Also ashka and Koekepan and NickC and DDRKirby were really great as well. A lot of long, ambient/chill tracks this week and they sounded great, there was a lot of really cool sound design and synth design.

@JH Sounds - It sounds like you were gonna do this idea initially lol, but then went for another Paul McCartney one instead. To be fair, it had to happen right? Plus it was the best idea at the time, because i'm not always that good at coming up with lasting musical projects.
@Misael.K - Paul McCrackney lol.
@NickC - I knew people were gonna expect this, i just didn't envision who. Turns out to be me lol.
@Misael.K - The lyrics were made, because people kept over-analysing their songs haha. That's why the lyrics don't mean anything. Plus this was made during their LSD phase.
@JH Sounds - I mean who doesn't refresh ThaSauce to look at new entries?
@Misael.K - Everything is copyrighted *X-Files theme plays*
@JH Sounds - I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the only time we've had Egg as a theme.
@Misael.K - I basically made everything in an electronic style, using a MIDI rip. Then slotted in the acapella, which i YouTube'd. It's enough to be considered an original take on it, but recognisable in the sense, you know the original. I was working with a bit of a beat block this time. If i were to say, i'd consider this more of a cover than a remix, but it's not just for me to decide.
@JH Sounds - lul
@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!
Now then...
TheVideoGamer - I really don't feel like going into depth here, it's just a Beatles rework, nothing fancy. Just made it electronic, including dance beats, from a pre-existing MIDI and slotted the acapella on top. Glad you liked it, it's starting to grow on me lol.
Lyra_183 - Interesting room reverb, have you moved places? It sounds like you moved your stuff into another room. I can hear plates, it sounds like dinner time over there. Cool effect to be honest, great singing, good job!
cotmm68030 - Ooh noisy electronica, i should look into doing this more lol. You know for my track, i was initially gonna do a repetitive minimalistic noise number, with some guy repeating Egg infinitively, but this is good enough for me lol. Chicken Rave i shall call it, lovely chords and melodies in this one! Super catchy, well done!
DarkShadow - Always got that time signature game. This is got some cool funky syncopation i'm into a lot. It's very rich in basslines. Could do with more melodies for me, but great stuff, good job!
Souperion - Middle Ages breakfast i shall call this one lol. Very much feels like were back in the 1400's. Great triplet meter here, melodies were lovely. The last thing i would expect an egg to sound like, but this theme is very much more abstract than your standard house or forest. I'm into this a lot, well done!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Always down for some found sound. Especially if it fits the theme. Really like how you made each sound it's own instrument, although i can't tell what's actually being used here. It doesn't seem like it's an egg, but maybe an egg carton and some glass? Oh well, i'm going into too much depth, this is actually really nice, but i'm missing a bit of variety in the sounds. It sounds like you're using a lot of the same sounds/processing, which results in a more repetitive number for me. I love the idea, maybe it just needs refining who knows, maybe other might like it, but unfortunately for me, it's a good job.
Koekepan - More of what appears to be Found Sound. This theme would make the most sense to you, because you are a farmer lol. Very juicy bass tones, it appears you're trying to set us up for something along the lines of techno, although i don't hear any beats, just percussion, and the sounds are very minimal, which seems to be your style. I'm getting the impression of techno, because of the intense delay on the rimshot (Or at least it sounds like you're imitating a rimshot). The main melody is a bit too loud on my ears for me, but i did enjoy this one. Good job!
Suzumebachi - Oooh i love me some Sega Genesis FM. Great drums and chords, you're just such a master of cool jazzy like harmonies. I can never make chords as this unique as this. Lovely melodies, beautiful stuff, awesome work!
Wassup Thunder - SNES Eurobeat? Lol there's a descriptor for everything these days haha. It definately has the characteristic Eurobeat melody and speed, but it definately sounds like it was made on a SNES font. Personally i prefer you're Eurobeat on electronic instruments, or at least a better SNES soundfont, because i don't think it can handle this speed or intensity, however that is just me, the melodies were really great. Good job!
