bjkmenu: Well, there's really not much I can say...from the beginning, I knew it was gonna be interesting...and it delivered. Awesome job, man.

Cyril: While I wasn't expecting much at first, I quickly realized that the production level was great. Interesting to listen to...if only just because of the lyrics. :P

Cyril gets first place because when I picture his song being performed live, it would be totally badass to be there and even more badass to play it.

Second would be The Shaggy Freak. Love the drum build and the transtition @ 25 seconds. Its pretty badass, and so is the song, in a mischevious sort of way. Great guitar line for the theme.

JakeSnake17 wins third, I felt pretty badass listening to his song, for reasons that I cannot describe beyond mentioning the drums are pretty neat.


Altogether, I really liked a lot of these songs, however None of them really felt totally full on badass to me. A lot of the songs could have done well for different themes IMO.

Haven't been compo-ing for a while. This round reminded me nicely of the good ol' times. ;)
I'm a bit lost for word before the display of talent presented here, so I'll be brief...

1st place - melody:
Simply beautiful, and I guess badass too, in its own way.
Loved the choice of instruments, the upright tone of the song, and the happy retro-synth vibe from the PSX era.
I'll be listening to that one for a long long time...

2nd place - Flik:
Yeah, I just can't resist to that flute, you know that.
It's like a secret weapon that's not really secret anymore ...but still deadly. And thus pretty badass! XD
I'll pray for the safe rest of your recorder and mouse man.

3rd place - starla:
"Monstruous: Exceptionally large; enormous. Deviating greatly from the norm in appearance or structure."
That should sums it up. I was surprised by that song, it's fairly uncommon, and very badass.
If it wasn't for the shortness and abrupt ending, I would have put in in second place.
Yet, if that's the kind of thing awaiting us in the album, I can't wait.

Comments on some of the other tracks:

-JakeSnke17: awesome groove going on as usual. That's a trademark right here. ;)
-Oinkness: this was a bit more than just music. You were telling a story here. Nicely done.
-theshaggyfreak: very interesting funk-rock song, with fun moment and an unforgetable bassline.
-Obtuse: kudos for managing to emulate the Just64Helpin audio-engine so successfully.
-ella guru: most effective ear-raping ever. Now I won't be able to make music for a decade thanks to you! ;p

I really liked Obliteration man, The Evil Psychopaths took a bit to get used to, but they were great

Quite liked some of the things these guys did that seems a bit less from their norm.

Brens piece had a doom music sound to it that I thought was nifty.

Really liked the panning diddly in "Waking a Fish Fulla Hot Air". It tickles my tastebuds (the ones you'll find on my eardrums).

Overall a solid compo, on another day I'd probably have picked a different 3 tops.
