The scifi reference and the sound treatment made me pick the winner, but Barley's narrative delivery was a close runner-up. Suzumebachi gave a generally polished performance with a strong finish, although I thought that it wandered a bit from the theme.

cotmm: I can eat up this ambient stuff forever. Great fx and sound design and slow evolution/modulation

coloradoweeks: your ideas are so great, too bad this wasn't longer!

misaelK: Awesome textures and evolving pads here, great stuff.

another dimension

the variety of sections was well developed, all the instrument choices are solid.

the sound of aliens

good to see you starting to explore some of the effects and experimenting with different sounds!

blue planet

like the intro to an Amiga or SNES action platformer. really surprised to hear the different instrumentation.

except europa

before the theme was shown i had fully intended on doing something rhythmic. but the vastness of space always draws me back into the black. sonically inspired by the dronescapes of artists like biosphere and lustmord. lifted a few samples out of the stems released by Chords of Orion for a recent remix challenge.

arcade space

nice glissando on the bass. lead patch definitely gives me shump vibes.

gaze from afar

the first chord really grabs me. love the drone note under it; but i'm a sucker for drones. lovely stuff overall.

you and me

this wasn't a nukage production so i'm not sure what i'm supposed to say. entry invalidated for hitting the awesome quotient too quick and then being over.

io 7 has a problem

the tone on the intro plucks is very spacious. love the idea behind the track, love the execution. one of the best tracks i've heard from you yet.

infinite orbit

great symphonic metal!

sacrifice to space

so ominous. the restraint in bringing in each element and building up the track pays off. i can get lost in the interplay of the pingpong lines on the bells. great stuff.

space spheroids

sounds so huge. very nice. wish it could have been longer!

zero lives

your stuff is so ornate. sonically excellent as always. nice melodies and progression. very exciting sounding.

cryptic cosmos

background hiss gives this a very low-fi feel. nice chords.

darkest vastness

spooky.

needing space

so much potential. great verse and chorus. well done.

spacey boy

a little quiet on the final render. fun composition.

mission's ecstasy

great synthwave feel. keep working on the vocals. you're improving all the time.

in the vacuum

solid track. nice melody.

a moment that lingers on time

love the description. focusing on that as the track swells up adds a context that enhances the listening experience. excellent track.

For those who want to know, i got back from my trip 3 days ago, so everything will be action packed and music related. Les do it.

@Misael.K - That is funny actually, especially since my tracks can go pretty hard, but it's very rare i'm first, that honour goes to Lyra lol. This happens to be an anomaly.

@Suzums - If it works, it works lol.

@CotMM - Arps provided by GarageBand, because i made this whilst i was away.

@Wassup Thunder - I AM THE GOD OF HELL SPACE.

@Arcana - I sadly disagree. I mean sure it's not far off in terms of length and style, but i definately think the quality is not there. JH Sounds can really make some dope bangers on GarageBand (Like really good songs), but for me, i just don't seem to get the best quality, compared to when i use my usual FL Studio. Again no hate, it's more of a personal thing. I've made awesome tracks, that i always feel can be upgraded on FL (So even better if you will). Oh well.

@ColoradoWeeks - To be fair, it's kind of bridging the gap between intense techno and space ambient. It's very unique.

@Souperion - It would need a lot of brightness for that haha. My track barely passes for calming, not to mention the lack of cute melodies.

@Misael.K - I'm very flattered people enjoy the stuff i do on here, but i still think it could be improved. Even on FL Studio, i make tracks that don't feel like quality, because i went too much into troll mode, or i didn't put enough into it. Or it's the opposite effect, where i make something that i considered to be awesome, that i know is gonna divide people. Who knows, i personally think the stuff i do on GarageBand always has room for improvement. I guess it's just me.

@CotMM - That is a great question lol, everyone always knows how to visually match my music.

@Suzums - That made me lol pretty hard, nice one.

