DarkShadow had the interesting microtonal elements but I think the sound design with the FM-like sounds brought this one to a new level.
cotmm: I really liked the crunchy distortion guitar sound throughout and the really crispy drums.
Elias: This is cute. I like the tremolo effect that you get in your songs from the tracker. Maybe a melody with less rhythmic changes would help improve this, something to try out!
mv: I liked the mood here. Very chill and tech. Good sound design, it's very classic. This is tasty. I voted for this.
nukage: Very intense and loud throughout. The break was really good - perfect way to calm down and make the next part more intense. I would have liked to hear some of the lyrics without the kick-snare more I think. The second drop is cool but I think a little less loud than some of the preceding kick/snares. Very nice overall. No room to add this to voting.
ethansight: This is bouncy and catchy, the lead is great.
MisaelK: The lead sound is really cool. I think the noise hits in the background masked the lead a little too much though.
NickC: These are dense pads. Really nice. Nice development and cool layers. The echoed voices with gates are mysterious and interesting.
ashka: The 3 over 4 is really cool. It's chill and has some subtle development. It's almost ambient. The scale change in the middle was creepy but cool.
TVG: A lot of stuff going on here sound-wise. I like the idea, but the same story (coming across a room with music playing) was told a little too often, would be good to have more variety to keep the story going.
Atmospherium: This is crispy and creepy. Really nicely written. I found the lyrics a little loud still but I like the ideas. The monotone delivery to an interesting rhythm is great. I would have liked to vote for this.
Suzu: I really enjoyed this, it was unique and interesting and stood out this week, so adventurous and exciting and fresh. Good job. I voted for this.
DDRKirby: The complexity and volume of these lyrics are really impressive. You keep good time in your rap and it's catchy. The delivery is a little deadpan, but it might be on theme ("Terminal, I've got no emotion"). I would have liked to vote for this.
starla: The vocals are really addictive. Beats are nice, I really like the house chords too. I would have liked to vote for this.
Dex: This intense. Mortal Kombat for sure. I would have liked to vote for this.
obScene: You create really cool melodies. I liked the mixture of melodic elements and frantic rhythmic elements including drums and the noise hit. I voted for this.
LunacyEcho: ALL ABOARD THE SPACESHIP GRANT IT'S BRIGHT CHEERY FUN!
johnfn: THE SPACESHIP GRANT CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP!
jhsounds: This is really nicely done. I thought the guitars in the background were actually a little too distorted since this was so folksy but the juxtaposition of the folksy tune and style and a starship was actually a really good visual. I would have liked to vote for this.

@obScene - Lol, that's pretty funny.
@DDRKirby(ISQ) - It could be any soundtrack to be honest. This could be Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo, Deus Ex, Half-Life, Portal etc. I could go on...
@Misael.K - Buzz Lightyear except he's in a Sci-Fi horror show haha.
@DDRKirby(ISQ) - I've never thought about pitching, I was too invested in accuracy lol.
@Arcana - Yep it sure is sound design. Most of the stuff you hear, was actually ripped from YouTube. The drones are synths, and the songs used are what's lying around on my system currently.
@DDRKirby(ISQ) - Any more video games? I mean there's a whole list, that has elements similar to my track.
@Johnfn - Wanted to make the place, a little more lively. I wasn't picking any specific dialogue, I just happened to YouTube some interviews, to make it seem like a general conversation.
@Suzums - I'm afraid theme accuracy means no vapourwave. I apologise if I offended anyone haha.
@Johnfn - It's actually a scanner. I'm trying to give valid reasons, to how he would enter a room.
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Lol I guess you can call it a cute sound....
@Suzums - If your that invested, I'll make a vapourwave track next week.
@Misael.K - "Those constant steps can be a beat" - Why do you have to ruin everything? :P Haha.....
@Ethansight - I'm glad you like the walk. He is a busy man, doing what he can. Lol.
@Arcana - The steps are actually a 15-20 second audio file, looped till the end. I just dragged it, best I can. My goal was more the structure, than the individual sounds themselves.
@Ashka - The dude's busy. He has a spaceship to maintain, he can't be doing fusion at 2am haha...
@LunacyEcho - *chuckle*
@Atmospherium - Yes. That'd be Tom Cruise...
@Misael.K - Or you know...he could be apart of the conversations. He is a maintenance guy after all....
@LunacyEcho - *Whistles*
@Johnfn - Wherever you want the ship to take you lol. I'm surprised you think Koekepan, he uses less sound effects, than my track.
@Misael.K - I guess the maintenance guy can fix the noisy ship.
DDRKirby(ISQ) - "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down...."
