cotmm68030 sneaked in, despite the execution being somewhat aimless because the sound design managed to present alienation well within the theme.

@DJohn - G G G GGG GG G GG
@JH Sounds - One of these day's, i'll have a song named after my consistent gaining of attention because of a measly second over a 6 minute piece lol.
@Ethansight - Honestly the door opening wasn't meant to be a spaceship lol, i just googled a door SFX that sounded different, than a normal door opening, and this is where it lead me to. So alien spaceship, i'll go with that.
@bjk - Carpenter? You mean the song playing in the back? That's sadly not the Carpenters lol.
@Ethansight - What the hell is a Secret Marsh Club lol.
@Ethansight - Your in the middle of nowhere, you've never been here, you don't know the people. It is very scary, and yes they probably don't like you lol.
@bjk - Thanks, it's not often i make these story driven soundscapes like this one.
@Suzums - I can list the birds i sampled if you want. I just typed in weird bird sounds, and this is what i got haha:
So 3 bird sounds are used in this piece:
- Capuchinbird
- Laughing Kookaburra
- Willow Grouse
All of these i have not heard off, i just listed them from the video's description.
@DJohn - Even if it's the correct spelling, it's unfortunately not the right bird.
Arcana - There's a lot of mystical things that happen, that only you the listener, can identify....oooo. You are not alone. There might even be someone following your footsteps as we speak oooo.
@Coloradoweeks - What if....CotMM was in my dream.....dun dun dunnnnn!!!
@bjk - Congratulations you recognised the artist!
@DJohn - lol
@Arcana - The guy had an unfortunate accident......oooo.
@DJohn - Still adamant on the Kookaburra eh? Because sadly it's still the wrong bird lol.
@Ethansight - Just barely. The dude's in a fair bit of pain now. He has to press on to survive.
@JH Sounds - It's all about the.....A S T H E T I C....
@bjk - Give him chance lol, he's just had a nasty fall.
@DJohn - You never know, i might do a 10 minute version of this ;).
@Arcana - If the dude goes any faster, he might attract unwanted attention...oooo.
@Ethansight - It's the monsters i'd be worried about more....
@bjk - How sweet of you. Be sure to solidify that in the voting ;)
@Ethansight - Thank you for your kindness :)
@DJohn - Wow you really want the sad ending don't you lol. In all seriousness, the ending was unfinished, because i ran out of time. By 3:25 i basically had to wrap up and get it uploaded, before i turned in for the night.
@Coloradoweeks - That's actually more of a compliment than i expected it to be, because this is very tame compared to some of the real horror stuff i've listened to.
@NickC - Sure was. I'd love to expand this one day, providing there isn't a 6 minute rule in place. If i do, expect it to be on my artist pages.
@Everyone -Thanks for the kind words! Lots to reply this week!
Now then...
TheVideoGamer - I could talk about what i've done for my track, however i feel you guys kind of need to know more about the story of the track, than the process in order to understand my track better. So we arrive in a new place, by the signalling of the doors opening, which is just a spaceship door. It's really going from room to the outdoors, or anything of that sort. Imagination is key. The guy is confused, he is lost and doesn't know where he is. It's all foreign and scary, especially with all the weird spooky noises that are happening. As he explores through the sound of the footsteps, we hear water dripping, doors creaking, loud bands that scare the crap out of you and the guy, which mostly come from afar. As you progress music comes through the loudspeakers, as kind of background music, yet it gets cut short when the speaker short circuits and the thing comes crashing down, prompting you to freak out, and ending the music. Notice you are stopping and starting, based on what you see, and any sudden events that happen, because you are scared and lonely. After a couple minutes in we get a lot of scary moments that really alert your attention. A monster growl sends your guy running in a frenzy, your confusion as to why the music has resumed, when the speakers are broken (Which by the way is Frank Sinatra) makes thigs very strange, and a loud female scream, causes you to run really fast, not long before you fall into a hole, that you didn't see requiring you to grab onto some twigs to get yourself out of. Ouch! It's also at this point, the music suddenly stops for no reason, adding to the strangeness of the place. In the ending, we hear one final explosion sound of a gunshot, scaring you and a nice little creepy voice explaining what is essentially the whole piece. You are not alone. Thanks to CotMM for the sample dude! This one is a very long description, but it helps understand the story/idea. Glad you liked it anyways!
Lyra_183 - Nice quotation of the name of the theme in your singing lol. I'd watch your levels, they're a bit on the loud side. Singing was lovely though, very clean. Good job!
cotmm68030 - This is definately the theme for you. Really lovely deep ambience, with a lot of unerving SFX. It definately fits the strange landscape, probably way better than i did (I mean you threw in a sample of a homemade digeridoo, what!?) Very theme accurate, and extremely lovely stuff, so much so i ended up giving you the top spot, because it was just soo good. Incredible work!
Koekepan - Minimalist Koekepan strikes again. I would love to hear some thick 808 drum patterns on this, than a simple hi-hat riff, but hey ho, taste is personal. The pad sounds are very cool, almost feels like 80's styled synth swells. Now it's not as minimal as some your other works, (Not that it was a bad thing) however i still feel it is lacking a bit, more could be added, it feels...empty, which is funny from a theme sense, but...i don't know it just feels a little too minimal for my taste. Good job though!
Souperion - So this is definately the definition of multi-cultural lol. Really digging the melodies here a lot, very nice mix of orchestral music, and traditional instrumentation. Really loving the melodies here, really nice cinematic feel. The only minor critique i would have, would to space the instruments out, it feels clustered a little. However i consider this a minor nit-pick, because the melodies were very clear, and very enjoyable. All in all, well done!
