I liked Barley's vocals a lot this week, lots of energy and really captured that anthem rock feeling.

MisaelK for that really nice long developed piano and synth ballad

NickC with the really creative vocal processing.

@CotMM - I've only just started to listen, so i wouldn't know lol.

@Adi - Don't you just love augmented chords lol.

@Arcana - It is starting to become somewhat my signature style lol.

@CotMM - It does kind of reek of early jungle, but with modern day production ideas.

@Suzums - You've probably started to notice a pattern now haha.

@Colorado - Wait Simpsons is banned!? How can that cause offence? Is it because it's overplayed/overwatched?

@CotMM - Haha, funny gif.

@Adi - Switching it up to more intense territories ;)

@Misael.K - Same, it's soo funny.

@Adi - Lol i actually didn't realise he's a composer. I thought it was some character reference. That made me laugh XD.

@Colorado - Unintentional fakeout more like lol.

@Arcana - I guess you have some catching up to do lol.

@Colorado - There is a whole host of musical genres, just itching to get made. I wouldn't mind doing a noise track next week, to break the cycle of generic producing habits. Glad you liked it anyways.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then....

TheVideoGamer - I made this track to compensate for both the scary nature of skydiving, and the gorgeous views is brings while descending. The scary part comes in the form of the fast tempo, since it all happens so fast without a single pause for breath, and since it's a life or death situation it works well. The DnB break do seem a little on the cliched at this point, since i've used it a lot, but it was necessary for the mood. The remainder of the track is mostly ambient parts, with very uplifting spacious chords to compensate for the breath-taking views. I also wanted it to flow naturally with the drums as kind of this free-flowing track. It's very similar to a track i did for round 667, in which i made a calming DnB track with similar atmospheric ideas. I really like this one, because it's done right.

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Video Game music to kick the party off. Obviously you made this ahead of time, completely unrelated to OHC, but it is some seriously funky stuff, i just love the chords in this one a lot, soo good. I can't obviously really vote for it, but it is going in the awesome section. Well done!

Lyra_183 - Ooh that is a cool melody. This is something different. Maybe you should try a full metal song next week, because it seems your itching to do one. Good job!

Wassup Thunder - Wooah ambient music!? I'm all for this style of Wassup Thunder, that piano melody is very strong. It's very calming and airy, i really like the blend of sounds. I'm missing a bit of a bassline, that could really help the low-end, but the rest of sounds were beautiful, and really it was enough for you to make it to the awesome section. In fact it was enough for you to make the top 3, this was awesome stuff. Awesome work!

DarkShadow - Damm that is a strong bassline. It's like a Psytance bassline. This is one of your simpler tunes, and that does kind of flag it down for me, but all i can say is, keep being DarkShadow, wherever you are. Good job!

Souperion - It's a very cool idea, even if it's only really a minute. Let's be honest, you are not required to do 4 minute tracks every OHC to secure awesome music, even if it does allow for complex developments. As much as it's a bit too short, it was such a good range of melodies i'm gonna send this to the awesome category. Well done!

Koekepan - Very creepy intro, it definately feels like the start of a descent into something deep. Really liking the low end here, it's very strong....maybe a bit too strong. The minimalism is cool here, but i don't feel like there is a strongly defined melody in the high parts. I don't know, i feel this is a bit too intense of the low-end, and a bit weak on the highs. Very sparkly though, honestly the sounds themselves are lovely. Ending was a abrupt. Maybe it's a taste thing, since i feel this has potential. Thought about this one for a while, and in the end i say good job!

cotmm68030 - Ooh this is very Nine Inch Nails inspired, i love the drums. The vocals are extremely spacy, and honestly the effects are soo cool. Extremely fitting to the theme too. If i were to be honest, while i love this idea, i feel the mix needs a bit of work. Only because i can't decipher the vocals a bit, and the drums are getting pushed down by the synth work. I don't want to dismiss this entirely though (Not just because it was done in one take), the idea was seriously cool, and works so well for the theme. It's just a bit of polish really. Good job though!

Barley - Chugging that rock guitar, this is a very grungy guitar tone. Actually no, this reminds me of garage rock. Very lo-fi, it feels intentional. The guitar tone is really overpowering here, it's takes up a lot of the other elements, so much it actually takes a bit off the vocals. I don't hate your style or anything, i just feel the guitar is a bit too present. Your vocals are amazing though, you sing really well, this is not something i've usually heard from you. Really nice effort, good job!

