all welcome newcomer ACT! once he's twice as fast he's going to make some siiick entries.

Misael.K's use of the vocal software was great. It felt like a real song.

NickC gave a rhythmically satisfying look at the weirdness inside - not as flashy as Misael.K's, but very good.

Random-Storykeeper has that lovely video game aesthetic down for this one, and its romantic connotations come through beautifully. Not as sophisticated, and the end could use a bit more punch, but I was taken straight back to hot nights playing the PSX.

There were other entries that were solid, except for weak endings. The top three could easily have looked very different.

1) "We Are Nothing" - This is both grand and lovely, gotta love those little panned slides and those odd wobbly vocals. I'm curious as to how this would have sounded without so much of an autotuned voice and an actual singer.

2) "It is not the probing I mind so much as the giggling" - Really beautiful, and also very grand. I love the subtlety of how grand the atmosphere is though. The use of alienesque sounds felt very suitable for the entirety of this piece.

3) "Stars and water are both cool and so is this song" - Out of all the piano/chiptune entries, this one felt the most complete and blended the piano, chiptune videogamey sounds together really well. I love that instrument that comes near the end; it's very nostalgic. This could be longer and more developed, but I think it's good for what it is.

"Look at the Stars" comes in a close fourth, but it ended right where it was supposed to build up! D:

Shitbird: at first I wasn't sure about this, as the combination between hard rock and chip was iffy IMO. But that great progression and those great melodies convinced me. In a way, this reminds me of Anamanaguchi and Hige Driver.

ACT: this is too cute! I'm feeling melancholic already. Too bad it's so short!

A-zu-ra: while I think this needs some closure (or rather, release), this is still very nicely done, and very pretty.
