Now that I got that out of the way, here we go, in order of upload-
Electrolisystem - we don't talk about that...
Trism - I see you took "funky" source literally :D Your track is rather enjoyable, although around 0:51 (and again at 2:01-ish) it gets really muddy, due to the high level of reverb you've got going on there. I like the sound upgrades you've got, although I personally feel that they could have been mixed better. Enjoyed the drum upgrades. However, it was the whole "funkifying" part of this that felt too far from MnP, and to me the source feels explorative but not really funky. I guess that's really my only beef with your remix.
esperado - While your remix is slower in tempo from the source (unlike Trism who was pretty up-to-tempo), I think slowing down actually helped you. Makes the song feel more apprehensive to me, which I'm enjoying. Your sound choice is interesting in a good way. I like how you go more "retro-ish" in instrument choice in the last thirty seconds or so. Also, flute trills. +1

All in all, I enjoyed both of your remixes, and you've both embarassed me for submitting such a half-assed mix. You both did an excellent job, and in the end it really only came down to my opinion on how close the feel of your mix was to the source.

Where's the brakes on this camel?!?!?

Trism - Nice variety and some cool ideas here. I thought the bridge was the part that captured the general feel of the original best though, however great it sounds overall. A minor criticism is that I think the kick was over-reverbed, but the piece as a whole worked out well.
Electrolisystem - Suitable concept for the piece. I wish you had more time to work on this, because it really shows a lot of potential. The part at 1:35 sounds really excellent, and I was really hoping the accompaniment style there was going to continue throughout. A few dud notes here and there in the later section, but decent overall.
Thanks everyone for participating!

Electrolisystem - started off too plodding, but halfway through I started digging it, by the end I was smiling at the zipping tempo. Not sure changing the Eb to E works, my ears say no.
Trism - might have been a contender for 2nd for me if not for the overcompression and low end mess. The tom rhythms are good times.
Someone should do this as polka or klezmer. Yes.

esperado - I've had to revise this response about 10 times lol.
I love chill out tunes; pretty groovy and well produced, nice NES-sounding chip tunes in the back ground. There's just something about Trism's track that gelled better with my vision of MnP. Maybe I prefer campy over chill-out...maybe I just suck at critiquing, but eh, don't take it personal please, cuz I love this track a lot too :(
Electrolisystem - To be honest, I was considering ignoring the fact that you just midi ripped and slapped in a continuous accelarando, but I think that the other participants would have thrown rotten eggs at me...so, had to make a call. Still, I love the sound upgradage, especially when it picks up around 1:38 and the tempo speeds up, very fun and cool.
Over all...this was a very difficult and tiring endeavor, trying to figure out who get's 1st and 2nd etc. All 3 tracks have their strengths and weaknesses. That's the tricky bit about MnP ;)
Could be that my vote doesn't even come close to reflecting the other people's, which may or may not be a bad thing =p
