Sadly i couldn't make it as i was away for a week, and had no access to my usual tools. I was also too busy to submit anything here using GarageBand, so unfortunately i had to give this a miss. Luckily though i managed to get some thoughts down on the entries, i wanted to do this earlier, but i was busy with a lot of stuff. Anyways let's get to it!
LBApophis - Ooh found sound, that's cool. Loving these distorted sounds, it sort of reminds me of a guitar gone wrong. The rhythms are interesting too, the lazers don't fall on beat, but yet it makes sense in the context of the kick drum playing a 4 on the floor style. So many cool textures made out of found sound stuff, i love it. This is fire mate, well done!
AthanThatGuy - Straight into it, forget the intro lol. I know you make exceptionally hard hitting bangers, but this one is especially dirty, that bassline is really going hard in my headphones. It's trap but with extra BASS. Literally not one second does my headphones have time to breath haha, i love it. Amazing trap banger mate, well done!
Hornelectric - Interesting textures, it's hard to tell what the sound is here, but it has a scraping quality. The flute is very airy almost ethnic sounding, i really feel like i'm transported to East Asia it's peaceful and New Age. The rhythmical sounds are nice too, some really great percussion. The overal vibe is partly pieceful, but textural too, it's so cool. Love this one, well done!
Eidolon Ethos - Cool pads, back to the 80's with this one. So far this week it's textural week, so many interesting sounds. Nice beat, quite in your face for this one, but that's a good thing. The overal vibe is kind of partly orchestral too, i hear some brass in there. It's a very interesting downtempo experience i love it. Well done!
NelsNose - Woo that's a sick opening fill. This is such a strange piece, i can't tell if it's rock music or reggae, or even funk music. The synth is so strange, or is it even a synth lol. Singing is absolutely fire, but i will say the synth is overpowering the vocals a bit, so it can make it hard to decipher, however it is a very cool vibe, it's a unique take on reggae or something similar. Well done!
Adreqi - Beeep. This one be chill, with a really nice soft pad and percussion thing going on. I like the beep is used as both a rhythm and a melody, although i'm not gonna lie it reminds me more of a microwave than a dishwasher lol. The acoustic parts really make this so nice, it was already chill before, but this adds a layer of emotion to the sound, especially with the violin. This is just lovely stuff, well done!
Krirbs - Loving the acoustic guitar, it sounds like it's been chopped as a sample, although the playing feels more like it was done by you but chopped i don't know. Either way i'm totally feeling the oldschool vibe in this one, to the point where it reminds me more of Antik than it does you lol. That is one nice melody, i was not expecting it for oldschool hip-hop but i'll take it. Whole thing is flipped exceptionally nicely, well done!
Meistr - Lovely vocals as always, although i did notice there was a bit of delay at the beginning almost as if the beat came first, resulting in a bit of a out of time vocal thing going on. The chords are the classic Meistr i love, very emotive sounding, it's great. The buildup is more harder than the intro, like there is a 10db sudden shift, either way it's not too loud. The drop is absolutely fire though, it's so wonky and unique, pac-man dubstep but with extra wonky, i just wish i was more than a minute i loved it so much. Well done!
UrinalPooper - Urinal entering the Shoegaze era, with some really long drawn out guitar notes, that really make me feel like i want to sink into a bean bag. Vocal and lyric work is classsic Pooper as usual, i mean the day you make normal lyrics will be suprising haha. The drums are filtered in this one, i think that might be intentional. Nothing else to say, it was just a great rock track from you, well done!
Vaiaphraim - Bassline and acoustic drums? Now this is not a typical Vaia track, it sounds completely like a different artist. The melody though is Vaia sounding though, done on an instrument that feels like we are in a RPG in some kind of medievil village. Whole track is very nice from a melody standpoint, it's got some really interesting chords it dig it! The piano is quite the star of the show here, but that's ok it really makes the track very adventerous. Lovely stuff mate, well done!
Boomer - A lot of lyrics for 3 minutes, damn. The 808 is even more dirty than Athan's, wow it really messes with my headphones damn. The arp work is dark yet melodic, it's got that classic Boomer melody. It's partial neon 80's in a way. The vocals are extremely well mixed, super clear and fits the vibe so well. Amazing journey, even with the vocal work. I love this one a lot, well done!
Relax.D - This one is kind of happy, which you don't usualy make. I love the house beat, and compression, it's so different. It feels like i'm in a beach, but it's all hazey. The distortion is so interesting, it's a dance track done in the most atypical way possible. The vocals are more in the background here, i don't know if it's intentional, but the overal vibe is so different fun, i love it. Well done!
Phoolard - Alright last one of the round, and wow you also went for a lot of lyrics in 3 minutes, this is impressive not gonna lie. That is one interesting sound at the beginning, great transition into the melody, that is played in a way that reminds of Blue (Da Ba Dee). The track itself is definately blue inspired lol. This is hilarious. I'm shocked the rap/singing combo despite it being quite fast, is on beat pretty well. The track is super funny, and unironically a banger. This is just lovely, well done!
