No, seriously, cotmm68030 did a great job capturing the feel. Arcana's throat song wasn't actually throat singing, but still made for a good chant. And I loved Ashka's whole feel.

Wassup Thunder was an easy first place for me for creating such a varied, meaningful track on the theme.

@JH Sounds - What intro lol. You calling me a plagiariser?
@InvisibleObserver - Tis no Liquid DnB. Only Downtempo.
@Misael.K - I spent most of my time coming up with a chord progression (Plus a few crashes...) D:
@Ashka - Lol, basslines are for chumps. Who needs em haha...
@JH Sounds - That fill be satisfying though...
@Arcana - It's the time signatures, can mess with your brain. The beat is 4/4, while the melodic stuff is in 5/4 (Including the arp, but that might be 3/4, i didn't really check at the time)
@Misael.K - Does Ashka even have a signature bass sound?
@Ashka - I always feel like after the 2 minute mark, i end up adding some kind of 303 thing. I don't know, it's like a habit, because my brain keeps thinking it's repetitive, when i know repetition is a good thing, and i want it to happen. Lol life is complicated...
@JH Sounds - Alliterate my tracks. That would be funny. All of Arcana's Amazing Audio Absolutely Always Amazes Me. lol that's a bit much.....
@Misael.K - Haha, wouldn't be surprising......
@Everyone - Thanks for the kinds words!
Now Then...
TheVideoGamer - This theme is extremely dark and spacious. I'd say cold, because of the clouds, but for the most part it's dark. Now i couldn't muster any form of soothing music, in the sense of happy or feel-good, because the theme is way too...dark is the word i keep coming back to. I took the cold nature of the second image, since it seemed to fit my idea best, and made some kind of swung beat to it. The pad chords are in a time signature of 5/4, i'm really getting invested in the pad sounds of labs, they sound amazing. The arp is supposed to be 5/4, but some might identify 3/4 i don't know. The drums are a standard 4/4 with heavy swing on them. I mostly went for a more repetitive type track, utalizing chord sequences (Quite complex sequences) spanning 4 minutes. Simple but effective. Would have loved to do more, but i spent a lot of time on the chord progression (Plus a few DAW crashes, for no apparent reason lol). Anyways, i enjoyed it.
DrumJ8 - Loving the strings here. Very much like a great start to a cinematic film score. For me the whole thing is static. Not so much, what an orchestra would sound like, and some of the melodic elements for me clashed, but overall nicely done. Good job!
Koekepan - Good to see you again. Really dig the live imrpov approach, and i do like the modulations in the filters. The bell, i wasn't a fan off. Off-putting and had timing issues, in regards to the pad chords (And can be a little loud at parts too.) All in all though, i enjoyed this a lot. Good work!
Lyra_183 - If you ever get a chance (And you feel like your ready), your father could give you a crash course on DAW's and music software, so we could hear this in the context of a beat. Just an idea, i really enjoy your voice! Good job!
DarkShadow - Ok i'm legit curious to the music you listen to. Like this is very unique....to...you....
Suzumebachi - Jesus Christ that synth gave me goosebumps.... I've never seen such an amazing use of a synth. Just...incredible....
cotmm68030 - Very moody, and honestly theme accurate. I do love the ambient textures a lot, they really enhanced the experience. The drums were quiet to me, was conflicted on them, however i dig the rest though. Good job!
thesocialcontract - I'm a fan of the hopeful heroic melodic ideas here. The chords are lovely, and the drums were super hot, big fan of these strong beats. The melody is a bit forward for my liking, and the plucks were a bit...plucky, not so much blended. Taste is personal though. Still dig it, though, so good job!
Mushrooman - I have a on/off feeling with your style. On the one hand, i dig chiptune techno, and i do love the way you keep the energy in your tracks. However on the other hand, You really like to go for simplistic melodies, which never seem to match the drums, and man you really gotta ease up on the risers and swells. Like can you just chill with them risers haha. Good effort though!
