Anyways thanks for a great week!
TheVideoGamer - I had a lot of ideas running through my head, and didn't know what to do, so in the end i decided to make another beat-tape. Well that, and when i made my first one for 2hts 303, i had the nerve to put Vol 1 at the end. We all know if you put Vol 1, it implies a sequal will be in order, so i have to by law haha. Anyways, like the first one, we have 3 beats, but this time not strictly hip-hop, but more so around that area. The first is a breakbeat thing, the second is true chill hip-hop and the 3rd beat is more...chill house i guess? Each have some form of idea, but with each one being different for variety. The 3rd beat is my favourite, not just in this tape, but well in...ever. Expect to see a fully fleshed out version of this on Easter Sunday!
Anyways...
dione bigode - This is like a full rock song, with emotion passed through a weird filter. Or better yet, a beautiful landscape painting, ruined with water, to create a heavy smudge effect. I don't know what it is, but i really like it, so well done!
DavidKirk - Love this dude, the acid tones are sick, and the structure really made for an exciting buid-up. Start to finish i was engaged and bopping my heads throughout. Well done!
Cutesaw - There's something really oddly satisfying about the minimalism. Only strings, piano and beats really power through, playing a rather beautiful haunting melody of some sorts. It is simple, but latches onto me the more i listen. Awesome work!
RicardoMenegasso - I swear i know this sample from somewhere, but yet i can't seem to get the name. That aside, you did say it was unrelated to the theme, but at the same time, i really like this, it worked well, and the vocals were engaging than obstructing. Well done!
hedcanon - Great aggression! Vocals were great, and i loved the buildups. Get's a bit loud towards the end though, and it doesn't seem fitting to the theme. Great job though!
Antik - As long as the beat is fire, you could do wonders at only 20 seconds. I love this beat, great sample choice. Be nice if you ended it properly than having an abrupt cut, but it was nothing major. Well done!
Timv - Really sick Drum and Bass this week dude! Lovely the nice array of sounds, and certainly love the intricate bits of percussion filling the space. This was just dope! Well done!
Vaiaphraim - Really nice chiptune melodies today! Mixed in with some more modern sounds for a great jam. Also interesting to include some glitches too, adding a slight IDM flavour. Well done!
Teenagebeard - This is lovely. Really great use of the guitar, both as a simple sound source, but also sort of like a synth. Is it a synth or a guitar? Who knows it was such a nice unique element i loved it. Well done!
MrsToen - Daam this chord progression. That's such an Entoen thing, and it works sooooooooo well. Beats are very punchy, almost close to the threshold, but nothing too bad. Love these chords, awesoooommmeee! Love this, well done!
jessiejames1978 - Great atmosphere! Starts off like a traditional ethnic piece (With the clanging of the bells), but then the vocals come in, and it makes it closer to a horror movie. This is great, well done!
UrinalPooper - This one man showman is really working out for you! This was great, nice rock tune! Well done!
bo0m3r31337 - Any faster, and it will sound like a consistant buzz lol. SOO FAST, SOO AGGRESSIVE, AND SOOOOOOO GOOOOD!!! Well done!!
gercr - Great jam dude, really like the tones here, such a great use of reverb and delay! Well done!
coolgreenapple - Really nice dude, but drums get lost towards the end (Beef up a bit), and i feel like you could tone the volume on the guitar. Mixing aside this was nice, really funky. Great job!
