Tough vote as there were many good entries. Aside from these I especially enjoyed the waltz treatment from Brainstar. I received regular enjoyment from all the other entries as well. Good round.

Place 1 : "Heaven in my Hands", for the most professional feeling of all songs. And of course i like melodic Trance.

Place 2 : "The next Level" , I voted it to Place 2 because of it's refreshing feeling and a good R'n'B taste.

Place 3 : "Waltz to victory" , innovative and bold, but to short. ;)

Showroom_Dummy: I like your style, the choir fits nice into the song. (I think it's a choir synth, isn't it?)
ReSeT: I like your interpretation, it just stays in my ears after listening.
Chickenwarlord: I like the feeling of your song.

Showroom Dummy - Excellent start. I like the background sounds you used. Very good part around 2:00. The ending is too long.
Just64helpin - Nice sampling, I really like the part around 1:00. The vocal fits well in the song. The ending is a bit boring.
OneUp - Very interesting start. The intro is excellent. I like almost everything you did. The ending is long (typical for this genre).
Setokaibarocket - I like the bass, but the flute isn't strong enough to overpower it. The ending is abrupt.
ReSeT - Good sampling. The drums are a little bit too dominative and not changing. I like the part around 3:00.
Evktalo - Interesting begin. It takes a while before something happends, but the source comes in good. There's not much variation.
Chickenwarlord - The flute is very nice. The sample combination is weird, but funny. After the middle, the song's boring. Good end.
Brainstar - Interesting to see how you combinated the bass/main lead. Good sampling.
Txai - Weird start. I like the part before the source comes. There aren't much samples in the song, but you variated a lot.

Thu - The bass is a bit too loud. Very good piano. The vocal doesn't fit.

Very nice round.

AI Takeover by Showroom_Dummy - I'm a sucker for chiptunes as well as 80s synth. The beat is great, nice use of a slight variation on every second snare. Loved the bass around 1:30. The overall production could use more work.

Pray for Jay McCray by just64helpin - Beautiful, good instrumentation, really cheesy sample. Great ending sequence. I really wanted the track to actually get started at some point, it felt like it was all a buildup.

Heaven In My Hands by OneUp - Great soundscape/production, maybe a bit too much effects/alterations at times. Very enjoyable at 2:58. I skip a few of those big bomb bassdrums, or exchange some of them. Good energy overall.

Punish the Innocent (BONUS) by Thu - This piece of crap sucked. Ban this guy from the PRC.

The Next Level (From NES to SNES) by setokaibarocket - Bonus points for the sample selection, minus points for the messy bass background the same samples provide. You really need a rapper for a hip-hop mix to get really interesting. I think this was the only track with a transition, props to that.

ReSeT - SirIuS.Mind by ReSeT - Energetic, nice beat (although it needed some more variation), really great sound overall. Really liked those melody alterations. Productionwise it sounded a bit too spread out for my liking, more like stapled layers than a song. Last minute felt unnecessary.

Ronery Star by evktalo - Low quality samples gives this a 90s feel which I can't really stand. The main beat is great. Make sure the bassline follows melody alterations, it just gave a very disharmonic impression now.

Rebuilding by Chickenwarlord - Messy, there's so much happening that I had a hard time listening to it. The slap bass was spot on, but the track lacked a sense of completeness.

Waltz to Victory by Brainstar - Creative and tasteful. Your high pianos sound very fake, I would have transposed them down an octave and/or tried a different piano sample/vst. Too short, but still really enjoyable.

Silent Colony Manifest by Txai - Good handiwork, but it strays too far from the original. Good feel overall, the Rhodes reminds me of the Cardigans for some reason.

Thu: Great source choice, and I enjoyed your bonus most of all the entries. A pity I couldn't put it into first place.

Showroom: You continue to entertain with creative effects and a bouncy and engaging arrangement. Everything seems to fill a role in your mix and it creates a feeling of 'space' in the mix, which I found quite fitting giving our game. Main letdown is it just sorta...ends.

Reset: Biggest issue I had with yours was the lead. Good drumwork, and use of effects. The melody usage was decent and this takes this to a good level.

OneUp: Source usage is good, and you certainly get a lot of mileage out of the awesome bassline. However, everything sounds so vanilla in sound-design land and thus this is relegated to third place.

Brainstar: I'm sad that you didn't expand on your idea, because what you had worked fairly well. Looking forward to more from you in the future.

Txai - Nice Rhodes. Hard, but not too hard or bell-ish.

Brainstar - The only mix here that managed to get stuck in my head. Kudos.

setokaibarocket - Cool, but needs a bit more variety in the drums, I think.

I have to say. The songs in this contest are much better than the usual fare, especially chickenwarlord's (although, he didn't make my Top 3).

1st place goes to ReSeT. 2nd place is Showroom_Dummy. And 3rd place is OneUp.

Well, forgot to write my reasoning in advance so I gotta do this quick, lol

Txai - Very cool rhodes arrangement, with a lot of original stuff =p flows pretty nice, but maybe could've used a bit more humanization, if it has any already..

OneUp - Nice trance mix =p Some of the sounds sound rather cheesy (like the porta lead from 0:24) but overall it's cool and catchy =p Doesn't change the source tune very spectacularly but is overall reinterpreted nicely.

ReSeT - Very nice mix, but tends to follow the guidelines of the original source a lot, not doing anything too different. Well produced though