Souperion - Always down for you to conduct some sweet orchestrations. This one has some beautiful stacked harmonies on here. The arrangement is rather nice though, and it works well. It is a little long for it's purpose, but overall i enjoyed it a lot. Well done!
A2Z - Some sweet plucked chords. I'm feeling that ambient house vibe. Extremely simple i must say, it feels like a start on something. I loved the vibe though. Good job!
Misael.K - My ears are in love with that deep bassline. The whole idea is incredible, but i feel it needs polish. The chords feel hollow to me, and could be more spaced out. The flute like melody, could be made into the main star, but get's lost in the background. Also for me, the drums felt like it was made more for rock, than ambient electronica, however the idea is still incredible though. Good job!
Arcana - Is that your voice dude? If so, super creative and works extremely nicely in this context. The drums and toms were excessively heavy and loud, it could benefit from a slight tone down in volume. Really my main focus, is to amplify just how good your voice, and string parts are, and maybe loosen the drums. That's just me though. Other than that, good job!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - DDR making Acid DnB? Say it ain't so lol. Well ok, it starts of more like Downtempo, then moves into DnB. The acid basses were mighty juice, and definitely the highlight. Long story short, this is awesome, and you've done a fine job. Excellent work! I really wanted to put you in the top 3, but i can't, i have such a limited choice. Sorry dude, your still amazing though...
Dex - I like that guitar a lot. Feels like in a way, it could have been a great solo guitar piece. Still like the rest though. The arrangement needs a bit of polish, the melodies are loud, and the drums are getting pushed down. However i do like this idea a lot. Good job!
NickC - Man there is a lot of orchestras in these OHC's. It might as well be the default style lol. This one is very rumbly, which i'm not sure if i'm into or not, it's odd to me. Also it's over way too quickly to get any developments out of it. Good effort though!
Wassup Thunder - Lush string arrangements, i'm really into them a lot, like, the strings were soo good. The arrangement is also excellent, like i love the way it flows...ok I'll be frank, how the hell, do the strings sound so good. Like the harmonies, the dynamics, the way it plays in the context of the orchestra...just amazing dude!
Ashka - Has every track you've made always been this good? Like i can't seriously stop saying how talented you are...your not even human. Like i listen to this, and i immediately think it's a Grade A professional completed track, it's soo good. And those harmonies, omg you are beyond amazing....
InvisibleObserver - Can i just say, i love your sound design. I think your effects, and manipulation is incredible. However there are some glitchy effects that are really loud and in your face. For once, i actually dig the beats here, groovy and not too loud, just the glitches. Good job though!
JH Sounds - I'm giving this an instant thumbs up, because it's Daft Punk. Awesome job on this!
Ethansight - Interesting intro there. Almost like a very distant reverb, as if it's from the edge of the mountains. Then there is a pause, and the track comes to life. I love the drums and the chords. I think you went a bit too hard on the reverb, it gets a bit loud in the melodies. However i love the idea, so not all is lost. Good job!
Top 3 - Ashka, Suzumebachi, Wassup Thunder.
Awesome - Suzumebachi, Souperion, DDRKirby(ISQ), Wassup Thunder, Ashka, JH Sounds.

Must Not Lose to Fear
DrumJ8
must not lose to fear
really liking the plucked string choices here and the movement of the arps against the static bass drone. really lovely instrumentation. minimal and evocative, a favorite combination of mine.
ripples
the warm pads against the cold lead creates a very stark contrast. I actually wrote something with almost the exact same pad sounds and interval movements like 20 years ago. caught me off guard when i first heard it.
sunset blues
I love watching you begin to develop an interest in writing music and performing. You are already crafting much more interesting things than I did at your age! It will take work and dedication to continue to improve, but you are starting from a great place. You have a natural ear for melody and a lovely voice, but always work to grow and get better. Even small steps forward are further than you were before you started.
