The Video Gamer gets it hands down. It's a pure nostalgia blast. An old 8 bit tune from back in the day brought into the sweet sound of 90s electronic dance music. It is given new life while also staying true to its original form.

Trism...as much as I love metal, this kinda strays a bit from keeping in pace with the feel of the original. It had me nodding my head and playing air guitar, but I don't feel like it matches the purpose of this contest. I appreciate the gesture, though.

TVG - I'm getting a lot of 80's pop here, and that certainly isn't a bad thing. Nice variation on the theme with the vocal pads towards the end. There's a fair amount of additional material in here, this is more like a PRC entry than an MnP. It's very well produced though; it certainly has a nice pop sheen to it.

SethSkoda - Those trap drums work really well with the melody, and the 'lil John samples aren't as distracting as I thought they might be. Though I feel if you are going to include the progenitor of crunk then you should you go all and try and make a full-on crunk track :P All in though this tracks works well with the style you've chosen.

hobo - My word, it's a marching band! GO TEAM! This works distressingly well, the tuba is oompa-ing, the trumpets are a-trumpeting. Could maybe have used a drummer boy in there for the full effect. Excellent work overall though!

Dex - The melody translates really well piano, and all the additional instruments coming in gradually works really well with adding variation to the repeating melody. The drums are on-point throughout as well. Great work!

Wow these entries are quite short. Then again, the source itself is only 40 seconds long. For me, i think, SethSkoda was my favourite out of the 2. Yeah i'm only judging on 2 entrants (And commenting on the rest) lol.

Ok so let's go from the top.

SethSkoda - Although the inclusion of Lil Jon was more awkward than expected, i really liked this arrangement. The trap beats were much better mixed than others, and the synth sounds were great. What's also good, is that the melody is bright and present, so it doesn't get masked in the synth sounds. The only complaints, is that it's a bit consistent, and close to the threshold (In terms of mixing). Also like i said, i'm not a fan of the vocal samples. Still enjoyed this, so congrats on the win!

Trism - The reason i picked you 2nd, was because i wasn't into the drums. They weren't dynamic at all, they felt extremely static and MIDI like. But the guitar playing is pretty awesome, so i congrats there. It is full force, but it only lasts a minute so it's not a big one. Great job on this one!

Hoboka - Um....this is...interesting? The brass sounds cool, but i'm not sure what your intention was, because it's incredibly out of sync (And dry might i add, sorry). This was pretty cool so, great attempt!

Dex - Shame yours is a bonus, because it's my favourite out of the bunch. Love the shuffle groove, great use of that nice swing. The strings felt extremely fitting too, this could work in a Kids T.V show or something. Only one flaw comes to mind, and that it needs a bassline, and not just the piano playing the bass. Other than that, i enjoyed this one a lot so well done!

TVG - Sick remix. This is a great example of how to stretch out and do variations on a simple idea. Those drum fills were huge and awesome. Good ending too. Easy #1 here.

SethSkoda - Good effort. I like the song that's going on under the Lil Jon samples, which I just don't think fit.

Trism - Cool remix. Very frantic. Is any of that live? It sounds like the lead guitar is, at least. Cool ending, too. Have you heard the Machinae Supremacy tune? This reminds me of that https://machinaesupremacy.bandcamp.com/track/sidology-3-apex-ultima

hoboka - Those out-of-control horns are sweet.

Trism - Tempo change was a bit un-MnP, but this is a real nicely done cover metal mix and it shows. It adapts things nicely. This reminds me of the AVGN covers that they'd do for the odd game, like Bugs Bunny's Blowout. Nice guitarwork and drums. The tempo change was a bit of MnP heresy, but eh, it works here nicely. A lot of work was clearly put in this to get that production value up to snuff. So I'll go for an appeal to production value on this one.

Sethskoda - Nicely MnP thar. The pace is good. The groove is good. Got that gangsta-step thang going on. The Lil'John WHATs were a funny addition. Loved the other vocal touches. The saw synth was a bit meh, for me. True, you played it closer to the source, but the mix is perfect and it's so damn catchy lol.

TheVideoGamer - Pretty cool 90's electro-mix. But the MIX and compression is T_T. The choir-pads should've been warm pads or something with a bit more electro-90's feel if you're going for that style, just wasn't the right sample for me imo. But I did appreciate the original writing on the chords. I like the switch-ups on the drums. Though I think there is a bit of overcompression or something going on somewhere in the mix. This one is definitely the most original, but the other 2 entries were strong contenders to deal with haha.

I hope I made the right call. It's getting harder to draw the line between being MnP versus having a good remix. Like, last round, I almost blew a gasket between Trism and Dex, because both entries were strong. Hope everyone thinks they were treated fairly.

Dex - Excellent entry last round btw, I saved both your's and Trism's for my personal collection. God that was an epic cover-remix. Didn't feel like I did it enough justice last voting round. Anyways, here's a strong BONUS from Dextastic: Those violins are very well sequenced - they have a good articulation as play the note. And they're great as detache and legato lmao. That bass is sexy. Drums are great. Piano sounds real. I hope the J's at OCR recognize your talent. Hmmm...I wonder what's for Dinner. MAH BOI.
