Glittering Lights had some incredible syncopation and development of arpeggios along with gorgeous ambiance.
deep cave was pretty sick yo
The Mine Of Hell had really tight and thick mixing, very satisfying to listen through.

@Misael.K - Has DarkShadow ever paid a visit, since his first submission? I've wondered if he's ever talked to you or anything.....
@Ashka - Define Untz. There is DnB, so guess Drum and Untz lol.
@Misael.K - It's sad i know, i think you guys are awesome. But i can't listen to music at 4am, i need my sleep. I literally upload, and it's straight to bed, that's it. The reason why I do this, is for the awesome feedback.....
@Arcana - I think you guys have expectations of me, when it comes to my entrants, like you know what i'm going to give you lol.
@Skye - There is a syncopated sub bass, so i don't understand what you are saying?
@CotMM - I like that analogy. Might use it in future.
@Arcana - The obligatory this sounds like this video game reference lol.
@Ashka - Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
@Dex - Full of surprises my dude...
@Misael.K - I really need to catch up on my OST's. I would never imagine it sounding like Final Fantasy...
@InvisbleObserver - Very subtle, but very worthwhile. 303's can spice up any party...
@Misael.K - Piano and Reverb is the ultimate combo. I wholeheartedly agree.
@Souperion - Hidden track from an album more like lol.
@Misael.K - Saturation huh? I guess the beats are quite heavy. 1 hour can go by very quickly.....
@Ashka - Very faint B part more like. I was close to just having it repeat for a bit. But that would be repetitive...
@InvisibleObserver - To be frank, if you were to suddenly be absent for a few minutes, and you eventually return, you would not even be a quarter into my track haha....
@Arcana - I mostly relied on the chords. The piano is merely a texture thing, but that's up for interpretation. I think in these kinds of tracks, the long sustained pad chords become the function of the piece. It is ambient music after all....
@InvisibleObserver - I believe in this one, there is 2 amen breaks. I'm not sure i added any kicks or anything. I do agree with this statement though.
@Suzums - It also reminds me a bit of Deus Ex, i don't know why....
@Ashka - Oh wow, that's a really bold statement to say, thank you so much.....
@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!
Now then....
TheVideoGamer - The theme is another one of them images i always adore. These kinds of areas, with bright lights, lots of tranquil colours and a whole load of sparkle are my favourites. I need more images like these, i can't get enough. This track began with a long drawn out pad, as do with a lot of these types of tracks. The major difference being i get to try out some new plugins with new sounds. I topped it with a few other pad layers for a thick texture, followed by a sub-bass and of course the main event, a DnB break. I could have gone for full ambient, to be fully accurate, but i felt like i wanted to switch it up, so there we go. Other elements are mostly to enhance the beat, such as the 303 and the noise sweeps. There isn't really a melody, just a piano thing with delay. That is because, the main focus is the pad sounds. Who knew this would end up being not only my best entrant, but the best for many people too....
cotmm68030 - I really dig the theme accuracy. This is super fitting to the theme. The dog whines were pretty cool too, you managed to turn an everyday annoyance into a rather lovely texture. The reverb usage was awesome too. Well done!
DarkShadow - I think you excel at your best, when it's less than a minute.....
Souperion - Really nice drums here, lovely balance between orchestral and electronic elements. I like the hidden guitar in their too. I didn't really notice any problems with the dynamics, other than maybe the drums were a little consistent, however though I honestly enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. Well done!
thesocialcontract - Rather pretty, definitely into the arp a lot. I do like the guitar, it seems to bring a bit contrast to the arp. Not into the sync lead personally, and it could do with a more fuller beat, but it's nice. Also i'm super relieved you managed to get through Covid, it's a strange time we are living in. Good job!
Mushrooman - Ya wanna ease up on the transitions there? It's like the beat is getting destroyed by the risers and effects. Really nice idea, but the drums are way too chaotic, for what sounds like it should be a straight forward techno vibe. Again though, the transitions man were a bit...much. Good job!
Wassup Thunder - Great orchestral pallet. The guitar was also a nice addition, it turns it from someone like er...John Williams into Ennio Morricone. It's like it's trying to be rock and orchestral at the same time, which works. Well done!
Arcana - Woow that melody is pretty dope, i love it. The effects and transitions really paid off. You know i actually think this is pretty nicely done, the strings are lovely, and the beat is really nicely compressed. Well done!
SkyeWint - Starts of simple, and honestly boring, but when the whole thing comes together oh boy, it's awesome. I love the drums here man, it's such a vibe. (Also how sweet was that pitch rise into the drums, unexpected and worth while) Well done!
Ashka - Your the only person to convince me that what i heard was not the tempo i thought it was. You literally messed with my brain for a full minute. I kept thinking it was a different time signature lol. I really cannot begin to tell you how talented you are. I'm not gonna say anything other than....just....impeccable.....
Starla - Digging the piano and beats. Also really digging your awesome vocal harmonisation (Man i just love the harmonisation...) Well done!
GLL - Ya left a tail there dude lol. Your musical always gives me that early to mid 2000's dance music, that always comes on T.V I really dig this beat man, it needs to be expanded, it's a bit short. Also your voices needs to blend in a bit more, but that's just me. Good job!
Vinsfield_ - This is most theme accurate in terms of melodic ideas. It definately feels like this is on the big screen at some museum light show thing. The pad sounds are amazing. I always spot a good pad when i see it. Simple developments, but very solid. Well done!
InvisibleObserver - I pick upon things that are really striking, and the one thing that strikes me with your entrants, is you like to mix your drums rather loudly and aggressively. I like me some loud drums sure, but it always seems to be against very quiet melodies (Hence the loudness) This is just me though. Good job!
Misael.K - I am always fascinated by your melodic writing, you seem to really go for some pretty unique chord choices. I don't know what the drums are doing man, they seem to be falling behind....by a lot. Timing issues are extremely rife here. But the melodies are super nice, like really good. Good job!
Suzumebachi - 10/10 for the piano. In fact forget the rest, i'm giving you marks on the geourgous piano playing on it's own.....
NickC - Pretty chimes here. The beat is seriously strong, and definitely a head bop. The melody is very warm too, i love the pads here. The ending...is.....er...something. I think i'll just focus on the first half lol.... Well done!
jessiejames1978 - Had to increase my volume for this. It's very quiet....and ominous, so there is a benefit to that. I don't know, the extreme quietness almost made it feel like more was coming, yet it wasn't. Good job though!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - I always have a hard time associating chiptune with ice caves, it feels a little too...different than what i would associate with (And maybe too much high energy). However though, i could not sit still for this one. Your tracks are always groovy man, and such fun to listen to! So that flips it on it's head. Well done!
Dex - I like this side of Dex. I think you should explore it more. The piano and chiptune lead combo is well done. The glide in the melody gets points too. Well done!
Ethansight - DAAMM THIS IS SUPER FUNKY! The sidechain is incredible (The kick is just...super punchy and awesome), it's sooo funky man. The pads are just amazing, like beyond amazing. Between you and Ashka man, i had a hard time deciding, but wow this was just amazingly done.
KATHEDRAL - Argubly the most theme accurate of the whole bunch. I said Vinsfield_ was the most accurate, but that's in terms of transcribing it into melody, not so much as actually sound. Like this is what i would hear if i was in a cave. I mean not in this exact sense, it's kind of impossible, but i would imagine it. I picked this as number 3, because the sound design is incredible. It could be Paul's Sound Stretch for all i know, but i dug it a lot. Awesome work man!
JH Sounds - Really nicely done as always.
