Megaman X5 - 0 Virus (MnP79)

Silverpool - This is quite MnP, maybe too much? Man, my compo rules are weird. Anyhow, I love the instrument picks. Your sound is starting to improve, now we'd like to see a few re-interpretive touches for the next time you submit - doesn't have to be wild or anything - just give it a shot eh? Anyhoo, it'd be remiss of me not to slot you in second place for at least following the MnP guidelines. Adequate work :)
Dex - this is stretching the idea of MnP quite a bit and going into PRC territory, but I love the direction "Chill Virus" took nonetheless. You seem to have a decent handle of Reaper already lol. Good production. Sorry for not granting you 2nd or 1st place this time, please don't take it personal, I thought this is VERY good track, but it is a bit too liberal for MnP in my books.
RonaldPoe - you might want to consider ripping a MIDI instead of trying to go by ear. That's what I do, makes life easier. Not enough material here for me to slot you anywhere, sadly. Still, nice effort.
Kat - well this woulda swept the floor for 1st place if this weren't a BONUS - beautiful track thar Kat. :D

Hoboka - This is more in the vein of what I was going for, but you transitioned to the main motif so much more smoothly than I did. The added sax is wonderful too. But I do wish the drums were a bit more, "oomphy".
Ronaldpoe - Sounds like there is a LPF on the entire mix. The lows are a bit boomy as well. Otherwise it legitimately sounds like the thing just repeats a bunch of times.
Silverpool - Man your entries just keep getting better and better. The hi-hat could do with some more movement in its feeling. That kind of hat works in certain situations, but this I feel is not one of them given that it is the main element for so long. Also, decent transition to the main motif and nice play on it.
Eggsngaming - All right, you got my attention immediately by forgoing the standard. Plus, that bass? Tight crisp drums, and some ethnic sounds. Solid!
Kat - This is just a wonderfully moody take. Though I do kind of feel the vocal was pushed too high in the mix.

Silverpool - Getting better, but I'd like to start hearing your ideas and variations on the source material. This sounds like a straight midi instrument swap. Nothing wrong with that if you're doing this to help practice your production but I think it's time to start hearing your personal takes on things!
RonaldPoe - Mix sounds like it's underwater and there's essentially no variation after the first couple of seconds. Also the chorus is missing.
Also hoboka, Silverpool, and RonaldPoe all fell into the same trap with that high G on the main melody. When you repeat the exact same sample at the exact same volume level so frequently like that it becomes grating. You need to vary it up at least a little.
eggsngaming - Great intro and nice bass line. Semi-annoyed you had the same idea as me with the swing beat :). Clearly both the best-composed and best-produced entry.
Kat - loved the idea but it got a little tough to listen to as it went on. This is crying out for some actual lyrics. BTW I still want to know how you got that guitar sound on your last PRC entry!

Eggsngaming - Excellent variations on the source here.
Hoboka - Pretty true to the original, but the added material gave it a nice personal touch.
Silverpool - You're getting a lot better. My only real complaint was that the lower end felt a bit too cluttered.
RonaldPoe - Interesting choice of sounds, though it felt a bit flat(dynamically speaking).

Dex: Jazzy. :) I like how you take the chill factor of the source to a new level. However, you slowed it down and I was left with a different feeling. Also, I like how the reverb on the drums really makes the ReMix feel bigger.
eggsngaming: I like how you retained the theme, but it leaves me with a different feeling than the source.
RonaldPoe: While this ReMix is pleasant, it is a drastic change in theme from the source. I really like the light and bouncy feeling it gave me, though.
