Everyone did a good job this week though. Good interpretation. I love urban themes.

Arcana just perfectly captured it somehow, to my ears.

JohnStacy's jazz was pretty well-executed, and certainly appropriate to some of the imagery.

BrenTen provided a very urban-sounding, polished result. Good entry.

Really...good entries this week.

1) "Urban Shanghai" - I really love music that incorporates Chinese elements into it, and this was an interesting approach.

2) "Dim Streets" - Dang, the chord progression is great. I love when it proceeds to the major seventh chord. As are the beat and syncopation...very good.

3) "Bap bap badabadabadaht daht" - I think jazz is a perfect fit for a city at night. Something about the mixing seems a bit off - like the bass needs to be boosted or something, but maybe that's just me.
