Blaine - Wow this sounds like what the PS2 remake would have sounded like if Enix ever returned to this game haha; also kudos to actually re-arranging the source material without losing that MnP feel. A Pleasant Place is a very nice and eclectic medieval-ish feel, albeit the timing occasionally feels off, but I have a feeling that that was intentional to make the track feel more human, so not a real biggie to me. Nice use of a clavier piano too. And great ending too!

gercr - Sounds a bit like my remix/cover :P I wonder if you used the same flute sample lol. Anyway, I like how the soundscape sounds much fuller than the original and the percussion is definitely better than mine lol; that detuned crystal synth is pretty neat too. The strings are really fantastic too. The piano ending is pretty clever too, albeit I think the percussion drops off a bit awkwardly but meh.

GrapplingHook - The use of brass is a cool idea. That marimba or xylophone is a nice touch as well. Also the name of your track is pretty clever :D - so yeah this is a pretty cool cover.

Hard choice.... again.

Gercr, I really liked the overall feel over your take on this. I think the reverb may have been a little overdone, but overall things worked well and it felt lively.

GrapplingHook, I really liked your snare throughout, it felt very energetic. The rest less so, and I felt the trumpets were sometimes a bit too prominent.

hoboka (I know it's a bonus but I thought I'd give some thoughts anyways), sometimes I felt like some of the accents/emphasis was a little out of place but not all the time. Also, bassoon <3

Blaine has certainly given it a more "loose" feel, that's for sure, but he's also given it a slightly more dynamic feel. There's a little bit more ebb and flow to it than before, and I think it's quite well off for it.

The twangy... I want to say banjo(?) of gercr's track wasn't something I could get into, and with only two positions to fight over, that pushes Blaine to the top.

Blaine - I like this 'lively' take on the source, however it is sort of empty at some points. I like the ending and the flute (or whatever it is).
Gercr - Nice way of variating around the source. I did not like the drums in the beginning, but the last part was good.
GrapplingHook - Good choice of instruments, but after a while they became to repetitive.
hoboka - Another nice relax version of this source (which I didn't know before).
