The sound design in InvisibleObserver's work won me over.

That said, DJohn's interpretation of the theme went along with a very good delivery.

Souperion nailed the theme, I just didn't quite like the room feel of the music as done.

When I first saw the theme I didn't have any sound/themes in mind but these entries really nailed it! Great work!

Too many great entries this week! Choosing only three is impossible.

Honestly I'd like to vote for many more, and my top three are a bit arbitrary (aren't they always?). Congrats to everyone!

I also wanted to vote for Dex, Christopian, and DDRKirby(ISQ).

ThaTaskmasta:

@obScene - Yes there is a volume warning lol. It's not often you hear industrial just pop in like that.

@Misael.K - Lo-Fi Chill Beats to Study To :P

@Nukage - Yeah because you don't compromise on the master XD The good thing is, we actually want that from you, to just go....insaneeeeeeee.

@Misael.K - That's the gif for when things are about to go loud lol.

@Arcana - In association with TVG Industries.

TheVideoGamer:

@Souperion - I guess you're not familiar with my Taskmasta alias (To account for lost time). How about a wave for my second profile? He says hi lol. ;)

@Arcana - Just about everything is a manipulated sample of some sorts.

@Misael.K - The sidechain is 100 percent deliberate. It's makes it sounds extremely waving.

@Arcana - It's a fast experimental piece with ambient sounds. The whole concept is that it's like a distorted blur, where the samples are almost glitching out. It's meant to be this static kind of syncopated rhythmical piece, using extreme sidechain methods. If i could best describe it, it sounds like a faulty TV or something.

@JH Sounds - Lol there is. I have no shame to admit it, because the sidechain's goal was intend to be as intense as possible. Sometimes what you hear, might not be what i've actually done. That's the beauty of interpretation.

@Misael.K - It sounds like it's representing a sine-wave of some sorts, in terms of volume. I don't know what it's actually doing, but i do like the effect.

@Arcana - I can't remember if i've sent anything else to the sidechain. I think it's just the sidechain and nothing else. I mean there is FX, but they're apart of the mixer track, not the actually side-chain track.

@Souperion - To be fair, i don't think a long version of this would help lol (Even if 4 minutes is long). So i'm glad it broke hehe....

@Misael.K - A perfect end to a wavy day lol.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words to both of my submissions!

Now then....

ThaTaskmasta - I'd figured i start with this, since this was quite honestly my original idea. I actually had the idea to orchestral music, but then i remembered that i don't have the tools to do so, and after previewing some arrow SFX i had a cool idea i wanted to try, however i could only get a minute out, without going repetitive, so it was ultimately scrapped. Turns out CotMM was looking for this kind of music, which i'm not joking, was such a weird coincidence. Now believe it or not, that underlying SFX comprises of a someone crafting a pair of shoes and a Arrow being fired. It's a cartoon like Sound Effect of an arrow being fired too, so it's even more weird and wonderful. The rest comprises of distorted drum stuff, formed into breakbeats, and an a assortment of toms and 808 styled drums, all fully distorted. It was something fun to kick the party with.

TheVideoGamer - This track is basically a range of random samples chosen, all connected to a simple Tr-808 kick, or at least something similar, compressed to sound quite thick. I then created another channel to sidechain it, so every sound, with certain exceptions would pass through the sidechain. I deliberately set it, so it would be quite a hard cut, almost like something was faulty. The whole track passes through what is really a sine-wave kind of curve, but maybe more of a hard cut. Everything is just about passed through the sidechain. Were talking pad chords, samples of records, that form melodies (Such as folk pieces, ambient stuff, pop records etc.) The only thing that doesn't make it through, is the drums and one or two of the voice samples. I like the way it flows, i should do this again sometime, but with a different idea, it was fun. Hope you like it too!

Misael.K - Ooh some kind of hopeful adventurous chords. Nice of you to at least come in, with a quick entry even if you can't be here. The piano does need a bit of mixing, and finesse, but i liked it. Good job!

Lyra_183 - What would you consider your normal style? Because this sounds like a Lyra entry to me. The mic really makes a difference, this was really nice. Would love to see you incorporate instruments to this. Good job!

Koekepan - Sick acid vibes, is this gonna be Koekepan techno? The pad chords are pretty cool, super deep really like the placement. Ok so it's not techno, but the beat is seriously fire, perfect mix of something like 2-Step Garage and IDM, with maybe even a hint of Hi-Hop. The track as an idea seems to be a bit confusing for me, and it mainly comes down to the conflict of sounds. You have electronica beats and an acid bass, so i think this is an electro tune, but then you hit me with the pads, which feel quiet and suited to ambient music, yet this isn't ambient music. For me, i would make the pads more vibrant, and louder, or just build a track around the pads instead. Still enjoyable though, good job!

Nukage - Oooh them reverse samples are FIRE. I love it when you incorporate unique sounds to your productions. Sounds that i can't identify, but yet i love nonetheless. The build-up was insanely good. Like i knew it was coming, but i didn't know when.....and then BAM, out of nowhere it hits, in a awesome way. This track is DIRTY. The DnB production values are seriously strong in this one, well done!

