Well done guys, you all had some really good entries. For this one, i'm gonna go with hoboka.

Hoboka - I love the choice of samples, and the overall realistic tone. It sounds very convincing as a live element and the mixing is actually spot on. Buuuuttt....that's not to say there were a few issues. First off the drums weren't really making a statement, despite the fact you were showcasing drums. Second of all, the timbre's were a little on the same side. Even though there was a break, the organ was powering 80% of the track. Lastly, the use of delay in some sounds actually clash a little, but this one is a minor nitpick. Still though, good job.

KlevarKoopar - Like with Hoboka's you have a beautiful selection of realistic sounds mixing in a suitable live element. Unlike Hoboka's however, your drums make an impact and really showcase the intensity of the piece. The orchestral sounds are well mixed too. The drums sounds were good, but poorly mixed. The kick was too harsh, and got into the orchestra quite a bit. Also i'm not too keen on the bass, it doesn't lock into the drums making it similar to a background element, than a main element. On a whole though, i did like your arrangement. Good Job.

AxLR - This does have your signature style on it. Great drums, nicely compressed for this kind of music, maybe a bit too punchy, but still good. I am a fan of the retro sounds you went for, it really distinguishes itself from the original and makes it stand out on it's own. The choice of sounds are also good, as we see a nice contrast within each other. The bass locks into the beat, and the side-chain is good for a pumping quality. The problem with the track is the drums itself. The beat is good, but way too present in the mix, so didn't get to enjoy the sounds as much as i'd like. Also there is a jarring absence of percussion. No Hi-Hats, no snares, not even a cymbal. Another flaw, even if it's minor is how it drags slightly. I can give it slack for this genre, but i did find it a bit...samey? On the whole though a really well produced track.

Good Job guys!

1) Mr. L. Love how you klevarly added in some pretty kick ass alterations and maintained the mood quite well. Lots of creativity here. I'd have loved to hear even more exploration, but what I got did not disappoint. "Monochromatic Graveyard" deserves the top-dog spot ;)

2) AxLR - Certainly the best produced of the lot. Some cool re-interpretations here too. Had a sort of Zelda 1 dungeon vibe to it haha. I enjoyed this one quite a bit too! Especially the breakdown parts where the arp takes a backseat for a bit...I kinda wish I did that in my remix lmao. Got a bit repetitive for me though. Still, not bad by any means!

BONUS/Dudley Ghost - has some Command & Conquer and NiN feels here. Love that doo-doo-doo bass. Great filter effects. Nice pitch bend stuff and the bubbles! "Alucard Kissed Me" sure is a sexy take for sure. Quite a liberal take, but there's a lot of cool stuff to be gleamed here for sure!

Before reasoning I just want to check that we all agree to say that if Dudley's entry wouldn't have been a bonus mix, It's no doubt he would have won. This just is a work of art. We do recognise the source, but it's obvious that it's nothing like it.
Genre, ambiance and instruments are in a wonderful harmony, so much that you surprised me.
That second roll after the break is the main piece of this work in my opinion.

Now, for the contestants.

+ HoboKa, as always, your instruments are well balanced and the piece is really solid. Even when you're trolling, you're taking time to make it a strong work. As for the remix, well thanks for reminding that you host MnP, I think this clearly shows that you're fully mastering your work. Take my vote !
P.S. : That arp at the end is really cool. A detail, but a cool one.

+ KlevarKoopa, Your remix is really interesting in terms of structure and recomposition. I like how fast-paced it is, It plays well. But... I'm not a great fan of midi drums. They feel off. Some saturation, maybe levelling volume a little bit efficiently would be really great. Your organ in the end really got me. It was really awesome.
A little bit more work on mastering would have done so much to it. Some flails but a solid work, keep up the good work !

This is such a good round, with so much good entries, I'm glad I participated.
And congrats in advance for the winner.

Rainbow Cemetery (AxLR Remix) (AxLR): Loved the sync glitch synth and the old-school vibe this one has! It really brought out the "horror" atmosphere of the original song. Great job!

SoTN_Budget MIDI Rip Horror (v2) (hoboka): I really like this one! As you said in your description, it is what it is, but it has good production and excellent instrumentation choices.

Alucard Kissed Me [Rainbow Cemetery] [Bonus Mix] (Dudley Ghost): Oh wow, I loved the cool and chilly soundscape! It reminds me a bit of the Monochrome Forest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

AxLR - Like the introduction which continues for like 2 mins. I think a shorter song would be better with this setup but I like what's there.
HoboKa - Good update of the song. At some points the song is 'empty' in the background
Kleverkoopa - Song is very well balanced, the drums are working really well with the choirs and organs.
Dudley Ghost - Liked the funny things you used in combination with this source a lot. 6 minutes full of variation.
