Ode to the Great Protoon

Much like everyone else around here, I had a great idea for a mix interpretation but was stretched by other things in order to clear it in a timely fashion (in this case, the strong summer weather out here was a part of it).
Having already been familiar with the game through the GBA port, I thought I'd have a look at an exploration of the theme in a 7/4 time signature. Rather than focusing on Band Land itself, I thought of thinking of what Rayman's world is like in balance, before and after Mr. Dark's interception of the Great Protoon (hence towing in a reference to said character's boss theme part way through). Anything else I mention at this point would be deemed completely unnecessary.
This was a 24 hr cram jam! I just wanted to make something that you'd enjoy waking up in the morning. So grab a Mai Tai and some sunglasses and try your favorite lounge chair. And this all makes sense to me because I'm tired because I've been up for 30 some odd hours and my brain is fired. I hope that the song isn't fried because it's supposed be grilled....or something like that...
I think Stretched Taut is an okay name, partly because Band Land has a lot of bongos and drums and suchlike in it, but also because I got pressed for time. I didn't get to finish it - it's still too similar to the original song for my liking - but I hope it's enjoyed.
And sorry about the guitar in it...FL Slayer is not my friend.
This sounded better as a MIDi, unfortunately.
The pads, and light airy leads were supposed to give it an angelic feeling. However, without mastering it ended up sounding more cluttered than anything else.