Barley - Cool guitar effects, very nice noodling. Kind of minimalistic in areas. Lovely effects, great use of suspense. That bassline is actually really good, it really gives it a grunge aesthetic. The drums are unfortunately quiet in this one, and while i like the bassline a lot, it can eat into the guitars a bit. Vocals could also could do with being a bit louder too, but the idea is really nice. Good job!
obScene - Ahhh soothing piano, some of you guys produce awesome melodies. Strings are gorgeous, this is just another one of them beautiful pieces. The strings could do with matching with the intensity of the piano, but the melodies are super nice and pretty. The melody writing alone immediately set this to awesome, but the range of sounds also added a bit of sparkle, this is soo good. I wish i would put you higher, but i have to deal with other incredible entries. Awesome work!
ashka - Even the worst tracks you've made end up being some of the best i've heard lol, like it's not even bias, it's just you are seriously the most talented, you always make incredible music. This feels totally like C418 to me, winter Minecraft (Then again, all ambient music sounds like Minecraft lol) No but seriously this is beautiful, like really beautiful. I love the sine waves, it's very warm and lo-fi, but very soothing. You'd think with all these layers it would be loud and maybe even dissonant, but it's not, it's just incredible stuff throughout. Beyond fantastic work!
Ethansight - Orchestral Rave? Great string work and bass, super funky. Loving the strings, and chords. Super pretty melody, well developed. Just super fun stuff, well done!
JH Sounds - Alright, so this is the prelude to my track lol. I mean why didn't Paul McCartney write this on Help! instead of Yesterday lol. Surprisingly great guitar here, is that VST or did you play that? The guitar in GarageBand sounds more mechanical than what i'm hearing here, so i don't think this is GarageBand. Nonetheless very funny, well done!
Misael.K - You can do so much with E, G and G lol. I'm in for a right cracking good time *bah dum tish*. Lovely melodies here, it's actually really lovely this piece. You've taken something so simple, but made it into such an intricate piece, i really love the melodies here, especially since you've managed to make a full chord progression out of essentially 2 notes (Or 3 if you count it as 2 G's). Extremely well developed, and a lot of fun, awesome work!
NickC - 6 min longplay les goo. Very unusual for you to go the long route, but honestly people should, get a lot mileage out of this compo lol. Great basslines, very nice and gritty, feels like it's a slow developer, based on Steve Reich like changes (Which is absolutely a compliment, not a negative thing). I sense a breakbeat in the back, always down for some Funky Drummer-ish beats. Super into the melodies a lot, really amps up the gritty feeling, while still retaining a sense of warmth. Also love how you have a bassline ostinato throughout to keep things going, it's something i like to do a lot too. Honestly the more i listen to this, the more i love it. The minimalism just draws me in, it's a beautiful lovely incredible piece. Incredible work!
Dex - Really nice chords, very dark, like a swarm of eggs coming to take over the earth haha. Lovely use of reverb, feels like it's got a soothing feel to it, while still retaining the intense chugging rock vibes. I think the guitar might be a little too loud for my tastes, maybe it's the reverb usage, but the melodies were super fire, and blends super well into each other. Honestly this is lovely work, a bit of polish would make this awesome. Good job!
Arcana - Very cute melodies, very nice mixing here, i like the stripped down approach here. Your singing is very nice here, and also very in key too, love how you've evolved the voice here. The last chord in section B's progression was fire. I love it. Honestly that might be one of your finest, enough for me to give you the Awesome category. Well done!
Top 3 - Ashka, NickC, obScene
You know i hate doing the top 3, because they're just so many awesome entries, that i can't rank, since a lot are on equal footing, so this one took a while. (All of this is subject to change, just right now this is my decision.)
These entries should also be on the list:
Misael.K
Suzumebachi
Awesome - cotmm68030, Souperion, Suzumebachi, obScene, Ashka, Ethansight, JH Sounds, Misael.K, NickC, Arcana.
Needs Work - Lyra_183, DarkShadow, DDRKirby(ISQ), Koekepan, Wassup Thunder, Barley, Dex.
