64 captured the feel of the theme best, i think. i really felt that survival-adrenaline rush you get from resident evil games. sonikboom i feel deserves second because of his creative interpretation and follow-through of his conception, i could dig it. rellik because, well, he composed it in 2 minutes without even so much as looking at the theme!

Round 041 -

1st place - N64: Most credible entry, true to the theme.
It exudes tension and anxiety. Good choice of instruments, and nice spooky sound fxs.
But don't forget to close the door... justin case. ;p

2nd place - sonikboom: The drums are ace. Period.
...despite being a little less credible entry, this one got some nice elements goin' on.
Namely the groove & the simple but effective synth work.
And who said we couldn't party after safely escaping a horde of hungry zombies?

3rd place - melody: Next time, please turn the volume up.
That way we will at least hear some of this fine piano/string combo.
It makes me feel safe, I dunno what's on the other side of the door, but right now the galaxy is at peace.
So next time, turn it up so we can hear the melody 'kay? ;)
