DrumJ8 - Nice work, especially the end was very well done.
FreakyT - This song is a little more calm as DrumJ8's version which I like. I also like the end of this one a lot.

Pretty funny to hear two songs in the same genre.

FreakyT - Nice interpretation and arrangement. I think the sound would improve if the instruments were performed more realistically--maybe try playing with and experimenting with the velocity and expression of the instruments, as well as the different articulations.

Both these entries were very similar lol

FreakyT: Everything flows perfectly in this! The timpani sample sounded a little muffled imo but I wouldn't say it takes anything away from it. Solid remix

DrumJ8: Great use of all the percussion instruments, it really made the tune stand out! The descending tempo was also nicely employed at the end. Good entry!

Tough, tough choice. Both mixes are pretty epic, and despite the unpopularity of my choice of source, I'm glad I made it.

DrumJ8's snare was a nice call, and using the timpani as part of the melody instead of just rhythm worked really well. There's some funky timing in places, especially around 0:41, but it's not bad.

I think FreakyT's creative decisions worked better, and he made better use of harmony. The soundscape was a little narrower and the samples seemed just a bit worse, though.

I waffled back and forth on this one a lot, you both did great jobs.

while both tracks were very similar, DFOP seemed a bit more coherent and fleshed out. it made me think of some sort of marching band.
both sets of samples could use work, but otherwise i like the ideas here!
