The competition this week was nothing short of savage. Relevance was key, as was decent form, with clean endings.

Entrancing Rain was a nice, polished piece of work all around, and narrowly squeaked out Droplet Dance - also excellent, with a solid resolution at the end. Coming in at a hard-fought third place is Puddled Paths, with a cheerful, upbeat take on the forest scene.

RSK: You nailed it
Sci: Yeah somehow it works too. Definitely captures the larger aspects
Nick: Gets super epic towards the end, but I can roll with that

Hate I missed this week. Don't know what it is about Thursday that's makes me forget. But I did make up for it and do 2HTS!

Anyway. Great job all.

A2Z: Theme perfection but ridiculously short.

Sci: Amazing how a staccato from A2Z and and long sustained chords from you can both represent the same thing so well. This reminded me of Funki Porcini. Awesome!

Koekepan: You cheater you used water sounds lol. Great for theme

Misael K.: Now both staccato and sustain combine and it works perfectly.

NickC: Squaresoft would be proud of your rain interpretation.

Random-storykeeper: Flightwings secret rain level?

A2Z: very magic indeed. Lovely arps. Kinda wished this exploded into dnb, but it does build up nicely. Needs to be longer!

sci: a lovely mashup of old sci and new sci. Great work!

Arcana: Good soundscape and atmosphere. I really liked how dense it felt.

NickC: Like sci said in the chat, this sounds very Hiroki Kikuta like. A lot of magic, and some great sounds.

Note to self: be earlier when voting.

1) "Droplet Dance" - I love how this manages to incorporate dance elements into the theme. That bass is great, but what really gets to me is the slight jazz-blues inflections in the repeated melody. oooo

2) "The Temple of Water" - Loving the atmospheres and how you can create something spiritual sounding without an aliens element to it. Not that there's anything wrong with extraterrestrial sounds, etc, I just didn't get that from this week's theme.

3) "Drops of Magic" - Gosh this sounded so...perfect and the layers being added were absolutely beautiful. But just when it began to get good, it ended. :( :( :(

Also liked: "natural rain washes away your sins when needed" and "Refrain From Complaining Under Water". Both were strong contenders.