Souperion - Interesting for you to go all Scottish on us, i like the idea. This doesn't feel like Highlands music personally, for me this is fitting closer to Irish Celtic music, that Scottish Bagpipe music. It could also work for a chase sequence in a historical action movie or something. Personally this needs a bit of polish, the reverb in the drums made it a tad bit muddy, and the ending was a little abrupt. Honestly i thought about this, and while it does need polish, i was finding a lot more to like than dislike, especially in re-listening. Honestly in the end, i've decided to give you it, because it was really good. Well done!

DarkShadow - Time Signature weirdness strikes again. This one, the drums are a little quiet, and the bassline is pretty in your face. Usually it's the drums in this one, but i'm finding the bassline is the powerful one in this. Not my favourite from you, but it was a ton of fun, i'll give you that. Good job!

DJohn - Oooh metal drums. This is a style i'm definately not heard you, but i would love to hear more of. The guitar and drums are awesome, the mix is sooo good, sounds like really well mixed metal. The vocals i'm not so sure. I mean you are an incredible singer, but i don't know about the mix. It feels like the vocals could be a tad bit better, however though, the most i listen, the more i find it get's better. So it's more of a minor mixing thing. Honestly your singing is still incredible, and the metal backing is awesome, so i'll give you this one. Well done!

InvisibleObserver - I'd say you are the king of sound design. You always come out with these cool little sound design ideas, i wouldn't even imagine. The drums were really good, but the growls i'm not feeling. For it's the over abundance of Dubstep basslines, which i feel could be blended into stronger beats, or maybe just tone down the growls in general. Ending was sudden, i forgot it was over. It's a lovely idea, i think it just needs polish. Good job though!

NickC - Deep bitcrushed basslines, very cool i have a feeling it's gonna be some loud industrial number. Nice beats, great percussion, almost like a gritty 4 on the floor dance number. Chords are super cool, it doesn't feel like it's happy, but yet it doesn't feel heroic. I like them, i always like it when people go into weird chords, especially in this context. Loving the almost Darkwave aspect of this, very groovy. Well done!

Dex - Orchestral Dex strikes, with what appears to be a Pirates of a Caribbean type beat lol. Loving the symphonic metal approach (I think they call it Neoclassical metal). It's very sick, the melodies are lovely, and the rock approach blends perfectly. Love the one, well done!

obScene - String runs seems to be a common theme with obScene, loving the mood setter in the intro. Feels like some training montage a-la Karate Kid. Loving the moody chords, and that Eastern flute sound, is a lovely touch, makes it perfect for some Japanese mountains or something. The developments feel slow, but in a lovely way. The way each chord builds up, i just love it. The concept of a solo kick is also a good move, it really adds to the minimal tensions, especially in a piece this slow in build-ups. Long story short, i can't keep talking about this, this was awesome, well done!

LoisLoan - Welcome new person, i don't think we've met lol. Sounds very Asian inspired, like you're borrowing from Chinese or Mongolian music. Could also be from the Turkish regions, it's very dynamic. Love when the second half hits, really transforms into something cinematic. The piano really feels like it's the star, it wants all the attention, it's the solo instrument. The chords are really something, fits like some Dark Anime. Super lovely sounds, awesome first entry, well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - I feel like you've gone for a more found sound approach in the drums lol. Are they all made from arrow's XD. No but seriously the percussion is super strong in this, i love the grooves. The flute is dynamic and vibrant, and the nature sounds really add to the effect of the piece. The synth chords were unexpected for this piece, but super welcome. Really makes it feel like it's a dance party out in China XD. No but seriously this was super enjoyable, well done!

Eva - The drums here are super hot, very nicely mixed. The guitar feels like some very grungy stuff, very hazy, almost like one tone, than a chord progression (Which is a good thing). Your voice is sadly buried, i can't tell what you are saying sometimes (Of the times you appear), but the idea was super cool, definately enjoyed this. Good job!

Arcana - You left your metronome on haha. This is going to be a long journey, really liking the synth sounds on here. You voccoder on your vocals is such a cool idea, loving the way you change the chords too, got a hint of major. The vocals are awesome, whatever plugin or device you are using, it's amazing. The chords are in the right balance too, normally it needs to be mixed, but i like it like this, the vocals are the star, they need the spotlight. The break in the middle is also great, but i don't know what the lead is doing, it sounds like a over distorted vocal, it's nice but a bit weird. The metronome is kind of distracting i'm sorry, if that wasn't there it could be in the awesome category, because there was enough positives that negatives, but unfortunately the metronome was the killer, i'm sorry. Good job though!

Christopian - Great synthy intro, feels like a modernized Blade Runner soundtrack, very dark and airy. Has a hint of 80's to it as well, and a hint of trance too. The build-up was very satisfying, works super well into hyping me into the drop. The kick was satisfying, perfect fill into it. The chords are just soo good, the synth sounds just....they're amazing. Love this a lot, well done!

JH Sounds - Bring on the ol' JH Lyrics, let's goo. Great singing, nice backing, really digging your lyric writing, you write such good lyrics. (Just realized it's a cover lol, my bad.) Nice chord changes, well done!
