These seemed like the top candidates for a good match to the concept.

There were some excellent other candidates, with honourable mention to dusthillguy, who would have been in the top three but for his abortive opening.

elecellopet - I like this one; just with the percussion and the cheeriness of it all. It's also short and to the point, so nice stuff. I love the panned horn effects, which to me, simulate the elephants.

African Dream - Dang, this music is photographic. I just thought of nature footage out in the savanna, with elephants walking, which is exactly what the theme calls for. It's the percussion and that continuum with the xylophone (?) that gives it that real "open plains" feel. And to manage eight minutes is impressive, though most of that length is given to lots of repetition.

trapped in africa? - It's hilarious. I nearly lost it when the chants started playing. And the way the harmonies clash only add to the silliness of the piece.

A lot of very interesting entries this week. I ended up voting using the theme, since there were a lot of awesum entries.

InvisibleObserver: fantastic! nails the theme, and hits a good spot. Yes, right there, yesss.

Koekepan: this is Africa. No doubt about that. Good sounds. This is also Blade Tunner and I dig this a lot.

Hollow: very theme-accurate, imo. I feel like I'm walking across the savanna.
