I don't normally do write ups but if anyone's ever wanted more feedback on an OHC or external project, I'm pretty open to being asked.

@Misael.K - You don't know what's about to come my friend lol.

@JH Sounds - All beats, none of the boring stuff XD

@MCMiag - I mean, there wasn't any other way lol. It had to be used....

@JH Sounds - lol

@Arcana - It's more weird than loopy. Like some of the stuff you're about to hear makes you go crazy....

@MCMiag - Thanks :)

@JH Sounds + Coloradoweeks - My pork chop game is on point XD

@Misael.K - Oh damn, thanks for the heads up lol. I didn't think that would be a thing....

@MCMiag - Did you really make a entry in 2 minutes woooah. I'm having a hard time believing that especially since you make 1 minute of material...

@Suzums - *Insert sheep meme here*

@Misael.K - All the ba's, none of the du's lol.

@NickC - So does that mean the last entry will be panned hard left? Haha...

@MCMiag - You forgot the Y lol.

@Coloradoweeks - Everything is listed on a Google Docs shared in Discord. Samples and stuff are in there.

@Misael.K - I don't know why they didn't call it Gravelman or Waterman or Oilman lol.

@Suzums - It's like another one of my games, inadvertently XD

@Starla - Boooooooooooooooooooooooh lol.

@Arcana - Boo Boo Be Doop - Betty Boop

@JH Sounds - Cobra-ah Bah Bah Bah (Get it? lol)

@Misael.K - It kind of is actually lol. Or you could call this a mashup, who knows?

@Suzums - Yes that is Adam Neely.

@InvisibleObserver - Horses?

@Misael.K - Now you know lol.

@MCMiag - Thanks lol.

@Coloradoweeks - COLORADO!!!!

@MCMiag - I have a Google Doc file of samples if you're interested lol.

@Misael.K - Please Stand Up, Please Stand Up.....

@MCMiag - It was actually a soundtrack to a...oh nevermind it's a bonus track on Hard Knock Life, my bad.

@Arcana - Is that a good thing or a bad thing XD

@Misael.K - Honk...

@Arcana - It can be interpreted as a live performance. However sadly it's not.

@MCMiag - SAME! We can related lol.

@Coloradoweeks - Rules are rules :'(

@elbobbo - Thanks for the love :)

@MCMiag - I'd be looking forward to hearing it!

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words! Whenever i provide you with a lot of strange/weird material, i end up with a lot to reply to lol.

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - Everything in regards to the samples for the track is written in Discord under a Google Docs file. It also has a screenshot of one of the project files for this piece. So believe it or not, this is not a single project file, but rather small projects of different beats, each around the concept of sampling. I initially wanted to try vapourwave, but it would involve slowing down records, which is a lazy way of producing in my opinion. I'd like to utilize as much OHC time as i can. So i settled on a beat-tape, which in reality turned into a DJ set kind of thing, with an abundance of vocal samples and sound sources. It's not the most coherent in hindsight, but it was something different from me. Oh well, glad you liked it anyways!

Lyra_183 - Ooh a long one, 3 minutes. I like the intro, it's very creative. This is got some cool unique ideas. Your acapellas are like completed songs, waiting to be turned into beats. Like it's great on it's own, but with a beat, it's an already completed product. Good job!

Nukage - Always with the classic vocals. Perfectly robotic, very fitting to the intense electronica. Loving effects on the beats in this. Sometimes autotune just works, even if i don't like it all the time. Drop was satisfying. Perfectly mixed. Ending gives the impression of a faulty render. It just cuts out mid song. Well done though!

DarkShadow - Wait that waveform isn't clipping. Have....you...changed? Like it's actually balanced. These chords are very cool too. The melodies don't seem as present here (Baring in mind it's only like 40 seconds here), so any chance of a chord progression gets immediately switched to bass and beats. Not my favourite, but definately a ton of fun. Good job!

Meistr - LYRICS? Wow i didn't know you sing!? This sounds like Snoop Dogg/Dr. Dre kind of vibe. Late 90's early 2000's RnB/Hip-Hop. There isn't a bassline here, which i feel is what would complete the track, as well as a slightly more realistic guitar part. I don't want to give it a Good Job, as the vocals were amazing, very great lyrics and singing. However the beat to me feels sadly incomplete, and i'm afraid that makes it no further than Good Job. Sorry dude!

elbobbo_music - This is some interesting right ear action. It's like your first time using stereo by the looks of it. I found it very interesting, but my right ear got more of a treat than the left. Misael.K said that the first entry had right panning, but i don't see it. This entry has a lot of right panning, mixed with some faint lefts, so maybe he means this? I do agree it's a bit too hard panned right for me. However the melodies were pretty cute, i do dig the idea. Good job!

