In the context of PRC I think Flurry of Flames was a better candidate. The theme has been reaaaally mellowed out from the source, so it might not jive with people who love the source tune - I'm not partial to it since I've never played 7th Saga, so it's fine for me lol. Really love the vocal touches and the most of the sample usage.

Silverpool - Love the square sound to it all - feels very retro sounding.

Tough choice between hoboka and Flurry of Flames for 1st place. In the end I decided I liked hoboka's additional flurries and variations more than Flurry's cool chill take on the piece. I would have liked to see the snare drum rolls tightened up a bit from the midi (something nobody did) and I would have loved some actual lyrics from Flurry.

Hoboka: I like how you kept the epic boss feel of the source.

Flurry of Flames: Interesting take on the source. I think you succeeded in having a mellow atmosphere, but I feel like you could have made it even more mellow. I'm not sure how you'd do that exactly.

Silverpool - Like this 'dark approach' to this source. The combination between the stuff you put in the song works good, altough it's a bit repetitive.
HoboKa - The choirs are a nice addition to the song. The building up of the song is a bit comparable to Silverpool's song.
Flurry of Flames - This song is different as the other two. The piano and choirs work good together.

Close call, liked all of them in a different way.
