The same problem fit a few others. So relevance cleared the field quite a bit, and the narrative approach taken by coloradoweeks ended up delivering the win.

great entries everyone!
- Plaguebreaker by Atmospherium. i truly have a soft spot for metal, but biases aside vocals are great, mixing is great, lyrics are incredibly clever.
- The Devil Blew Up My Computer by nukage. great use of stock plugins, an absolute banger of a track.
- Make a Deal by JH Sounds. extremely danceable! lyrics are always great too!
"hi it's me the devil you summoned" and thevideogamer's remix of "devil went down to georgia" were both two standouts that i was considering for at least the 3rd place spot. it hurts my heart that i can't have them all tied with "make a deal" for 3rd, so consider this a very close 4th.
additional honorable mentions for "the call for wisdom," "run," "twinkle out of existence, little star" (which again, i'm definitely gonna play for my kid,) "this song has an organ in it," "this mortal coil, "dual with the devil, "dressed properly at doom's gate," "hellbat burns outta time," "falling into the depths of hell."
even if i hadn't mentioned your track by name, i definitely had a fun time listening!

@Dex - I'm surprised nobody even gave it a thought lol. I must be the only one.
@Souperion - Well it's actually Fiddle vs Electric guitar. I didn't sing this, i just ripped the acapella from the web. (Since A, i can't sing, and B i don't have a lot of time.)
@CoTMM - The Rednex version is also pretty good, even if it's a bit too goofy lol.
@Wassup Thunder - A Devil themed cover for round 666, what's not to like about it?
@Arcana - The song is actually a bop, all things considered.
@Wassup Thunder - Not today my friend, it's the Devil's turn.
@Arcana - Yes it's a MIDI, i don't have the time to sequence all this, it would take me ages. As for the MIDI, you just need to search for the name of the artist and song, followed by MIDI. It's probably a bit harder since you are dealing with Artists and songs, rather than say Video Game Music, which already has a dedicated Database for it, but other than that, i found it no problem.
@Misael.K - Everything with the exception to vocals, was essentially reconstructed by me. I mean it's a cover, i'm basically doing my own version of the already popular tune, using synths and drum machines. The vocals were ripped from the web (I forgot the website, but it wasn't YouTube).
@Wassup Thunder - I don't know actually lol, it's all primarily synth based.
@Arcana - Adding sounds to a pre-existing MIDI doesn't make me a genius lol.
@Misael.K - I only noticed this after re-listening, how unfortunate. I guess that's the drawback of using an hour.
@Wassup Thunder - I like how everyone thinks i could be a genius lol. It's not like i put any real effort in..
@Eva - The description is a transcription of what the dude's robot voice is saying. It's basically the context of the sample, and where it comes from. If you look up the album's last track, it's pretty scary if you ask me.
@Misael.K - It's interesting, because in The Beatles record, it doesn't end, it loops like a Locked Groove. Some people say there is a secret message when reversed, but i can't see it.
@Colorado - It's such a cool sound, that only the die hard enthusiasts would actually think where it comes from.
@Misael.K - Trust me, there's actually a lot more creepy stuff from them, than we are lead to believe. I've learnt a lot on the album covers i didn't even know. It's weird.
@Andre - lol
@JH Sounds - True, but the sample is the star of the show.
@Atmospherium - That gif gives me nightmares lol.
@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!
Now then....
TheVideoGamer - People have already established this as a cover, especially since the title gives it away. Charles Daniels did the original, if you don't know. I just took the composition, added my own drums and synths to it, and ripped the acapella from a website, i forgotten the name to lol (I can't sing at 2am). It's perfectly fitting for this round haha.
ThaTaskmasta - The description is a literally translation of what the robot is saying (Remember it's 2am when i upload, so i can't sing or speak). If you want to learn more, just simply google A Day in the Life groove (Or Sgt. Pepper's Groove, both will give you similar results). Long story short, it's a hidden weird message that can only be obtained via letting the last track run on longer, than normal. Not many people know about this, because they assume the long release on the last chord means it's over. Very fascinating if you ask me.
JustAVideoGame - I then proceed to take this weird and wonderful sound and butcher it with a fire groove. Since the original is a locked groove, i had to chop it up to fit 4/4, and fill the rest with my usual production ideas. Very cool indeed.
DrumJ8 - Nice piano vibes, definately has a lot of Augmented chords. Nice polyrhythms here, great touch. The waveform is unfortunately very loud, the whole clips quite a bit. (Which i'm guilty of sometimes). The idea is cool, but needs a bit of attention. Good job though!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Wow this is like Euro-Rock with a lot of old video game vibes. Definately feels like something for the NES. Also surprised to see you finish early. Your not usually the second entrant lol. The melodies were fire, definately one of your strong suits. If i have to be personally honest, i don't feel like this needs any risers or impacts. Since were dealing with more 80's rock like drums, the risers make it more intense than it needs to be. Perfectly fine with more electronica drums, but in this case it's not really electronica. The melodies though were too good to ignore, and i'm probably the only one who thinks the risers don't work in this context. I'm giving you this one, because the melodies again were just...well done!
cotmm68030 - Wow this is aggressive, i like it a lot. I'm a huge sucker for distortion, and this is lovely. I love the glitchy aspect of the drums, this is soo cool. The vocals are fire too, amazing effects used. I just love everything about this. Awesome work!
Lyra_183 - Dark and Melancholic. The vocals have a lovely delay effect on them. Sudden ending, made me chuckle a bit. I'll give you this one, because the piano works well in this one. Well done!