Nukage - Ok i was not expecting this to go in this direction, but here we are. This is just an seriously amazing vibe. That amen is really insane, this is honestly one of my favourites from you, the way the it punches in the mix, it's just amazing, the vocal chops compliment the mix nicely too. Awesome work!
DarkShadow - We getting some kind of reggae influence now? I can hear it in the chords lol. This is quite the IDM-ish tune. Has elements of breakcore. The day you make ambient, will be quite the special occasion lol. No but seriously this is good, but personally not my favourite from you, however i did enjoy it. Good job!
Barley - The drums are literally getting pounded by the guitars lol. If i didn't have good ears, i wouldn't even hear them lol. The guitar tone is very good in this one, and the vocals were very powerful, i must say. The drums are struggling in this one lol. Nice idea, could do with a lil' polish. Good job though!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to. It's not my idea of a strange land, but it was seriously well produced, and has a lot of extremely beautiful melodic ideas. Well done!
Coloradoweeks - Ableton April eh? As an FL User, i've never really heard of this lol. This is lovely stuff, very nice and hopeful, especially for a theme about something slightly weird/scary haha. No but your singing is lovely, the grooves were great, It's just really good, well done!
Dex - That is one tight bassline. Very much feels like it has a hint of industrial in the background sound effects, mixed in with the tight rock grooves. I do feel the drums are a little too hot for something of this calibur, i'd tone down the level's a tad bit too, the idea is pretty awesome, but i can hear bit of fuzz in the mix. The idea is really good, so i had to think about this for a fair bit, and in the end i'm sorry, but good job!
Ethansight - WAIT YOU MADE THIS!? I didn't even know this was you! It sounds different from Ethansight that i'm used to. I actually thought i was listening to Dex or something! I didn't know it was you, until i checked. It sounds incredible, but completely unfitting to the theme. The mix is perfect, and the melodies were extremely catchy, but alas it's not strange enough for me. I was dying to put this on the top 3, but i can't. Awesome work!
NickC - Sweet harp work here, really feels like were in some temple or shrine, definately a strange place. Totally not a familiar place. Loving the unnerving ambience, lots of cool chord changes and melody ideas. Love the second half, really play's with the timing of the notes. The more i listen, the more awesome it gets, totally fitting to the theme, and such cool melody ideas. Just lovely stuff, Awesome work!
obScene - Very dark mallet stuff going on here, definately fits that obScene spirit, certainly not a calming experience going on here. The drums are super cool, it's like a mix of industrial sounds, and chiptune like bitcrush. It's got a lot of that cinematic edge of your pieces, but yet with a heavy distorted overtone to the whole thing. I end up liking the drums a lot more than i should, this is just really great stuff, the melodies were extremely fire, amazing melodies. Awesome work!
Arcana - I've heard orchestrations from you, but this to me is the first fully orchestral piece you've done. So no mixing with drums or synths, just a pure classical edge (Ok my bad, i forgot the dance drums in the second half lol). The idea is actually pretty lovely, but unfortunately i'm mixed on the electronic beats. It's almost like you are struggling to orchestrate the instruments, so you rely on EDM beats to keep the intensity. In all honesty, i would either make it pure orchestral, or blend the EDM aspect more, because i have this weird balance, where i can't tell what your trying to do. The mix is very good though, perfect dynamics (Even for a quiet waveform). Thought about this for a while, and unfortunately the weird EDM/Classical mix stuck out for me, i'm sorry. Still enjoyed it though, good job!
DJohn - "Cause i'm an Englishman.....in New York". Always recognise me a bit of Sting lol. I can't say much on this, your a fantastic singer as always, and it's just a lovely cover. Well done!
JH Sounds - Another cover, but this time of an artist i've not heard of. I don't usually listen to hip-hop, so forgive me. This is very nice, has all of the JH Sound production ideas, and lovely singing. Nothing bad to say, well done!
InvisibleObserver - Late entry les goo. 4 minutes is quite the length for you, no wonders you were late lol. Sick sound design as usual, you really go ham on the synth stuff, to the point where if it wasn't for the drums, it'd be closer to a modular synth experiment, than a dubstep/house piece. The drums in this one, are kind of scarcely used in all honesty. When the drums do come it's pretty awesome, the mix is pretty awesome in this one, however the drums don't last long, so we end up with more ambient parts. What i'm trying to say is, either remove the drums or add more, we don't seem get a lot of developments with the drums. A snare and or clap could also add some grooviness to the beats. The sound design still won me over, so all is not lost. Well done!
Top 3 - cotmm68030, obScene, NickC.
Note: The top 3 could have gone in any order, they were all soo good. This is what i was feeling at the time of voting.

1 TheVideoGamer - An absolutely terrifying adventure
2 JH Sounds - Hadn't heard this one either. Super punchy mix, the beat is solid and your voice is crisp and forward

4 DDR - Relaxed stroll through the strange land, the bell is my favorite
cotmm - I certainly feel like a stranger here
Koekepan - The plucky place
Souperion - Very ethnic, lots of variety
nukage - Starts off with watery vox, builds into a killer break with a deep sub
Barley - Maybe its an effect you always go for, but the drums seem excruciatingly quiet
coloradoweeks - Solid change tune
NickC - Mystical place with a lovely harp
obScene - Interesting contrast with the solemn piano and crushed beat
Arcana - Liked the orchestral intro, and then the big beat switchup!
DJohn - Never heard the original if this was a cover, very classy piano with your wonderful vox