@Misael.K - If only....except it's 2am, and I only had an hour. Maybe a medley of old entrants might work, for next week.
@Starla - lol, I'm surprised I even get my entrant in, and it's just a regular track. If I were to add in this week's tracks, I'd end up being last, and really tired haha, but it would be a fun idea, so don't disregard it...
@Everyone - Thanks for the oh so kind words. Man look at all these replies. The replies take more room than the actual voting lol.
WHEEEEW This was the most replies i've ever done in a OHC vote.
TheVideoGamer - For this one, i wanted to make it as theme accurate as i could. It depicts a maintenance man walking through a spaceship, on inspection. Throughout is various music pieces, with atmospheric reverb to give it's character. It also includes, sound effects of walking, and doors opening, as well as synthscapes to enhance and create the atmosphere. Oh and voices too, because why not add to the already dark feel. I really like this a lot, because it feels very much real. Glad you enjoyed it.
DarkShadow - I really like the grooves/intensity in this one. Good job!
cotmm68030 - Ooh this is cool, it's very noisy and Nine Inch Nails like, except less melody, and more distorted textures. I don't usually listen to this kind of music, but i really digging the sounds, and the effort! Well done!
Elias561 - The triplets are a nice touch. Personally it feels like it doesn't know where to go, but i really appreciate the time in this, and the sounds were cool. Good job!
mv - Ok seriously, i was taking a long time into deciding between you and my regular Ashka. This is just....beautiful. I had to think what makes one better than the other, so i think i might put you two as joint first. Largely because the pads and textures are just...soooo good. The only complaint being, increase the drums a bit, but this one is very nit-picky. Excellent dude!!
nukage - My man Nukage making some good ol' Dubs and Wubs. Well done!
ethansight - Funkaaay. As a groove....perfect, yet as a track, it's a bit too short, and could be developed into one heck of an experience. Short track aside....the groove was really good. Well done!
Misael.K - Loving the melody ideas in this, and the beats are massive. Sadly though, the lead chosen ends up getting masked as a distorted texture, than a full blown melodic line. Shame, there is so much potential. Still liked it a lot though, good job!
NickC - Wooooow this is good, like really really good. If Ashka and MV are joint first. i'd make this the real 3rd place winner. The chords are really good, and the beats fit super well. Just awesome dude!
Ashka - I wouldn't put you at the top, if i didn't think you were superhuman. Your a robot, a machine.....your too good, even for the best composer on this compo. MV nearly knocked you off, because both have really amazing vibes. The glichy sound effects really pair up with the incredible sawtooth plucks, with just...amazing melodic ideas. I had to have you two as joint first.
Arcana - Some really interesting ideas going on here. Especially digging the synths. Personally the mix needs a bit of attention, get's a bit loud at the end, however the result was really nice, so good job!
Atmospherium - Ok your voice is crazy good, i really like how it blends with the track. The way the backing track flows, can get a bit....how shall i say it without sounding like an arse....let's say piercing. You have some kind of distorted drum glissando, that i wasn't feeling. Rest was lovely though, your voice is crazy good, works well. Good job!
Suzumebachi - I dig this orchestra, it speaks to me. Second half could have been developed out of two chords, if your going for some old-school classical composer....but as it is, well done!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - I don't think DDR realizes how good of a rapper he is. Like the bars were seriously strong, dope stuff! Well done!
starla - Always down for a sick Starla vibe. Well done!
Dex - I appreciate the breakdown, really brings it to life, with fresh-air. Very aggressive Dex stuff, like it a lot. Well done!
obScene - Man this is weirdly soothing, but also very raw, almost like someone wanting to shout into the microphone. Industrial ambient...i'm into it a lot. Well done!
LunacyEcho - Ok i didn't get the reference until the end. I thought holy crap....this dude made this, it sounds soo catchy. The reference didn't ruin the track, it actually made it stronger. Still loving the sounds, awesome work!
johnfn - The voice and piano combo works like a charm, however it takes the backing track to really emphasise it, otherwise it could have been a little...er...hollow. Digging this, well done!
JH Sounds - I think Lynyrd Skynyrd wants to have a chat with you haha. I don't think you intentionally did it, just me comparing. Really like this a lot, well done!
Top 3 - Ashka, MV, LunacyEcho
Now the top 2 are so incredible, i made them joint first. So LunacyEcho would be second, and NickC would be the real 3rd place.
Awesome - cotmm68030, mv, Nukage, Ethansight, NickC, Ashka, Suzumebachi, DDRKirby(ISQ), Starla, Dex, obScene, LunacyEcho, johnfn, JH Sound.
