I went with DrumJ8 as first place, mainly due to the excellent drum work. Evktalo's track kicks in nicely about half way through, but the overall track feels a bit messy to be honest.

evktalo - the hi hat pattern became repetitive pretty quick, maybe try changing it up from section to section, or take it out during one section or another. the last bit starting at 2:58 was real nice, my favorite part.

Trism - sounds kind of empty @ 00:58, maybe try adding some arpeggios or some other element in the background to fill it in (I should probably listen to my own advice too about parts sounding empty).

Both pieces were rough, but showed that their respective genre switches were quite workable.

See you was quite fun, though I didn't hear the source in there as much as I'd have liked (might have been just me though). OTOH I liked how it was repurposed. A bit disjointed, but quite promising. Really good groove in places.

I liked the "airiness" I heard in You Leave. I thought the lead sound that enters in the middle breakdown is too hard for the rest of the soundscape, as was the last lead. Really liked the low murmuring bass.

I think I got a bit more interest out of See you although You Leave.. felt more complete, although it too didn't feel like a complete structure. Very close call!

Trism: i really dug the way you arranged the intro and the quiety section. i feel it ends a bit abruptly though, theres no real energy in the last bit (After the quiet part).the leads were groovy. you should throw some glitch effects in there to spice it up.

Drumj8: sound of the sound design seems almost too mellow. the flute lead doesnt really stand out and i feel like it could. if you could make it a sax too, i think that would spice it up... or a flamenco guitar.I really like this concept though. especially right around 0:53.

Evktalo:this is so mellow i spaced out twice while listening and had to remember that i was supposed to be listening critically. I think some of the timbres of instruments are too similar and wash over each other. but it could just be a mixing issue.

It was a close vote (again), I liked Trism's song the most, so he gets first place.