Misael.K - A piano composition, nice. Really emotionally charged, and packed full of that minor notes. It's very much feels like a Phillip Glass type piano piece, but more emotional and has a lot of slow intricate developments. It's very really nicely done. The melody additions really make it more emotional and exciting. It starts of as a simplistic piano piece, but when you keep listening, more and more gets added turning it into some end credit/final scene of a movie kind of thing. The last part was soo good, especially when it reaches a climax with all the instruments coming together. Long story short, this was amazing, Incredible stuff!

obScene - It's ok, not everyone can make music they like, i've been guilty of that on more than one occasion. I'm just glad you entered, good job!

adibabidan - There seems to be a lot of tracks with the falling down effect, it's pretty interesting. Really liking this piano composition, kind of uplifting, which i don't consider skydiving to be haha. It's such a cool piece, it's like taking the idea of falling, and literally transcribing it to music. Although somethings could be changed, since it feels the idea goes on a bit too long, and the piano is a little dry, the whole thing was really good. Good job!

Eva - Ooh i like that drum machine sound, it's very cool, and fits the track very well. Your guitar tones always intrigue me, it seems to be very intentionally noisy, almost lo-fi. The vocals are also good, but like last time seem to be a bit lost, therefore it makes it harder to identify what you are saying. The whole thing is super nice though, good job!

Coloradoweeks - Why does this remind me a song, it's weird. Your singing is still beautiful, it seems to really fit the guitar in a great way. This is a little on the simpler side, it doesn't seem to develop further than a simple chord followed by another chord. Maybe i feel like it needs more rhythmical parts, since most of it is following static one bar patterns. Your singing is still really good though, can't get enough of it, as well as your really awesome songwriting. Good job though!

NickC - Very peaceful bells in this one. Really nice funky drum action going, really vibing along to it. The chords are super cool, it's like a cross between major chords and deep augmented chords. Is that you singing? That's not something i was expecting (However it could be a Youtube video). The melodies were seriously strong, really loving the vibes here. Well done!

Arcana - Woow Arcana doing DnB? These drums are very strong, but suprisingly not overpowering. It is a loud waveform, but it doesn't feel like it's too hard on the ears. The string melodies seem a bit lost, and the bassline is a bit too short for me, maybe increase the decay on that. The ending is very crazy, the chords are very complex, reminds me of Stravinsky (Classical composer). I don't know what to think of this, the idea is super cool, and the melodies were very interesting, however it does need a bit of work mix wise, but this is probably a taste thing. Good job though!

Suzumebachi - Everyone seems to really good for the descending melody, i don't know if it's a clich or a effective way to denote falling. The vibes are super good here, it definately suits the computer vibes. Now imagine this one the Sega Genesis. These chords are again, out of this world (Pun not intended). I guess you have a signature style of chord progressions lol. Ending was abrupt, but the whole thing was seriously soo good. Awesome work!

JH Sounds - I think The Beatles might be your favourite band haha. I know the original song (Because of course i know The Beatles), and you sing it so well. It's almost like an electronic cover of the original, and you know i'm all for it. Definately a fun listen, well done!

Top 3 - Misael.K, Wassup Thunder, Suzumebachi.

These entries should also be on the list:

DDRKirby(ISQ) (This should have been on, but the entrant wasn't made for OHC, so it doesn't count).

A Long Way Down was really loaded with emotion, and I'm a really big fan of how at the end it was reaching the point of what I'd describe as being more of a musical texture than a song.

I'm a big fan of PSL-egy (and I only just got the pun, nice one), mostly because the vocals feel so high quality. Everything is really well enunciated, and there's a really good balance of having a sort of conversational vibe to them while still fitting really well into the song.

I really liked Airborn, mostly cuz of the drums, very nice and crunchy. Also, the large volume of quality music put into this song is really impressive considering it was made in an hour.

DarkShadow: this week, I think your adrenaline-filled entry fits perfectly the sensation of falling from a great height.

Wassup Thunder: this entry represents more of a controlled fall, or a sad but expected "fall".
