Week 3 (90MC003)

Ashka had some sick chords, and a good funky beat.
Vaiaphraim had a rather humorous western approach, even though the sounds were more VGM sounds.
My punk/electronic thing was unique, but i didn't spend much on it, so i can't say i am proud of it. It's there.....
Both of you did a great job, well done!

ashka conveyed a really nice, laid back feel with "Clyper", I love the chords, maybe a few of the more dissonant ones might be a bit too dissonant after all - but hey, it makes the consonant ones so much more rewarding :) I love the way the entire track builds along the way with more and more elements joining in over time!
TVG's track sounded nice (especially for being a really fast submission), but also felt a bit unpolished. I found that the cut samples did their job well, but the sharp cuts killed the vibe for me a bit. I really liked the way the original track was rearranged, I think turning the drums down just a bit would have made the guitar work even better as a lead instrument!
Vaia did the typical thing of starting a musical idea, not finishing it, then moving further to the next. The banjo didn't really play a banjo-tune, but rather arped around or reinforced harmonies. It might work better to research some banjo-music for a more accurate feel. The reference to Morricone could have been worked in a bit better, harmony-wise, but felt like a good idea at the time. The drums had a nice drive, but probably didn't fit the theme all too well :)