@CotMM - That's valid. The drums seem a little louder than the ambience, so that could be why. As i've said, i don't consider the stuff i make on GarageBand to be as good as the stuff i make on FL Studio. That's not to say i don't like it, but rather it could be better.

@Everyone - What the hell is a Jenova? I am not a Final Fantasy person at all. To be fair i'm not a RPG person in general. Sorry if i offended 80 percent of the community haha.

@Lyra - Sadly they do. Glad you liked the journey though.

@CotMM - You literally posted it at the same time as Colorado lol. If that ain't a coincidence, then what is.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then....

TheVideoGamer - I've already discussed that this is a GarageBand project, and that this isn't as higher quality as the stuff i do in my normal DAW, but i still like it a lot. It's essentially a light bell sequence playing 5ths, followed by some sparkly pads, heavy basslines and synths, as well as a breakdown/section b, which involves a complex chord progression, and a kind of build-up back into the main section. There's nothing else really to say, because most of it, involves copying and pasting, with the occasional melodic addition. The ending is just the intro, but with a new Arp and drumbeat. All in all good stuff, glad you liked it.

Lyra_183 - Very cool effects here! It sounds like your imitating an Alien, very cool. It's hard to tell what you are saying, but the idea is super cool! Well done!

DarkShadow - Now hang on, your not DarkShadow. This is the tamest song you've ever put out. It's way too calming to be DarkShadow. I really don't know who you are anymore lol. Seriously though extremely dope stuff (Reminds me of a SNES game in parts, even though i don't recognise the SNES sounds). Your calmest ends up being super enjoyable and enough for the awesome category. Well done!

cotmm68030 - This image was clearly for you lol. I expect a full on ambient journey, and you delivered. Extremely luscious pads, very 80's influenced, almost reminds me of Tangerine Dream or Jean Michel Jarre, if i can make the best matches. The whole thing from start to finish was beautifully developed. Your tracks despite being 6 minutes end up being too short lol. Expecting this to run on for 10 minutes. All in all, seriously amazing stuff, well done!

animatrix1490 - Now this sounds like a C64 game in parts. Really nice 80's drum machine sounds, and melodic synth ideas. Needs touching up for me, the drums are very quiet, and the melodies seem to clash a little. However though the melodies itself sound amazing, and definately bring out the funkiness of the track. Not the most fitting to the theme, but as a whole liked it a lot. Good job!

Souperion - I've been missing your space ambience, especially for a theme like this. It was definately needed. This is just what space sounds like to me, maybe it's my expectations lol. Synths were super lovely, and the melodies were very simple and drawn out, super effective. Liking the Asian inspired main melody, i can't tell if it's a synth of an acoustic instrument. The whole thing is just beautifully produced, well done!

Nukage - Wait a minute, this is not what i was expecting from Nukage. Maybe it's the influence of John. Still think he sings incredible well, i can sense of the chords of Nukage, with the guitar vibes of John. Has the makings of an EDM song, but yet it's trying to go into a more acoustic direction. Conflicting feelings ooo. Awesome sounds though, very beautiful singing, well done!

Barley - This is very long and drawn out, almost like a story, you're telling me. Big fan of these drums, like the clear sound, it fits the track super well. Sadly i can't identify what you are saying on the voice, because it's mixed super quiet, however i do like the guitar notes here, it's very mysterious and spooky. Kind of minimalistic, it's got a very cool stereo phasing ambience, really dig that. To be honest, i actually think this is really good (Minus the quiet vox), definately feels like it's well developed for it's runtime. I'm gonna give you this one, definately some really nice ideas. Welcome to the awesome category!

Wassup Thunder - And this is the return of the Wassup Rock. Somehow i just know what your style is going to sound like before i even play it lol. That's a good thing, because you excel at orchestra rock really well. The chords and melody are especially good in this one. Well done!

