Suzumebachi's and Starla's have the best sound and originality. I am a sucker for guitar wankery though so this one's on Suzy.

As for the third candidate, his was, to me, the most original and experimental of the lot, so he gets my #3 pick.

Flik, this is just fantastic. STFU. The vocal mixing is great the way it is. Good recordings and the secuencing is great.

J6H: Really love the way this sounds.

Suzumebadthing: This is good stuff... doesn't really hit the theme for me very strongly... but I can certainly feel a snowy platformer vibe maybe. Strong entry otherwise.

Great job everyone! this was difficult to vote for because all y'all have huge talent.

starla gets the Ironic Song Title of the Year award - 1st place

Rellik gets bonus points for apparently referencing Daft Punk at the chat. Oh, and the entry was nice, too. ;)

DjMokram gets third for doubling as narrator for the expedition in the description.

Long elimination process.

I felt these top 3 best fit the theme, sounded pleasing, and were well made / mastered.

Triple threats.

That was a though round, with lots of great entries.
The choice was hard to make this week!

1st place: Flik
Most believable and coherent with the theme.
Windy, chilly, and depicting a long journey to reach the top of the moutain.
Very cinematic, stunning flute parts, & nice addition of voices.
Also, very good production values.

2nd place: Rellik
I wasn't really picturing a glacier, more like a hot desert area.
The magic synths let place to an orchestra this time.
Percussion was awesome, and he demonstrated a good amount of mastery in the use of dynamics too.
A great tune!

3rd place: Trenthian
The feeling of embarking on an adventure prevails here.
Not so frozen either, but some good ideas going on.
Nice work.

4th place: Starla
Yeah, there isn't a 4th place, you don't hear the wind, and there isn't so much adventure here. ;p
But then again, even if the musical background is a loop, Starlight still got some real talent.
Always a pleasure to hear her singing.

Starla: Impressive! I loved the mellow-dramatic feel of the song.

Flik: Yet again an awesome song. Consistency is good!

Suzumebachi: Unusual compared with the other things I heard from you. As someone said in the IRC channel, "Is there any genre you can't do?"

This was a rather hard compo to choose a favorite from! Great job guys!
