@JohnGabrielUK: I'd say you win this theme, hands down. Beautiful tune, and nice instrument selection for that smokey bar feel. It has a nice human feel to it aswell. Nice one! (We already discussed that woodwinds need to breathe occasionally haha)

@Atmospherium: That track of yours was epic. The riffs, the basslines, everything. Great sound, tons of energy, brutal distortion, yet pleasing on the ears!

@starla: I totally dig that arrangement of yours, all the elements play together so well, and your experience with your tools really shows. Nice touch with the call/response of your lyrics ("take a breath"). The pad could maybe be a tad bit louder, maybe. Oh, and I love the bitcrushed percussion that hits occasionally :)

@TVG: Still not sure if it's polyrhythm or not, my brain can't quite decide :P I really like the way the track builds up, as more and more elements join, only to fade away towards the end. The bass sequence could use a bit more velocity/rhythm, since it was a bit too static for my taste. Nice sounds, nice melodies!

@Sansero: I love the vibes of that track; I find it captures the smoke in an office really well. The melodic elements were nice, too. Make sure to share the finished track (in case the WIP means you'll actually work on it further ;) )

@josef: The vox are a bit too in-your-face for me (in-my-face? :P), but I like the playful melody and chord progression nonetheless!

@JH Sounds - No typo lol, that is the time. You know this was made in 30 minutes right?

@Vaia - Polyrhythm? It's in 3/4, but i don't remember adding a polyrhythm in.

@Vaia - Maybe it's 6/8 who knows. I've always counted it as 3/4. Might be my ears.

@Atmospherium - Something like that.

@Vaia - I think each person's brain calculates it differently. To me it feels like 3/4, but i also understand 6/8, since it's quite a upbeat tune. Who knows, glad you liked it anyways.

@JH Sounds - The bass really denotes the pulse for the whole thing, so you can sort of go by that as a reference.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - Started with a piano sound, doused in reverb to make for a very airy ambient feel. The piano sound this time though is different, not my usual sound. That is because it wanted a more muffled tone, to really bring out the softness of it all. Later on we essentially have a double of all the parts, played on a synth organ and strings. Because this was made in 30 minutes, i didn't really do anything fancy, most of it was just more layers of sound. Glad you liked it anyways!

JohnGabrielUK - Very moody jazz vibes, i like this a lot. The saxophone parts were nicely written, really brought kind of a light feel to the track. The whole track is very nicely written. The saxophone parts feel a little static if i have to be honest, but the rest was beautifully done. Well done!

Starla - Great to see you still making music, it's been a while. Really digging the percussion here, it's super nice. Very dynamic and groovy. Loving the background synths, nice colour. I would have liked to hear more vocals, it feels weirdly incomplete in that area, but the sounds were extremely nice. Well done!

Vaiaphraim - Liking the FM Electric Piano melodies. The piano ideas were interesting to say the least. The piano chords sound very clustered, almost like a full on stab, which is again an interesting idea, but to me also very muddy, not sure about that, but i did love the second half, especially when it slows down. Good job though!

Atmospherium - Woah this is aggressive. Full on metal from Atmospherium. I really dig the time signature changes, this is such a lovely approach. The screaming vocals just makes it for me. Shame it's short, this could be expanded into something epic. Lovely work though. Well done!

Sansero - Interesting chord choices, this is something that could definitely be expanded upon (Obviously says it's a WIP). Melody was lovely, really blends well. It does sound incomplete, but again it's a WIP and it sounds great. Good job!