Koekepan - I really like it when you tracks are long, because i get the maximum experience. If it's only a minute, i don't feel like i've had the time to immerse myself in track. This might be me though, but i get the most enjoyment when it's long (3 minutes or over). Super into the deep minimalism here, especially with how slow things develop. This is exactly what a space theme sounds like to me, i consider these kinds of tracks to be the most fitting. (I wanted to do a track like this or CotMM's, but i was on GarageBand and i didn't really have much to play with, in-terms of time and musicality. Sorry). The choir is an amazing touch, it's very developed but also very soft. This kind of track i can listen for a long time and not get bored. Sure it can be classed as background music, but it's awesome background music. Well done!

Suzumebachi - More drone action, a lot of people really seem to like going for long notes this week (Probably why they're are so many entries at 5-6 minutes). Lovely distortion usage, this is very intense, and almost weirdly ambient at the same time. I can sense it building up to something, maybe as an album intro. The second half is amazingly funky, very much sounds like Acid House. Loving the funky drum machines and synths. Also love how you take the ambience of the first half, and make some lovely melodies out of it. Amazing mixing, just...well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Now we move onto huge space vibes.....but for the NES ooo. You make some very lovely chiptune inspired music, the melodies are fire. Even though it's commissioned based work, it actually to a degree seems fitting here. Really nice grooves, nothing else to say, it's just lovely stuff. Well done!

NickC - Very resonant FM synths, half moody, but half warm. It's almost like your playing a synth on a keyboard i like it a lot. The pad chords are super nice and "phasy". If i have to be honest, the whole thing is very clustered, i feel like it needs a lot of space. The wonky beats at the end was unexpected, but honestly off-putting, i feel it takes away from the experience rather than add. Really it's just polish and expansion, the whole idea was very cool. Good job!

kboldskeep - This is very different. It's got a bit of a spooky edge to it. I don't know how to react to this, the melody feels very loose, and the random "explosions" sort of made me jump. I will give you props for the unique idea, however because i can't pin-point exactly how i feel about this track, i can't really give you this one, i'm sorry. (It's not that it's bad, it's more so there's no direction it's taking me, i feel lost) Good job though!

coloradoweeks - I really don't know why i find similarities between your voice and Starla's. I mean you sing incredibly well, but it just almost feels like there's some kind of relation between the voice. Lovely grooves and amazing lyric writing, however it was so short, i felt it was like a snack than a full meal, i feel like i need more. Good job though!

Eva - This is another very short ditty. Your voice is mixed extremely quiet, and the guitar is very forward. I also detect a few timing issues. However to avoid sounding too negative, i love the idea, the guitar playing is top notch. Just polish is all it needs, good job though!

Arcana - Nice wompy bass, definately sounds like Arcana to me. The vocals are mixed super nicely, probably the best mixed vocals you've ever done, since the first vocal track you've made. I love the drums and chords, this is also to me the best mixed Arcana track to date. The drums are nice and punchy, but not too loud, the vocals blend extremely nicely, and the chords and synths, don't get lost. Well done!

JH Sounds - Quite an uplifting tune for something often seem as something Dark, Moody or empty, so it was quite a surprise. It's also a surprise to see you almost reach the 5 minute mark, this is not something i see from you. Really liking the sounds here, this is a super well done song, lovely lyrics and really nice chords. Very unusual for a theme of this calibre, but i enjoyed it a lot. Well done!

Misael.K - Almost went over 6 minutes there lol. Bang on 6:00. I don't need to say much here, it's very much what ambient music should be. Beautiful sound design, and lovely chord sequences. For a second i thought it was just gonna be one full drone for 6 minutes, i really did think that, but when the chord changed, i thought oo this is taking me places. The whole thing is amazing, very much feels like space music, super fitting and well developed. Almost calls back to CotMM's entry, where it feels so god dam short. Long story short, i love this, awesome work!

Top 3 - Misael.K, Koekepan, cotmm68030

To be honest with you, these 3 could go in any order. This just happens to be the order i feel at the moment.
