Coral I noticed the composition consists of two relatively quiet phrases followed by one louder phrase. You did a good job creating this dynamic structure.

DarkShadow I like the ominous chords and dissonance. The synths are good. I would like to hear more separation between the instruments.

Cotmm I like the reverb and the bass synth. The song is very soothing.

Silverppol Listening to this made me feel like I was in the world of Terraria.

Ashka The piano playing is beautiful. I like the slow attack pads - the sound design is superb. I think the lead could be a little louder.

Nukage I like the pluck synth.

Starla Your vocals are lovely. The chords and instrumentation effectively convey beach vibes. I think a simple cadence to the tonic would be a little better than the fade out ending.

Arcana I like the variety between the sections.

Obsene I like the mixing and effects. You followed the theme well. I think it would be nice if the bpm were a little higher.

TheVideoGamer I love the playing of the main synth. Its expression is like that of a piano performance.

Misael The reverb is so lush and the hi hats are so crisp. The sound design is excellent. The drums dont seem to fit well at times.

DDDRKirby I love the expression of the leads. The melodies are fantastic (and some of them sound familiar). The mixing is great considering you made this in one hour; my only gripe is that the high-end sounds boosted too much. I like the use of white noise to mimic beach waves.

Jarski I like the rhythm and the cowbell!

Dex This reminds me of Moo Moo Meadows from Mario Kart Wii. I like the variety of musical styles.

Johnfn This is relaxing. Your use of percussion is excellent as usual.

Lunacyecho I wrote a review on ng.

Greyhooves This sounds creepy indeed. I like the chaotic vibe.

JH Sounds Nice guitar playing!

putting jeux d'eau in first because it's the first time i've ever done an ohc sync listen and really thought "this sounds so incredibly different from anything i've ever heard before; it's straight-up making me think differently about music"

@Everyone - Yes that is a Ravel cover. The piece is Jeux D'eau, which translates to Water Games. Probably one of my favourite compositions from Ravel, and maybe one of my all time favourite classical compositions ever. (That is, if you count it as one. I know it's Baroque and all that shizz)

@Arcana - I do, otherwise i wouldn't be replying to you right now. Do remember i'm from England, so it's like pretty late (Tell me 2 in the morning is not late). Why do i do this? Feedback is pretty legit, and i likes that lol (And maybe because i have too much inspiration haha)

@DDRKirby(ISQ) - You are correct, it is the Think about It break. However in this one i used the Funky Drummer break (Both done by James Brown). I know my breakbeats, because i use them, a lot. Maybe too much lol.

@Misael.K - Thanks for the kind words, about the votes.

@LunacyEcho - It's pretty much a piano MIDI, but with an arrangement by me. Took me 10 minutes though to find one that actually fits the grid, which i don't know why, i guess they played it on a keyboard/piano. Oh well.

TheVideoGamer - Like i said this is a Ravel cover, and it was mainly chosen because of it's resemblance to water, which this image had. I wasn't having any luck with decent melodies, so that's when Ravel came to mind. Took me a good chunk to find a decent MIDI to fit the grid, and another good chunk, to have everything fit, without it sounding off. Tempo changes are crazy, i only realised that, the next day when i started to listen to all of your tracks.

Coral - BOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSs

DarkShadow - HARDCOREEEEE. For me, this is your hardest entrant to date. It's like Gabber, but with a beat missing every now and again. Chords are really something, and the mix leaves a little to be desired, however though, good job!

cotmm68030 - Took me a while to realise it was improvised, i thought this was some serious lyrics writing. The backing beat was fire, really atmospheric and dark, but with a groove, and the vocals were nicely mixed. Well done!

Silverpool64 - I'd say my favourite from you, in this compo. Love the melodic elements, and the nice beats. The minimalism works quite well too. Well done!

Ashka - Have you ever made a track that sucks? lol. Your killing it man. The ambience and the piano is awesome! It's just...well produced. Excellent work dude!

Nukage - Awesome dubstep from the master as usual. Well done!

Starla - I was literally fighting between you and Ashka. Yours is incredible, but so is Ashka's. I usually put Ashka at number one, and even though i didn't want to this time, because i always do, his was too awesome not to. The chords and vocals are awesome in this one though, so for the sake of my sanity, you and Ashka are joint first. Ok? Excellent work!

Arcana - Your description is pretty much bang on. Love the idea though, the mix however was uneven. Good job!

obScene - The melodies were the main selling point for 3rd place, and the beats were unique to your style. It does feel like everything is stretched though, however granted experimentation is useful, so i liked it more than usual. Awesome work!

Misael.K - Melodic ideas are awesome, however the mix is sadly loud, and honestly, hollow too. Still vibing to the melodies though, so good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - DDR showing us how the simplest of ideas can sound fire. Really like how the Mario references work better than i anticipated. Well done this was great!

Jarski - Not gonna lie, unfitting to the theme. But to say i didn't vibe out, is an understatement. Groovy man well done!

Dex - Pirate metal? I'm into this a lot, but i feel like it needs a better bass presence, and maybe more refinement in the mixing. Still love the idea, good job!

UsableCone - Is everything detuned? Or am i hearing things? Oh well, i'm loving the melodies here. Some proto-styled kids T.V show theme. Well done!

johnfn - Did you add reverb? Cheater! lol. I don't really know what to think, because the melodies are awesome, but the samples are short. However the SNES was noted for it's short samples, so i don't really want to complain in that sense. Whatever it was dope, well done!

LunacyEcho - Take out the vocals, and it becomes a car insurance commercial haha. Your killing the Ska vibe, it was dope as hell. Sadly brass feels too artificial for my liking, but the rest was great, so well done!

GreyHooves - Nice range of sounds here. Very simple, but it was nice so good job!

JH Sounds - A bit of a weird contrast from last time. The guitar sounds very artificial. Almost like a robot. OHC 606 however had some really nice guitar playing, but this feels more static. Were both MIDI or real guitar? Good job though!

Top 3 - Ashka, Starla, obScene

Ashka and Starla are joint first. So if there were to be a true 3rd place, it would be DDRKirby(ISQ), for his sick Mario styled composition.

Awesome - cotmm68030, Silverpool64, Ashka, Nukage, Starla, obScene, DDRKirby(ISQ), Jarski, UsableCone, Johnfn, LunacyEcho

Needs Work - Coral, DarkShadow, Arcana, Misael.K, Dex, GreyHooves, JH Sounds.

LunacyEcho: good ska? fun vocals? and even puns? that's illegal.

obScene: the slowdown effect seems very well aligned with the tilt-shift effect.

UsableCone: very interesting work, the instruments felt very real and the mood is a curious mix of epic-ness and drama.

Lunacy - the lyrics are bananas, did you spend most of the hour looking up bodies of water or do you just already have an encyclopedia up there

DDR - impressive remix, much nostalgia

cotmm - more crazy vocal talent, made up on the spot you say? excellent bass in this too
