@Souperion - We are the Tribes of Hellfiya.

@Barley - That's actually a chant. I ripped it off youtube.

@CotMM - Juno Reactor has bass. Something i long for lol.

@Misael.K - Can't argue with that haha. I literally downloaded a new sound pack and used this compo to test it out. There's like 30-40 sounds in my DAW and i used about 20-25 maybe. There's literally no melody, just drums.

@Barley - I shoulda added a break in to seal the deal lol.

@Lenticles - I use FL Studio 10. A lot of people are probably wondering why i have a DAW that old, but truth be told it's the best one. The interface is cleaner, it's not as cluttered, and the toolbar isn't a tiny little GUI in the corner. Although i don't use every feature, because i don't necessarily need to, some stuff in the newer version became more complicated than it needed to be. I don't know, i just like the older version better, that's like an Unpopular Opinion.

@JH Sounds - It's actually E-MU haha. It's a new sound pack i downloaded. It's pretty much a 90's drum machine/synth hybrid. Although i have all the sounds, it's the drums i mainly used. They're actually pretty good.

@Lyra_183 - To be honest i don't lol. Although i will admit, this is one of my stronger suits, especially since i didn't resort to one bar loops, even when i could have.

@Misael.K - Correct i do. When in doubt, ask the locals, they probably know more than i do. But always check the voting if you want to see me respond, i usually start from the first comment down.

@Souperion - Caffeinated? More like someone's injected sugar into your bloodstream lol. Speedy Tribes of the Amazon.

@JH Sounds - Jumanji on Red Bull.

@Exubeats - Everything is a solo lol.

@Misael.K - Make that 100 percent haha, no melody at all. Everything is all percussion.

@Colorado - This be twerking music XD.

@Misael.K - There is an instrument called the Vibraslap, which is kind of like a ball rubbing a piece of wood at a fast speed. Best if you look it up, it's sort of hard to explain. I think that's what you might be referring to.

@JH Sounds - To be fair, that's very much in line with how someone would interpret this music lol.

@Souperion - Start with a 4 on the floor distorted kick drum at 170bpm.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - This track is made out of pretty much nothing but drums. Not just 5 or 6 sounds either, i'm talking like 30 sounds. Bongos, Timbales, Rimshots, every kind of tom, i have it all. The goal here is to make it a kind of continuous drum jam. Sounds come in and out, and each section explores a distinctive sound. So one minute it could be bongo's, next minute it's drums and snares. I wasn't trying to create a structure of anything, the sections can come in at anytime. It's very loose, as the point is to simulate kind of a live drumming experience with different sounds. Also since i'm using so many sounds, i made sure to time the dynamic changes to avoid it being one consistent texture. It's just basically a drum jam with lots of ethnic percussion to fit the "tribe" aesthetic. Speaking of tribe, i made sure to add some chanting in, which i ripped off YouTube, or just one vocal snippet if you want to be specific. All the sounds came from a new sound pack i downloaded, to try out. This theme was perfect for it. All in all definately like what i did here, it's very unique. Hope you do too.

Lyra_183 - You do like using that particular piano sample lol. I've heard it in so many of your tracks. I think you need to start trying new sounds, maybe learn how to make melodies? I don't know i'm just suggesting, you're doing great however. Good job!

Suzumebachi - NOW YOUR DOING A DEBUSSY TYPE COMPOSITION!? The talent with you never stops. The piano melodies are....out of this world. So beautiful, excellent work! I was struggling to decide between Starla and You for the top spot, both are incredible. Can't do it, you're both joint first. Both are soo good.

DDRKirby(ISQ) (First Entry) - Ooh Guzheng, this is new from you. Really like how you've taken one sound and made it dynamic. It's very traditional sounding, i love the melodic approach here. Personally it's very....lacking is probably the best word to use. Maybe i'm not the audience, but i feel like i need something else than one sound. The thing is though, the more i listen, the more i get attracted to the simplicity. This one is hard, either i like it or i don't. I'll give you this one, the VST sounds great, well done!

Barley - Latin percussion in the back, very nice and soft. Really liking the guitar work, definately an improvement from before, very fitting. I like the jam vibes this one gives me. The vocals are lovely too, makes it into more of a song. The background percussion does get masked quite a bit, however this time i'm finding more positives than negatives. I'll give you this one, great guitar playing. Welcome to the awesome category. Well done!

DarkShadow - Can't be DarkShadow without a 250bpm kick drum and heavy bass and saw synths lol. The snare in this one is super tight, i dig it a lot. Not my favourite from you, but good nonetheless. Good job!

cotmm68030 - I was expecting this to show up lol. Someone had to do it. I don't know what constitutes as a MIDI rip, since all you've really done is played the chords on the guitar (Which sounds more like a VST thing) and used your voice to sing (I usually think of MIDI Rips, in the context of remixing Video Game music. Unless you mean you've done little to the song to make it your own, which in that case i see why, since remixes/covers stand out as being your own.) Really nice take actually, the vocals are really good in this, kind of underrated. For all the memery, i'm giving this one, because you sing this song so well. Well done!

