The amount of talent, and creativity it takes to create that many songs in an hour is astounding, which is why I picked my 1st place choice. The other two were very close together in terms of effort I feel, which is why I picked them.

@Suzums - Arp City baby!

@Misael.K - Wee Boop. lol

@JH Sounds - Ahhh the obligatory comparison. Donkey Kong Country is way too ethnical for my liking lol.

@Atmospherium/Misael.K/Randy - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. lol you guys are awesome.

@Suzums - Better check this dude out. Never heard of him.

@Misael.K - If you dig, where's your shovel? Haha..

@Atmospherium - Nope, 9ths. Unless you talk about the progression, i believe it's pentatonic. However i usually just call them 9ths.

@LunacyEcho/Johnfn - I think it's a nice bass sound too lol.

@Randy - Funny because i didn't add any panning. All the sounds came from the Linndrum, a classic 80's drum machine. Back then there was no dynamics, only volume change. Oh how we have moved on from limitations....

@Starla - Per above.

@Atmospherium - Oh now i get the DKC reference lol.

@mcmiag_zebra - That's right....a t h e s t i c . The moon shall be distant, for the 80's obligatory sunset lol.

@Johnfn - Want me to make a track with nothing but this bass lol?.

@LuncacyEcho - The tambourine had to leave for work....sorry.

@Misael.K - Lol

@Atmospherium - Everyone's got a weird obsession for tambourines lol. I just happened to have decided in a hour, it would be loud in the mix. Tambourine entrant next week!

@Misael.K - Yes it's a real fadeout....right in my track....all for you lol.

@NickC - A S T H E T I C

@Misael.K - Of course it's real duh lol.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words! You guys rock!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - I was feeling in a rather 80's mood, so i went in that direction. I mostly chose very atmospheric sounds to make the chords, but pared it up with a large thick square bass and of course, the key to any 80's beat. The Linndrum, a classic drum machine. It's very static the machine, but that's what's good about it. I Made sure to get plenty of melodies in too.

cotmm68030 - I always find the longer and more spaced out your tracks are, the better you become. I was really digging the journey from beginning to end, i love the space, and definitely the effects too. Excellent dude!

DarkShadow - Is there anything i haven't heard from you yet? lol

A2Z - The track really begins during the fade out. Also the pads are very loud, so it ended clashing with the piano. Ideas was great though!

Suzumebachi - Woooow this is really good. Like the melodies and chords were just...oof. Maybe get bigger drums, for that omph, but this is minor. Well done!

Koekepan - The decay of the bells hurts my ears. Sorry. Good job though!

Atmospherium - The beats are huuuuugee. Love the kick with the synths. Personally the vocals need to blend in more, i could not hear them, however rest is fire. Good job!

NickC - Ok big up for the ending, that was the best thing about the track. Unexpected and awesome. The track itself is really nice. Well done!

starla - Why is this mixed sooo well....uuuuu. Awesome work!

Arcana - Interesting (albeit very quiet) experiment. Good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Every track bops so hard. I'm surprised you could even fit a mini soundtrack in a hour, especially with how good these are. Awesome work!

Misael.K - The idea is great, especially like the drums here. The guitar is a bit too...textured for my liking, it doesn't project as a melodic feature, therefore making the track a little too clustered, but the rest was really nice. Good job!

RandySutherland - Solid and straight-forward lo-fi hip hop. Well done!

obScene - The hip-hop vibes are really good, especially digging them huge beats. Needs to be longer, way too quickly for this track. Well done!

garlagan - Um.... bo0m3r31337 type beat?

LunacyEcho - How the hell can you rap so good.....just how.

johnfn - Gave me a great chuckle, well done!

mcmiagblackmanisgod - For all of it's repetition, i really dig these chord choices oof. Well done!

Top 3 - cotmm68030, Starla, DDRKirby(ISQ)

the last four bullets
title taken from the final scene of the movie the mist. in a departure from my typical sourcing of field recordings for the background ambience and texture, this track actually sourced some of the noises and sounds from samples generated by the OpenAI Jukebox system, which can generate anything from odd textures to complete songs with performed vocals. I clicked on the picture of the foggy road first and had to muster all of my self-control to not take the impulsive route of something with callbacks to Silent Hill. Though I suppose creatures in the fog, just out of sight is rather SH in its own right.

dense sight
a surprisingly dense sound even with not that many instruments playing simultaneously. I think the staccato bassline helps that.

silent mist
love that opening piano. the phased saw pad is rather nostalgic sounding too. Reminds me of a GM patch on an old Ensoniq soundcard, same with the snare and arpeggiated line later. Peaceful, but foreboding.

two pities
shoulder injuries are the worst. love the chippiness of this one, particularly juxtaposed to the guitar.

autumnal mists
like windchimes hidden in the fog. love the gentle pads in the background.

where water meets air
really loving the vocals; very sinister.

ganzfeld effect
although I sidestepped a Silent Hill reference, I'm so glad someone decided to go there. This track could easily have been from the cutting room floor of Silent Hill 2. Between the arpeggiated guitar and the percussion, even the title. Love it. Seeing shapes in the fog.

lonely days
vocals are always the highlight of your tracks. really liking the sparser instrumentation of this one; matches with the theme as something ephemeral and lets the vox stand out more.

windy nights
Loved the multiple sections and transitions between levels of energy.

a fog of the fox
mysterious. feels like it could loop for a long while in an rpg.

hazy hazards ost
how ambitious! lovely chill sound on the first track; very nice piano sample. getting a bit of a SH vibe from track 2. not so much from the lead, but the chord stabs. love the relaxed sound of 3. definitely getting a lofi vibe out of the percussion in track 4. nice.

emptiness embraces me
the opening arps remind me of the dungeon theme from Zelda 1. I like the grit of that line. Vibrato on the flute reminds me a little of Silent Hill.

as it goes
so many nice pianos this week. the glassy counter melody has a great texture. great lofi chill feel.

overbearing solitude
The pulsing compression gain on the percussion is very Yamaoka. A shame its over so soon. Would love to hear more of this.

scarypieno
there are scary things happening to that piano. the arp speeding up into a blurred texture at the end would have been nice to hear develop into some ambient washes.

epic diss track and john vs luny
Hard to not evaluate these two together. Can't really find a tie to the theme with either of them, but they're both fun.

vylet wip
odd little vocal sample is kinda funky. would like to hear where this could end up going.