lit view
your chaotic chiptune vibe grows on me the more i hear it. i don't even know what to say anymore. just keep doing you so we can enjoy it. 10/10.
wetty rockos
the bassline and intended psx aesthetic immediately takes me back to breath of fire 3, but then i think about getting lost in the desert and having to eat my pack animal and then restarting again and never actually making it across wait a minute what were we talking about? the instrument choices sound great together. 1998 psx vibe comes across well.
desolate shoreline
was a little rushed with this one since i spent some time with Lyra before hand. pro-tip: do not wait until the compo starts to try and teach someone fl studio. Chorus-y pads were recorded with whatever the onboard mic of my laptop are, since Lyra had taken my Yeti for her track. Chords were free-played on my mk3 with a little help from cthulhu. ocean-esque noises were a whitenoise layer on the bass-instrument that bounce-retriggered with a modwhile envelope controlling the cutoff. maybe one day i'll get tired of the zerogravity beats library, but it's been like 20 years and i'm still enjoying using them, so prolly not.
gmorning
instruments that swell and grow like that always start making me think about what possibilities there are with the different phases of growth triggering at different times and the harmonics stacking differently. by the time i'm done pondering that, the bassline and drums coming in have brought me back to focus on the melody. coupled with the gm-ish feel of the pads the melody makes me feel nostalgic about something i can't remember. the perfect feel for standing at the edge of the water.
wavefront wonders
really like when the more aggressive bass comes in. wish there was a little more movement within the chord instrument, even just a bit of phasing or something. the energy in the last section is great.
familiar tides
might be familiar to you, but feels a little exotic to me, and vaguely ominous, but no less pleasant.
dream shores
i didn't get to go on our yearly beach vacation last year, but i can dream of if i did. the slow introduction of elements here works well to build the groove. Nothing being introduced immediately takes over the entire feel of the track, with each new part feeling like it fits right in place.
near and far
kind of get a psx vibe from this one too. that flutey lead sounds quite delicate over the rich bass. love the chord choices here. the drums took me quite a few bars to feel the groove though, and even then it was a little weird. loved every other part of this though.
a throat song
aaaaah. really like the explosive drum bits. the texture created by the various choral elements is great.
crimson crevice
nrg, but laid back. really like the rapid notes on the wobble lead, and the little reverse percussion breaks are great. instead of meditation on the beach, this is what you need for running on this particular beach, which looks to be mildly treacherous.
night and day
kenny g joins a metal band? Like the juxtaposition of the two styles. very night and day.
seashore skirmish
i liked the seagull. Definitely felt like this was getting ready to go somewhere big.
having gone beyond
lots of pizzicato strings this week. they have a nice presence to them. might be my earbuds, but the strings feel maybe a little too thick for how delicate the rest of the instruments are. still very much a standing at the edge feel to it. the interludes speak pensive to me.
tide
the percussive attack on the first instrument really cuts through without getting in the way. sounds great versus that droning bassline. makes me think of the old amiga game Shadow of the Beast, but i can't remember why I think that. probably doesn't even have anything similar with it. memory is weird like that. These chimey-pads are so clear. really nice balance against the low end. nice.
arcadia
the deadline isn't shorter, people are just finishing more on time! half way through and the time signature weirdness hasn't jumped out at me, but maybe i'm not listening critically enough. peaceful progressions. the acid bass at the end made me smile.
stones with open shutter lense water and sunset
i like this title. stuff that feels chaotic like this speaks to me. love the feel of those swelling lines, feels like they come out of nowhere, get big, then fall away. little waves splashing on a rock.
something about us
solid. it's not my cup of tea but it's very well put together. liked the arp line running through suddenly coming together with the lead toward the end.
mountain shores
the chord movement after the break is so good. seeing how long the track is i'm immediately sad it won't go on longer and get huge and stuff. great building. happy 100th compo.
