I went for sonic polish and relevance in equal measure, with a bonus for the lyrics because they add so much to the track.

Miyolophone: very nice composition, I really liked the instrumentation too

Johnfn: Beats or not, the mix is still very nice

Takeshi63 I don't know why, but this made me think of one of the endings of Chrono Trigger. Floating off on a balloon with the fireworks going off. simple, but I liked it

1) "Fireworks Party" - You need to stop making sense in your works, because this is smashing. Okay, that was a joke. This still is pretty awesome, though. I love the movement, and those goofy synths. There's a bit of party, bit of explosion.

2) "Party on the Beach" - Loving the chips and the energy! This kind of fizzles out near the last portion, but the first two thirds or so are pretty solid.

3) "Starry Dream" - I love the dreamy, yet outdoor peaceful feeling. I sense a peaceful gathering.

the dark night sky has interesting sound design and composition choices, but what really put it ahead for me was the fact that it felt complete. It's a really tricky thing to pull off (esp in the time limit) and even though I really liked the composition of This Year's Fireworks and Starry Dream, neither of them felt like they were done when they finished playing, so I'm putting them as 2nd and 3rd.

Happy New Year everyone! sorry I couldn't participate.

Random-storykeeper: vocals! Great melodies, great singing, and great lyrics.

Takeshi63: oooooh, very pretty! Awesome chords and melodies. You've improved a lot since you last participated. Keep it up! I only wish this entry was longer, please expand it if you can.

Miyolophone: sounds like a bittersweet goodbye song, in a "I'm sad they're gone, but happy for the time we spent together". Great job!

johnfn: the arps and the trance-y stabs reflect well the fireworks theme. Great work overall.

WoodblockP: welcome to OHC! I liked the sounds in this, the distorted percussion and the soft-released arps go together very well. Hope to see you next time.