Dex - Haha, this is awesome. I know it's 26 seconds, but honestly for this, i don't mind. Well done!
superjoe30 - lol what the hell is this. I have no clue how to react to this. I mean, it was funky...but....er...good job i guess.
DarkShadow - We are getting quite a lot of entries under 1 minute. This is very interesting, this is not the DarkShadow i'm used too. Personally it's very loud, the mix is clipping, but good job!
Souperion - A Souperion composition under 2 minutes? This is something you don't see everyday. Really nice and devilish, reminds me of Shostakovich in parts. A consonant melody is trying to creep in the mist of all the sharp dissonance. Very cool indeed, well done!
Barley - Interesting guitar licks, it's almost like it's trying to in and out of the beat. Really nice guitar playing in general. Feels like it's mixed very quietly, and the guitar parts are a little clustered, but i do like what i'm hearing. Good job though!
Koekepan - Koekepan proving that music can be made with only 2-3 one short sounds. Very deep, and also very much like something is waiting to happen, the build-up to a Jumpscare. The vocals in the back make the experience, very creepy indeed. Yes it's very quiet, and minimal, and for me sadly, it's a bit too much minimalism, however i do like the ideas here. Good job!
Eva - Ooh this is very interesting. Your taking a rock tune, and making it sound noisy. It actually reminds me more of the experimental vibes of The Beatles (A weird coincidence lol). I don't know what to think of this personally, i feel the vocals are lost in the mix, and there are more elements clashing than it should be. Sorry i don't think this one is for me. Good job though!
Suzumebachi - Now are you trying to sound like Bach? Every week you seem to conjure images of a composer in my mind. I can definately this has inspiration from Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Could have done with being a bit longer, and a less than abrupt end. But super creative idea nonetheless. Good job!
Nukage - Ooh these are some crunchy beats, i love it! A leftfield side of Nukage, the beats are very wonky, definately trying to use some heavy syncopation. Really digging the juicy synths, the idea here is super cool. It doesn't sound as good as what you usually make, but i can't deny the idea is very nice, maybe it just needs polish. Good job though!
Johnfn - The return of an oldie. Long time no see, great to see you still making music. Great ambience, i love how you've made your vocal into a background choir like sound, super lovely. Really digging the light percussion, this is great. The background pad, just makes this into one awesome experience. Amazing work!
NickC - FL Slayer is legitimate for those who use it properly. Super into this, i love the atmospheric pads, and the chugging distorted electronic slayers making one big texture. Very much in line industrial music, the same way CotMM presented his entry. Now it's very noisy, so you could say this is off-putting, however in a rare case, i don't think this. I think the distortion is necessary for this vibe. It's almost like a movie, where the main character walks in wearing glasses acting all badass. I love the work here, well done!
Wassup Thunder - Some devilish chords going on here. Quite intense and sharp, setting up for some untz untz. Now i can identify the familiar synths here, but i do like the electronic drums here, i feel they work miles better than a rock kit. I don't know, it just feels more like Eurobeat to me. Unfortunately in a unusual case, this is a little bit...uneven for me. I feel like polish is needed for some of the synths, they can get a bit...intense. The idea is super fitting though, and the melodies were great! Just polish for me, good job!
Misael.K - I was kind of missing the 6 minute entries here, i thought this was gonna be a short one, but thankfully you came to save the day lol. Really liking how you really went all out for that piano, lovely solos all around. Very Jazzy, as if Duke Ellington was sent to hell. Also cool you managed to keep yourself locked in one chord for quite some time, really makes things more...straight-forward is probably the word. Also really like how you manage to add an additional bar of rest, really prolonging the pause, it's very cool, very wonky. The solos are just awesome. I don't know about the other elements, because a part of me feels it's missing some parts, but another part of me feels it's fine as is. I'm getting too into over-analysing the music, love this one, well done!
coloradoweeks - I can't get enough of your voice, you are just an amazing songwriter. The drums are very tight, i love it. This is just such a great song even if it's short. Well done!
JH Sounds - Bring on the electronic vibes of JH Sounds. I would have thought you would have done a cover of a song for this theme, but i guess not. I must be the only one lol. Great lyrical content, this is a great well-written song. Well done!
Atmospherium - OOOH YES, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR ONE OF THESE FOR THIS THEME. The Devil can't be the devil without Metal right? This is amazing, headbanging right now. I love the rhythmical variations in the vocals, it's like a Polyrhythm. Maybe i'm biased towards things that are loud. (I'm referring to those that are intentionally loud. Not those that are unfortunately/accidentally loud. Sorry.) But this is...i can't keep talking, excellent work!
Arcana - If you wanna save some submission time, i would use a template, and maybe bookmark some presets that you like, just a suggestion. Honestly though, this one was pretty much on time (Maybe close to missing the deadline, but not necessarily late). Really like that snare, it's a cool style of snare. The backing track is funky, and fitting for Arcana. You've also really seem to improved your singing from when i first heard your voice. Like it's really on tune now, compared to before. It's a little quite sure, i feel the voice could be brought up, but the rest is very nice. Honestly i think this is one of your finest, it's nicely balanced and mixed, only 1 thing i feel could be touched upon slightly. Well done!
obScene - It's not often we get 25 entries (Although to be fair i take up 3 of them lol). Really nice deep sounds, very unerving reminds me of a horror movie. The soundscape is really good, very fitting to the theme, and works well. Kind of fitting to close this round out too lol. Well done!
