gercr - since both submissions were covers, it falls down to who had the better sound production. gercr won on that regard (imo) - good EQ balance and the sample quality isn't too shabby (really love the strings & dat piano). Nice work gercr!! Thanks for taking the time to participate btw :D

Yami - Cool re-interpretation of the sound Yami! Alas, the bass is too loud by at least 2dB and drowns out the rest - the EQ/balance of the other things seemed pushed way back. The synth you used at 0:44 is pretty sweet though - I want that synth!! Thanks a bunch for participating Yami :)

Really solid Bass, it carries the rest of the instruments really well. Nice synth at the 42 secs.

I don't have a huge amount to say here. They're very similar mixes, though gercr's feels a lot more spacious (more reverb?). In both cases, there were some niggling bothers here and there (near the beginning and end of Yami's, some bass notes cut jarringly and some of the really sharp strings in gercr's bothered me a bit for reasons I can't articulate) but I gotta pick a winner.