JH Sounds - Ok you're never this early, what's going on. Has something happened, that's changed your workflow? All jokes aside, great song. I really liking the kind of dramatic feel in the strings, it's a little more darker. Really nicely done. Well done!

Atmospherium - Surprised to see Big Lebowski there, that's very odd, especially for a theme unrelated to it lol. I think this theme might have paved way for too many joke entries. Very industrial, as expected from you. Also has some come weirdly out of sync rhythmic parts, makes it more glitchy. The whole thing is lovely, that flute melody just makes things a whole lot better. Lovely work!

Lenticels - Wow this is very cinematic, the drums are quite huge. The basslines are very juicy, i feel like they need to take centre stage. I feel like the drums are too hot for this, i need a dynamic change or a switch. Maybe it's me, but i just feel like everything is getting constrained by the drums. Liking the sounds though, good job!

Exubeat - Interesting vocal sounds. It sounds like a choir, but with kind of a hollow centre. The drums are super fire, and really fit the overarching melodic ideas. The sound design is also lovely, i really like this one a lot, nothing wrong here. Well done!

Dex - This is a different Dex, and i'm all for it. The drums are very unique, i like the flams in this one. Very eerie and spooky, kind of belongs in a horror movie. The simplicity is very cool, it's got that really airy space it's great. Strings were really nice, the pauses just...really make it cinematic, i don't know i like this one a lot. Well done!

Souperion - When i first heard it, i immediately thought this was like Part 2 to Dex. I think i wasn't paying attention lol. I can see why though, the strings continue the eerie vibe Dex gave off. Nice selection of East Asian sounds, great to see you trying new instruments out. The violin, just makes the whole thing dynamic, i love the melodies a lot. The bowls, really do add depth. I can't say more, this is just lovely stuff. Well done!

coloradoweeks - Your lyric writing is so pretty, i love it. You are very talented in the Songwriting department. Sure the backing beat is extremely simple for my tastes (Taste is personal, sorry.), but the Songwriting and singing was too good to ignore. I'll give you this one, can't get enough of the lyrics, well done!

x93nv8 - Wow this is funky. Another talented singer, i can't sing half as good as these people. The chords are beautiful, i love the movement, the vocals are amazing (Autotuned doesn't matter). A big kick could work here, but that's a minor one. Love this one, well done!

eva - So many songwriters this week! Great first entry, liking the deep vocals, almost mystic. Backing track is weird for me, the guitar tone is very clustered and the drums are kind of static, but i know i didn't succeed on my first entry in ThaSauce. Learning is growing. Good job though, i still liked what you did!

Starla - Wow this is awesome. I mean i already knew you were extremely talented in producing, but this is on another level. The singing is....i didn't know you could reach that high in the register. The grooves are fantastic, the piano sounds awesome....it's just a very professionally produced song, with amazing lyrics. Amazing work! I was struggling to decide between you and Suzumebachi for the top spot, both are incredible. Can't do it, you're both joint first. Both are soo good.

DDRKirby(ISQ) (Second Entry) - That's why your entrant was only 2 minutes long lol, you were presenting part 2 at the end. No but seriously, i need to start doing second submissions, and maybe next round i might do so. Now you know me, but i prefer this over your first one, by a mile. Again the first one was hard to judge, because it's soo simple, but this one, i love the grooves, the melodies were awesome, nicely compressed beats. Awesome work!

Misael.K - Lovely melodic ideas, huge fan of the synth choices here. Definately makes the composition stand out. The melodies were really the standout, i love the approach to the guitar solo. So many amazing compositions this week, this one included. Well done!

NickC - Eerie ambience, really digging the synths, soo pretty. It's kind of like unsettling ambience. The harp feels like it's tuned down a couple of cents, kind of weird. Not sure what to think of the dissonance. It's like you've added a couple of notes to make for some added heat. I don't hate it, but i'm a bit conflicted on it. I don't know, i love the synth ambience, but it's just weirdly jarring. Also the beats come in right as we end, which i've seen a lot of tracks do, in past OHC's. Still loving the synths though. Good job!

Arcana - That's an Arcana chord progression alright. One of your strongest beats to day, the grooves on this one are soo good. The vocals are weirdly masked in the mix, and sometimes out of tune, it kind of makes it more dissonant than it already is. Love the backing track though, definately a highlight. It's really the vocals that just need a bit of work on, the rest is pretty great actually. Good job though!

InvisibleObserver - An InvisibleObserver track that goes over 3 minutes? That's interesting. Love how you try for something new, and make full blown ambience, instead of combining it with EDM. I love the sporadic nature of the synths. It's not a straight-forward vibe, it's weirdly wonky. The chords are lovely, the idea is very cool. Well done!

Top 3 - Suzumebachi, Starla, DDRKirby(ISQ) (Second Entry).

Suzumebachi and Starla are joint first, i cannot separate them, both entries were incredible. So that makes DDRKirby(ISQ) second place, and Atmospherium essentially third place.

Ok this round impressed me a lot. So many amazing entries. You guys really made it hard for me to choose 3 (Too much talent i tell ya). Like seriously hard.
