Hylian Lemon - I like the lead. It's short, but I like what you did.
Just64helpin - Nice intro. The middle part sounds like a new start, but I like it. The last section isn't adding something to the song.
Txai - I like the drums, but there are too many different samples. Some of them where really nice.
I'm happy I could add your song as well.

Let's Get Dangerous was definitely the most polished piece. It took the source to a different place, to the future, all the way to the year 2000! Or perhaps 200X. On the downside, it offers most of it's energy at the first half, and chills the rest without 100% steam.

My Name is Darkwing Duck had a varying arrangement, but the guitar and especially the drum sounds grated me. That open hihat is damned loud. But overall, nice jazzy romping. The bleepy outro was fun.

Winging It has a very rough sounding intro, it's fun to hear something so rough from HL. :) Very similar to the original with updated sounds. The bass used long notes, which didn't work for such a rhythmical track. Strings had a bit of a similar problem, although there I hear some volume variation, except in the end.

1 - Had a nice big-band feel to the arrangement, despite the electronic sound. Some balance issues, more bass less drums.

2 - Not quite the big-band sound. It had a jazzy feel, but there was almost no chord structure in places. It got better when the brass came in near the end. Way too much drums, as well. Especially the hi-hat. More bass please.

3 - This was boring. I never got into it. It was a chore to finish listening to.

Arrangement wise - from most liberal to least. A lot of similarity to the source, probably due to time constraints this time around.
I have to say that I really enjoyed 64's more thought out approach to the source.

Just64helpin got my no1 vote, partly because that he's the only one who can't be blaimed for MIDI-ripping. It was a really interesting take-on with nice synths. Only complaint is the overall sound. Too thin and it has some kind of noise here and there. I was on my way to make a bonus entry and it should have sounded kind of like this one. Then I found that it was too hard, which gives more kudos to just64.

I enjoyed Hylian and Txais songs a lot, because this is the way I've always wanted too hear the source being done (but of course, with a real big band). It was really hard, but I chose Txai as 2nd because he used better instruments/synths and better mastering. I like how Hylian played with that lead sound though.

just64helpin - I really like the arrangement! The ending was a little disappointing, though; I felt like it should have been more climactic rather than trailing off the way it did.

Txai - There are some interesting original ideas at the end, but the rest of the mix just stays too close to the source in my opinion.

"Winging It", although the shortest, had this... I dunno, "flair" to it. Made me start thinking of the Blues Brothers, and now I can't stop. Still working out if that's a good thing or not.

(But seriously, for a bloke who really doesn't like drums all that much, I thought those were awesome.)

The other two... Sorry. I haven't had time to familiarize myself with the source, so I can't comment much on the composition or anything. Txai's song kinda rubbed me wrong with the too-loud-cymbals, hence the third-place, otherwise sounded quite good.

I was more of a Bonkers kid, really...

I guess it's a good thing that Txai's song was allowed into the contest, because it gets my vote for first place.

I liked the other two about the same as each other, except that Hylian_Lemon's was too short, so that one got last place.
