A lot of solid songs this week with strong melodies and ambience but I had to choose these three for their development.

What a rich platter of music.

NickC captured the two pictures best, in contrasting elements of his work.

obScene's soundscape was fantastic, although I thought that the introduction of the bass was a little bit distracting.

Lucinate was less directly thematic with respect to the crypt, but still made an excellent play for the other theme, with beautifully controlled sounds.

1) "Lost and found" - NickC pumped the heck out of intensity and atmosphere in this round. I love the different percussive sounds, and adore the use of piano in this. The chord progression towards the end is awesome.

2) "Goodbye" - The pacing's just right in this. A very immersive piece, and tragic as well.

3) "Infinite Decay" - The glitchy computerised feeling I get from this is unique. Definitely feels like a decay. It's one of the more intriguing entries of this round.

Honourable mentions to "Dead" (which only REALLY got good in the second half), "Everything Is Random, Nothing Is By Chance", "Mirror Abyss" and "Carry Me Home". So...basically everyone who didn't get a vote? I did like all the entries this week. :P