Dex - And now this is panned left lol. Well actually it's only for the intro. The rest is perfectly balanced. The guitar work is great as always, and the melodies were catchy. The bassline here is a bit quiet, i feel there is something lacking in the bass area. That would complete the heavy rock vibes for sure. Despite that, it's lovely melodies, awesome guitar work, well done!

obScene - Emotional chords, lovely and kind of sad. Very pretty. Loving the strings and piano as always, you always make amazing cinematic music. So pretty, lovely carefree nature. Definately emotional, and uplifting. Like it's just....so incredible man! Outstanding work!

JH Sounds - Always down for some Macca lol. I mean we have Wings as a band name haha. If that's not more theme accurate, then what is? That guitar is quite realistic...wow. Did you not use GarageBand? This seems like a live performance, with one hell of a powerful lyrical performance. This is actually a pretty awesome cover. Like i wasn't expecting this to sound so good!! I love this a lot, well done!

Handknit - This is a 2 minute entry, so you got some good use of the time in. Starts of kind of happy, but then you introduce some interesting melodies at the 10 second mark, that make it more weird, maybe dissonant. I sense a live performance in this one, as the timing issues are rife (Sadly it's a personal opinion). The drums are super loud in this, in comparison to the rest. It makes it closer to a drum solo than a melodic piece. Still though, i did have a lot of fun with this, good job!

NickC - Now these are some sweet pads. Digging the filtering on them. Very atmospheric, the chord changes are pretty great. Totally get an early 90's jungle feel from this, even if the kit is more of an Acoustic one. The way the chords flow, the sound is just magical. It's like an interlude or something, as there doesn't seem to much bass in this, and it has more of a intro vibe, than a middle album vibe. The chords are outrageously good. The pads are amazing too, it makes it soo magical woooow. Acid bass was very impactful, and really makes it almost like an electronic paradise. Personally this part is where the drums sadly get a bit buried, the bass should be toned down a tad personally, and the drums pushed up. However the chords and the sound design, the way it flows. It immediately trumps any critiques i have of this, it's beautiful. Incredible work!

mcmiagblackmanisgod - To get this in, in 2 minutes....is woooow. I couldn't even load up a VST in that level of time. There's no way this is 2 minutes, the sample choice is pretty great. Feels like more could be done, so it is a Good Job, however to say you claim it's a 2 minute entry, i'm super impressed. Good job!

Ethansight - I always expect that classic harmony from you. It's just a signature use of chords that only i know comes from....well you. The piano is beautiful, and the reverb is very pretty. It's very theme fitting as well. I feel like if you gave me this as a sample, i'd flip it into a fire beat. It feels like it needs bassline and a beat. Maybe if you give me 30 minutes, i might do something with it lol, but as of now, awesome work!

Coloradoweeks - LinnDrum represent! Got that 80's synthwave vibe down. This is what i shoulda done, but i got side-tracked haha. The vocals are beautifully sung as always, and the 80's synths are amazing. It's just....catchy, i don't know what to say. Like i never really find anything to critique, you just do it....amazingly well. I so wanted to put this one the list, it was amazing. Awesome work!

DJohn - I've noticed a fair few 1 minuters this compo. So it's kind of cool to hear a 4 minute piece. As i say with all of your pieces (Well most), this is a complete record. You have the guitar nailed, the vocals are incredible as always, and the groove is fire. It does need mixing, all things considered, but man it's just a perfectly complete song, ready to be mixed and shipped off. Fits the theme too, Incredible work! Man you guys are soo good, i need to keep up with you all!

Arcana - Modular let's gooo. The waveform is interesting. We have random array of peaks that come in and out. The vocals are unfortunately very loud. I think you have the gain turned up very high, or there is clipping in the mic. The track is great on it's own, but the vocals are sadly painful to listen because of the loudness. Sorry, but good job!

Starla - Ooh background vocals. The vocals are super dreamy in this, it's as usual amazing. I notice an awesome vocal when i hear it. Especially since i don't sing. The bass is substituted for a deep pad, which should be ok, but it does bring out a little of the hollowness of the piece, but it wasn't too much of a bad experience. It is a quite waveform, however even with that being said, there's far too much awesome stuff here, that trumps the negatives. Well done!

Misael.K - That last chord before the repeat is....the chef's kiss. It really makes it magical. These chords are amazing, it's strays way too far from the standard harmony of C F G into some great weird territories. It's only a minute, so it's way too short, however what i heard was very amusing, ton of fun, and has a lovely bittersweet like sound to it. Well done!

InvisibleObserver - Lots of cool glitches here, sounds like a computer malfunctioning. Digging these chords, very atmospheric in parts. Very stutter heavy, reminds me of Mr. Bill but not as fast. The drums are the star here, so much so the melodies are pushed to the side. I feel for this idea to work and connect to me, you need to increase the melodies/pads/synths to a higher volume, so the drums are always in your face, and it blends a bit more with the rest. Still a ton of fun though, great idea, good job!

Top 3 - obScene, DJohn, NickC.

Note: The placement for NickC and DJohn could have changed on any day. Both were equally amazing. It's what i was feeling at the time.
