I felt "Sneaking in the Arena" really put me into the a dungeon crawling experience. I thought it set the mood just right. Nailed it!

"Do not be sneaky" was defenitely cool as hell but, and i loved all the little doodads here and there. It sounded a little too silly though, like i was at the circus.

In "Don't rush it", I liked the tone, and the idea where he was going. It could have been great with more elaboration, but it just kind of stagnated. It never really changed much or had anything that really stood out.

Evktalo- Nice switch up on the speed to keep things a bit more interesting. However, the track does suffer from a static texture. Most of my indifference towards the piece comes from the rather unexciting guitar tone coupled with some recording quality issues.
Bundeslang- The beginning is a bit tedious. Once into the meat of the song the main lead swallows the texture for the most part. The thirds stabs at about :50 are a nice break from the drone of the rest of the piece. Arps in the background are alright. Overall nothing sticks out as attention grabbing or particularly ear grabbing. The song could have done well enough without most of the second half.
OneUp- Good way to set up the early ambiance. The pads with the scattered synth 'footsteps' were a great choice for this source. I love the use of panning, even if the design on the leads was rather bland. It is mastered and manipulated well to keep one's attention for the duration.

Great, fun entries. Sort of tough deciding between them, in the end I though Do Not Be Sneaky felt more complete as a standalone piece. Good sounding track, felt finished. Nice work picking working parts from the source.

Sneaking in the Arena was pretty good in that regard as well! I thought this track was really fun and catchy. Especially the little trill (? - first at 0:24) in the string part worked really well with that siren-like synth. Relentless bombardment!

Some things were not so good: the tricky material trips around 1:07-1:12, 1:20-1:21 and perhaps in general where the arpeggio is used around 01:00-01:30 - I didn't feel that part really gelled tonally, so to speak. Notes clash in a bad way. There are also some weird rhythmical fumbles with the synths around these areas. Another thing that the energy doesn't quite pick up after the breakdown. The last 1:30 don't offer the same excitement than the first half (even with it's flaws). Regardless, I thought the piece was good!

1. Although I'm not particularly partial to this style (and getting just a bit tired of all the electronic-y mixes in general - sorry, but there's just so /many/ of them), this seemed to use the source best of the lot. Near the halfway point I was getting a bit tired of the drums, and near the end I felt it could have used some more switch-up in synth sounds, but as I had to listen twice before forming an opinion, because I zoned out the first time, well... XD That's what makes a song worthwhile right there - that little moment where you suddenly realise: Hey. Why's it so quiet? I was /enjoying/ that, blast it.

2. I actually enjoyed this one the most, to be honest. Unfortunately, it just didn't do much with the source. Speeding it up helped, but there weren't enough changes from the original that stood out. Still, bravo for real recording! (It... it /is/ live, right?) I very much look forward to your next entry!

3. The intro got me excited, hoping for a more spacey take... then it got a bit groovin', and that was cool. There were some nifty ideas throughout, but all in all, I just wasn't a fan of the drums and felt that a bit less of the electronic stuff would have helped - it just seemed there to occupy the higher frequencies, without adding much to the song. Even just something simple, like a piano fiddling with the bits of the song that evktalo chose to highlight, would have been better.

OneUp - I like the DNB Beats in the start. The middle part is nice, the DNB style is dominating in a nice way. There isn't much variation, the start from the song is the same as the middle and end.
Evktalo - The sampling isn't bad, I only don't like the 'thing' on the background. I like the speeding ups in the song. The bassline is strong and good.

First is OneUp, I definitely liked that one the most. Second is bundeslang, and third is evktalo.

I'm kind of disappointed by the turnout this time, but three mixes is better than two ... or one.

Kind of a no-brainer. I'd go into more detail, but I don't wanna offend anyone. :|
