Boy, what a tough round. Took me a couple of hours to really wring out the candidates.

Honourable mentions include Jarski - great dance tune, but not very on-topic. Bubble Bath was also good, but seemed incomplete. Bleh thing also had a lot going for it, but limited complexity and it also seemed incomplete.

Honestly, there were no real losers in this batch. I found something to like about every one of them. It came down to on-topic relevance as the first filter, and finally which I found most sonically appealing.

This was a pretty awesome theme, and more than double the amount of entries from last week! Good stuff.

Votes:

"bleh thing" - It really captures the theme of "microscopic"ness for me, which I believe is in close relation to the theme. It sounds almost...pentatonic, and I do enjoy listening to that.

"time slows down" - Very nice, feel-good music. Kind of reminds me of a combination of Owl City synths mixed with DDRKirby's chiptunes.

"Drops" - I like the accompaniment in this, and the watery percussion. The only issue I had was with the melody; for me, the instrumentation choice didn't really fit in with the rest of the piece, but hey, that's probably just on me.

----

Other considerations (It was a tough choice this week):

"The Microscopic Underwater World" - Heh, the description pretty accurately matches the level of fun happiness achieved in this work.

"Bubble Bath" - Great sounds and chords. It felt more like a winter piece to me for some reason. :P

"Rain Drops" - I like this one; it's content and mellow. It captures more of the feeling of being underwater than water droplets for me. Might be those overlaying higher notes.

OMG, such great entries this week!

johnfn: I'm in love with this. dem 5 last notes of each phrase! nnnnngg.

Forty-Two: great sounds, great composition. Very uplifting.

NickC: some chords here, eh! this feels so very very dark.

Is the joke about dusthillguy's song that the description is "Sorry it's short." and the song just says "PENIS" over and over again?
