Trism - I liked the feeling of the song. Although it's not the most varying song ever, it has a good quality.

Esperado - You did it on a different way. The song has a lot in it and has much different samples.

OneUp - This is the most funny song of the three, great creativity and overall a good mix.

I think you all deserve first place.

It was very hard to choose between the 2 tracks. In the end I gave OneUp 1st place as he managed make to capture the cheerfulness of the source and made Miley Cyrus tolerable :) Esperado; this was one of the best tracks I've heard from you. In other circumstances you would have got 1st from me.

Oneup-I never heard that song, but this remix was well mixed and fun to listen to most of the way through. I will say the miley bits felt a bit off, like the vocals werent mixed in right, or just that the key of her singing wasnt a good fit for the rest of the remix. It was still funny though.

Trism- The actual arrangement of the piece felt pretty solid to me, but the instruments were all pretty stiff and not very adventurous. maybe layer a few sounds over each other through a mix bus with some EQ or compression to create a nice coherent and full sounding instrument.

If I Had a Hammer had the bassline in major key and the melody in minor key in the first part. This wasn't actually all that jarring, maybe because there was not much harmony in the track, mainly just the bassline and melody. The bassline in the other part seems clashing too. I liked the change of the melody to minor. With the bassline adjusted to fit it, it makes a great interpretation. Very sort of "cartoon mystery" mood. The tomtom beat is also quite good! Excellent fills midway through too!

Like A Wrecking Crew - the vocal was obviously in a different key (or mode? theoryshmeory) than the rest of the piece, again it didn't really clash but it didn't click together super great either. (To my ears it seems the vocal has a different tonal center, and never(?) ends up in the tonal center of the source tune like your ears expect it to. orsumthing) Nice funny backing, I liked it very much, would fit into a remake 100%.

Happy Smash was the tightest overall package. It might have actually been tighter without the piano intro, although the piano does feature in the end so it does tie back to it. Nice distorted bg lead around the first minute mark!
