A shit ton of great tracks this time around, hard to pick, but these stood out as the most epic of the epics.

First place goes to BrandonS: Just an awesome song for that short time, and I might be a bit biased about the style you chose because I really love it. Awesome guitar playing too!

Second place goes to ChristianSandviknes: Loved the mood of this one. It might not be technically perfect and clips sometimes, but the overall mood really gives the exact feeling you described.

Third place goes to DDRKirbyISQ: Great "hive" mood (if it is a hive in space) - seriously love the production and groove of this one, especially since it reminds me of some good tracks from Descent. Also it is pretty long. Solid work!

Fourth place goes to melody: Even if it is not really fitting the theme (doesn't sound too buggy at all) it is a very nice laid out and thoroughly composed song. Great work on the mood, could be a water/forest/bugs stage from an older Gradius game :)

DDR - This song is epic, it just keeps getting better as it goes along.

Liquid - I love these atmospheric songs. I agree with the comparisons that were made to FF7 during the listening party

Usa - The guitar is awesome, it reminds me of some 60's or bluesy rock music.

The first place: This is interestingly a song I wasn't able to properly deduce how much I enjoyed, due to the very stark contrasts between the vocal and the chip-tune instrumentation - even so, the production-value was high - and the structure in the music was very well coerced considering the very short timespan we had.

The second place:
I feel that this song had also a rather high production-value, as well as having a very good feeling in accordance with the theme set, and I genuinely liked the direction of his interpretation.

The third place:
This song had a very upbeat rhythm, and in general it captured the essence of what I'd try to include if I was to take the song in the same direction. I really enjoyed this tune.

Christian wrote the soundtrack to that scene from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids from the ant's point of view.

JH made me see cockroaches boogie on a windowsill in the moonlight.

Brandon stayed as far away as possible from the "bugs as creepy" direction. It may not evoke the theme as strongly as some of the others, but it's both well put together and quite pleasing to listen to.

Special mention to melody's epic journey through self-pleasure. I found it very hard to attach it to the theme, other than the "the day after" bit in the description, otherwise it would have easily made my top three.
