it's good enough for the theme. There's a lot of rattling on your desk, it sounds like it's not deliberate. Oh well, it still sounds great, good job!

cotmm68030 - Deep sounds, as you always do lol. Really liking the fake wind sounds here, formed out of saw synths, and i love the soft and very subtle percussion loop in the mix. It doesn't do much, but it does add a nice soft layer to keep things moving. Filtering on the synths really made it dynamic, i love it. It's almost suitable for a War of the Worlds kind of scenario, where there is explosions galore and people are trying to flee. Theme accurate? Sadly no, but as a piece, it's super enjoyable to listen to. Awesome work!

DarkShadow - I think i'm starting to notice a pattern here lol. Loud drums, dissonant saw synths, and bass overload. Sorry dude, good job!

elbbobo_music - Oof trance heaven. This is quite the pounding trance piece. Love the drums and the arp work here. Makes it rain with trance synths. The dynamics and fade ins were quite powerful, really hypes me up for dancing. The arps in the second half are actually kind of pretty, shame you don't use them as much as you should. I mean sure maybe it's not the cleanest mix, but damn it's a lot of fun, and the idea was actually pretty awesome. Well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Nothing will stop me with experimental lol. I like how you call it Experimental, yet i call it simple Downtempo haha. Your take on experimental is normal for me. The vocal contributions here are beautiful. This is a very pretty almost dreamy piece. The vocals have some lovely dynamics on them. Sometimes it's a background element, other times it's a bright pad chord almost. Not a negative, i love it, extremely pretty. I mean i've said everything that's needed to be said, amazing melodies. So amazing it was the number one spot, incredible work!

Treyt - Moar trance synths! This time with a square lead. I'm loving the drive in the melody, so dynamic and has a lot of cool slide notes. The bass work in this is also super tight. The melody is soooo powerful, lots of cool notes in this, much better than mine. The drums are maybe a little quiet, could do with a bit more louder beats, however that's more of a nitpick, as i loved the synth work and the melody especially, that was one powerful melody. Well done!

Barley - Interesting Jazzy guitar chords in this one. Very sweet tones. The drums in this are sadly getting pushed by the guitar, however i do take a liking to the chords in this. Vocals are also very quiet, the guitar is just front and centre. I still liked the sounds a lot, i had a ton of fun with this, good job!

Dex - Cute piano work. Reminds me of the Bernstein Bears for some reason. The saxophone melody makes it more uplifting than sexy lol. The drum work is also very great, has a bit of Jazzy syncopation to the sound. Surprised at this actually, it sounds less like a Dex track and more like a Misael.K track. The melodies were pretty lovely, well done!

Handknit - That is one quiet waveform. The chords are cool, sounds like a spaceship. It's a bit on the unusual side, the drums are kind of lost in this, and the chords are a bit hollow for my taste. The melody is pretty nice, great tone. Maybe a bit too experimental for me (What? Me? Saying it's experimental? Say it ain't so!) who knows, but i had fun with it nonetheless, good job!

Meistr - Even if only 59 seconds you still managed to submit a piece, so props to you. Now this to me sounds like music for a commercial, because the changes happen so fast, and you have a lot of effects fading in and out. This is totally a sick banger for the club, this is lovely psytrance, although not developed for 59 seconds. If i'm gonna hear Psytrance at least go for 3 minutes, however i know you didn't have a lot of time so all is forgiven, and it did sound lovely. Good job!

mcmiagblackmanisgod - Hilarious, but very short and not theme fitting. Good job!

Animatrix1490 - Some super unique chords here, and a kind of very nicely developed melody. It's like it belongs to some Phantasy Star game but with more of a Bossa Nova feel and a calmer edge. The chords are a bit too weird for me, a bit more on the 12 tone scale for my liking. It has potential though, good job!

NickC - Very beautiful stuff. This is totally like round 734 and 724. Chill NickC is the best NickC. Super atmospheric with a lot of pretty chords. The chord changes were super magical, not expected but at the same time it totally works. Drums and bassline adds a lot of movement, it's just a super relaxing piece. Honestly this is another one of your fine works! I put this on the third spot, incredible work!

Coloradoweeks - Cool synth chords. Lots of cool volume changes in this. Sounds like everything was played on a Keyboard, than drawn in. The drums are a little on the quiet side, but not too buried. The chords are really nice in this. If i have to be honest, the intro is a little too long for my liking. The vocals are awesome as always, totally feel like they could be in the track longer. Yeah even with my nit-picks it was still a lovely piece, and it wasn't enough to remove it from the Awesome section, well done!

Xanthos - You started late then belted a 6 minute piece? Nah i don't believe you lol. Parts of this have to be pre-recorded. I would never make this in such short notice. The chords are amazingly funky, and the guitar in this screams 70's Bee Gees. Like there's no denying it's a Bee Gees like sound. Lots of drum changes in this, whilst the chords power through. For a second i'd thought there was a problem with my computer, but no it the glitches in the track XD. That is one hell of a funky bassline. The developments in this one are pretty crazy, i still can't believe this was made in such a short time, it sounds almost professional. I don't think they're loops. Amazing stuff nonetheless, would have soo loved this to be on the list, awesome work!

JH Sounds - Ahh a White Stripes song that isn't Seven Nation Army lol. I mean granted this is popular too, but this is a much better song in my opinion. It's a bit weird seeing this in a electronic style, i'm not used to it for this song haha. This is a pretty great cover, loved your take on it, well done!

Misael.K - Cool synths, really liking the PS1 styled synths here. The chords remind me of a slowed down version of Sochi Terada. The beats here are pretty strong, and the whole arrangement feels very disco inspired. It's like Synthwave Disco almost. The melody is also super strong here, kind of atmospheric and high energy at the same time. I'm afraid there is mixing touches needed here. It's not 100 percent polished (Which to be fair it's true of any entry, especially mine). But it's not jarring at all, it's just touches. Whole idea was awesome, the solo melody was lovely, and the grooves were great. Well done!

obScene - More quiet waveforms lol. I love the sounds here, very ethereal maybe psychedelic. It's very spacious, like you are ready for sleeping. Super beautiful and calming. It is of the simple variety, in it relies more on looped material, but nonetheless it's super pretty, and works amazingly well. Abrupt ending, but awesome work! So awesome i chose it on the 2nd spot, incredible work!

Arcana - I like these chords a lot. Some of the spicy notes are interesting, but for the most part it's kind of beautiful. I love how you've managed to try and make a proper pop song, instead of a live performance. I do like the drums here, it has a bit of an Orchestra style to the piece, without using Orchestral instruments. There is a bit of spicy notes i don't gel with, and the track does sound a little incomplete, with the vocals taking up a lot of room. However i did like what i heard, so good job!

Top 3 - DDRKirby(ISQ), obScene, NickC.

Organising the top 3 was insanely difficult, all 3 entries were fantastic. So these could have gone in any order.

These entries also deserve a spot on the list, they were sooo good:

cotmm68030

Dex

Xanthos (I still can't believe you made this in under 40 minutes. Damn.)

Misael.K (Even with all of my points being made, i still think this deserves to be on the list.)
