Sound design for these are on point, I thought they were the most memorable tracks from this week. Great job with the SFX as percussion and melody, DDRKirby.

@CotMM - When a mere 1 second has more discussion time, than the actual piece itself haha.

@NickC - That's actually true. DarkShadow makes 1 minute feel like 3 minutes lol. I still enjoy his stuff though.

@Arcana - I was actually unsure if this is too much reverb or not enough. I feel it needs the reverb for the effect, but looking back, people seem ok with it.

@Misael.K - I didn't know a mere second, would cause a lot of discussion lol.

@Souperion - Thanks lol. I definately sold somewhat of a unique experience.

@Misael.K - I'm wondering what constitutes as ambient? Is it the fact it has drums, that removes the ambient label? I mean, it's primarily got thick reverbed pads, and no melody, and the drums mostly carry a pulse, than a groove. Maybe it's the loudness of the drums maybe? I was trying to invoke a relaxing feel.

@Arcana - I mean the drums do take it away, but i still feel there is ambient music to a degree. I don't know, genres can get a bit blurry sometimes. Maybe it's the addition of drums that removes it.

@CotMM - Maybe i'm the only one who thinks this is ambient, based on the spacy reverb. I mean i was trying to make it relaxing, so i did sort of use Ambient music as a reference so to speak.

@Misael.K - If i had more time, i would clean it up a bit, but i only had an hour, so my end result was an hour's worth of work. The sub is needed, to stop it from sounding flat. It adds a bit of thickness to the sound.

@Ashka - That's probably the 303. I made it subtle so it doesn't detract from the overall feel of the piece, whilst adding a bit of movement to the sound.

@Arcana - There is a 303 in there, i just made it less noticeable, as to not detract from the overall calming nature. It adds something, but doesn't take anything away.

@Suzums - Gotta get my 6 minutes up eh? XD

@Misael.K - Interesting how you call it DnB, because i was trying to go for a more slow breakbeat thing. Maybe it's the breaks i'm using, who knows.

@Arcana - You know something's up when i don't reach 6 minutes haha.

@Ashka - Glad you guys liked it. I was worried i might have overdone the reverb, but it seems everyone's into it, so that's good.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - This track is a journey through lush pads, thick beats and a deep relaxing overtone. People say this isn't ambient, but i think it is, mainly because it's meant to put you in a calm mood. The only reason it might be perceived as not, is because of the drums. The beats are mostly breaks chopped and looped. It's mainly a pulse thing. Everything else is mostly simple syncopated bells and pads, primarily designed to be dense, with a lot of reverb. Everything is also created in 3/4, despite it feeling like a normal pulse. It's essentially missing the final beat. The arrangement mostly follows on the calming nature of the melodies. I liked this one, although i was worried about the excessive reverb. Seems a lot of people like it. Glad you all enjoyed it anyways!

Lyra_183 - First i've heard of this tune lol. Kind of amusing to be honest, wasn't expecting something this unusual. I enjoyed the vocals here, good job!

cotmm680 - Nice dense pads, feels like an extension of some of your previous ambient works, set in the water (It almost feels like part 2 to round 660). The pads were very cold, works super well for the atmosphere, love how it fades in and out. Chords were chilly, Super enjoyable, amazing stuff, Awesome work!

mcmiagblackmanisgod - Always dig your hip hop beats. I can never tell what vocals are being sampled, and why they are placed in. This one is really nice, but is a little...all over the place personally. Also this should come with a NSFW waring lol. Apparently it's Spanish Porn XD. I think chat got something out this haha. Nonetheless it was a fun listen, good job!

Souperion - This is really lovely, feels like some of the space ambient, you've dabbled in. Lovely pads, great attack. Feels like a perfect summers day, very chill. Great movement, has a lot of awesome drone qualities. Great melodies. Lovely listen, well done!

DarkShadow - Classic DarkShadow sound. Very intense, feels like you're taking me through a rollercoaster. Like the pauses between each loop, nice space. More of your dissonant ones personally, but i enjoyed it. Good job!

Koekepan - Nice minimalism, very deep on my headphones. Almost a bit too deep lol. Liking the ambience, great mallet sounds. A bit too bass heavy personally, and a bit too simple, however i can't say i did not enjoy it, because it was a ton of fun. Good job!

Suzumebachi - Nice detuned lo-fi melodies, feels like it's playing out of a cassette tape. Lovely beat, very groovy. Liking the synth elements, really nice. The lead melody was awesome, perfectly developed. Loving the gates here, really nice. Well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Nice trickling effects lol, makes me very thirsty for a drink. Very creative to use water as a percussive instrument. Always get a knack out of your Andrew Huang styled found sound stuff. Loving the basslines here, super funky. Great pads, really lovely kalimba sounds. Nothing else to say, it's a super enjoyable well developed piece. Well done!

NickC - Dark melodies, i really like them. Great piano and beat, feels like electronic techno rock or something lol. Making a rock structure with EDM beats. Lovely strings and chords, super mystical, very enjoyable melodies. Loving the second part, with all of the rhythmical syncopated chord stabs. This is pretty beautiful stuff, very funky and high energy, but with a lot of awesome developments. Awesome work!

Ashka - 4:30? Now were talking! I know you make incredible stuff, even before i listen (And this isn't bias talking, i mean it. I've never listened to you and outright said this could be improved upon. Every track so far is just...outstanding). Now this one....is in the same boat. I mean HOW, JUST HOW ARE YOU SOO GOOD. When i comment on your tracks, my reactions are genuine. THIS IS ACTUALLY BEAUTIFUL. Was immersed the whole way through, super calming, super beautiful, beyond excellent chords and beats, beyond amazing stuff. JUST....INCREDIBLE.....

Arcana - Eurorack and voice!? Man is this isn't a dream combo, then what is? Seriously, your modular stuff is awesome. I always love your live performances. The kick sounds like a distorted metronome haha. I'm amazed how you got a chord progression and a beat out of modular to be honest. The videos i watch, are mostly just noise and sound effects. This is actually pretty great. The vocals are a little dry, so i would add a bit of reverb, however the idea is super lovely. Thought about this for a while, and i've decided to give you this one, the good outweigh the bad. Well done!

Misael.K - Great chilly melodies. That's a lovely synth you got there lol. Piano chords feel like part jazzy, part chill. Drums were super funky, lovely beats. The whole thing is very well developed, lovely melodies. The whole thing is just super lovely, really beautiful piano playing. Awesome work!

JH Sounds - Why does this remind me of a mix between Bony M and Bob Marley lol. I have no idea why i got this comparison haha. Your lyric writing is top notch as always. This one is a little more on the repetitive side, but i can't argue the lyric writing is as solid as ever. Good job!

Eva - Late submission let's gooo. Sorry about your rendering problems, i have them a lot. The vocals are sadly masked in this, but i do like the guitar tones here, and the drum machine beat. It's a fun listen, good job!
