Another great week as always!
TheVideoGamer - The image was very technological, very much gave me the impression of a rave. I mean the second image very much reminds me of Jean Michel Jarre, especially in his later period (2015 and onwards). It might not be, but i get reminded of that. It could even be just a computer, however the music player in the second image gave it away for me. Long story short, i felt the rave vibes, and constructed a Hard and Heavy trance track. Fast brutal tempo's, thick rhythmical synths, pounding beats and a whole host of atmospheric pad chords, which sort of gives it ambience, even though it's literally not even close to an ambient track. I love this one, it's really nicely constructed, especially since i'm trying to incorporate more sidechain into my tracks. Also nice that i get to make music on FL Studio again, even if GarageBand is still very good. All in all, good work, love this one a lot.
Lyra_183 - Not familiar with the original, but that's probably because i don't usually invest myself with pop music, especially with what's in the charts, however though i thought you sing this song super well, especially for 4 minutes. Keep at it! Good job!
cotmm68030 - I have to say, i'm mixed with tracks like this. On the one hand the idea is super cool, i love the lo-fi aesthetic, reminds me of a broken speaker. However on the other hand, i feel the loud eq and distorted washes of sound do not feel genuine to me, rather forced if you will (I won't say loud, because this is all intentional). This is coming from a guy who listens to both Gabber, Industrial Music, Noise and to some degree, metal. I don't know, i just didn't feel like this was my cup of tea, i'm sorry. Good job though!
JohnGabrielUK - Really digging the quaint ambient approach, it's very much got a hint of that spacious sci-fi approach. It's very far back, almost like from a distance. The sound selections are very high quality, which made me doubt for a second it was MuseScore lol, but turns out it was mixed in Reaper. The whole thing is super nice and fitting, well done!
Vaiaphraim - Amazing DnB, the chords are awesome! Love the melodic approaches, definately fitting to the theme. I also hear a bit of Trance EDM influences. No wonder it shares similarities to my track lol. The chords are incredible, the whole thing is a joy to listen to, awesome work!
Sansero - Loving the use of sidechain, this is very nicely mixed, you've come a long way since you've first arrived. The melody is objectively simple, and like Vaia said it could do with some processing, however the whole thing is lovely, and enough to drown out the bad parts. I think the melody excels in simplicity, and works super well for this. Long story short i enjoyed this a lot, well done!
Jose - Acapella EDM, now that's something you don't hear a lot, and honestly i would like to hear more of it haha. I got a laugh out of this, well done!
Top 3 - Vaiaphraim, Sansero, JohnGabrielUK.
