DJ Mokram - the best reinterpretation of the lot and nice enough production; love the chip first half then something more contemporary. Far out man. Grooovy.

Silverpool64 - Dat saw lead is so sexy. I like the detuned support riffs too! Lol that pitched snare ending.

AxLR - Frantic Mario McDondald's Less than 60 seconds to the finish goal time!! Lmao. Mc Donald's in France was better in the early 2000's....now that's my kind of title! This is an anxiety inducing, frantic paced interpretation. Pretty close to second place for me.

Welp, what a round !
Everybody kept it classic so it was hard to pick, my reasoning has to hit the choice of instruments and stuff.

And for that, DjMokram has the cleanest mix of them. It's a bit soft, but it works quite well, I'd hear that kind of remix on a remake, so yeah, take my vote.

Silverpool64 was good too, it felt Midi-ish and some instruments were too loud, that made you go 2nd.

And Hoboka. Welp, crunch is a thing but to this point it's almost saturating, it's too bad because without that everything sounds nice.

Of course it's nitpicking, to the point that my vote come from personal preference, but that means that there is competition ! I hope I made a good participation too !

PRC ROUND 410
-------------------------

Amazing turnout. Here's to many more rounds like that! :)

1st place:
Hoboka took the most risks out of all the entrants imho. Stacking distortion and bit-crushing to give this funky beat some grunge aesthetic. Playing with stereo-widening and delay, while adding flourishes to the source melody. Great work.

2nd place:
Silverpool64 did a bang up job modernizing the original sound palette and mixing it up with some lush reverb to fit that 90s vibe. The structure stays pretty much unchanged, but it's a tasty and well produced cover.

3rd place:
AxLR's entry took me by surprise with the super fast tempo. Kudos for sticking to it and making it work, due in no small part to a smooth production as well as variation in the drums patterns, giving this mix a unique flavor.

Bonus entry:
TheVideoGamer kept it groovy as promised, with a wise selection of instruments to not just match the genre and the era, but also the wacky tone of Treasure games.

Dang. You all did a great job. And what an unexpectedly great source, too! If I have one complaint, its that most of the entries are too short and leave me wanting more.

I hope my vote went through correctly. If not, here it is:
1-DjMokram
2-hoboka
3-AxLR

I really liked Djs crunchy 8 bit drums and the theme and instrument variations. Everyone else just did a solid job in their own way and I had a hard time picking between them. Big kudos to TVG for doing those extra variations in the second half of his piece. hoboka has a cool spacey lead and good transitions/fx, and AxLR brings that frantic energy. And yes silverpool, I think those sounds work together. My favorite is the one that sounds like a cat mew that plays a couple of times in the track. lol. I cant describe it any better than that. It fits, and its not overdone, which is important because I think that if you had used it more it would have stopped fitting.

DJ Mokram - Interesting combination of styles, working nice together. The drums are very good.
HoboKa - Enjoyed especially the stuff on the background.
Silverpool64 - Nice calm version of the source.
AxLR - Liked the speed-ups in the song, the variation in the drums is good.

TheVideoGamer - Another contribution, liked the use of vocals.
